Stepping Stones at Lingley Mere in Warrington is based in Great Sankey Business Park.

The newly two-storey purposed built facility, that has replaced the existing nursery on Lingley Mere Business Park, includes a bespoke sensory room and four induvial classrooms on the ground floor.

The nursery caters for children aged from six weeks to five years old in a safe, stimulating and fun environment.

The new site also provides easy access off the main road and a private car park to enable convenient drop-offs and collections for parents.

Qualified, supportive staff help your child progress and develop.

Children benefit from physical activity, French lessons as well as trips to zoos and museums.

This nursery setting is absolutely fantastic. Both of my daughters have received fantastic care whilst attending here over the past few years. Staff are caring and friendly - this goes for every member of staff I have ever spoken with and about any query I've had. My daughters love playing both inside
and out, and they learn so much whilst here, I highly recommend Stepping Stones Day Nursery at Lingley Mere.

Our little boy started at Stepping Stones Day Nursery when he was 8 months old and has had a great experience in every room he's progressed through.
It is very clear through the welcome we get each day, and the way he talks about everyone when he's at home, that all of the staff really care for him
and make sure his time at nursery is a fun and enjoyable experience.
I am also confident they've had a positive influence on his development, supporting him to walk, talk and now learn numbers and letters.
His little sister has also recently started the nursery and all the staff have done everything they can to help her settle in.
I'm very grateful to all the team at Stepping Stones!

Stepping Stones Day Nursery have been brilliant with my little boy. He was very unsettled starting and they were just lovely and patient with him. The feedback each day is thorough and he now enjoys going there. I love seeing pictures of him there.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since February 2023, she was 10 months old.
She has come on leaps and bounds in her development, in every way.
The staff have helped her build confidence and become the clever little girl she is today.
All staff are always happy and welcoming.
They are
very supportive if I, or my husband, have any questions/concerns.
I can not be happier with the nursery and its staff.
My daughter loves attending, she is always excited about going, she talks about it when she's at home, she even role plays at home, and she, of course, is the teacher.
My daughter has a very good relationship with the staff, as do I.

My son has been at Stepping Stones Day Nursery for almost 18 months. He absolutely loves it which makes it so much easier as a parent when you drop him off! They have assisted with every stage of his development, most recently adjusting into the toddler room which has been a big step up for him.

My little girl has attended this nursery for just over a year and has transitioned from the babies room, through pre-toddlers and recently into toddlers. Each room has helped her develop in so many different ways at each stage, and all of the girls in each room are an absolute credit to the nursery.
I know my little girl is with people who genuinely care for her when I drop her off! She always comes out with the biggest smile, and seeing what she's been up to with her friends throughout the day via the app and through handovers with the staff is fabulous. Never had any issues, and the communication has always been spot on.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery has been fantastic for my daughter! From day one, the staff have been warm, caring, and supportive, creating a nurturing environment where she feels happy and safe.
The team provides engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social development. She loves
the fun crafts, story time, and outdoor play, always coming home excited to share her day. The staff genuinely care about the children and keep parents updated with regular photos and progress reports.
The facilities are clean, safe, and well-equipped, with a strong focus on learning through play. Stepping Stones is more than just childcare, it's a place where children grow, make friends, and gain confidence.

My son has come on so much since coming to Stepping Stones Day Nursery. He gets on so well with his key person and they are great with the children. I like that the nursery continually improves as well, recently they have begun to use the nursery app to put diary entries on, which is a great way to
see what he has been up to at nursery.

My daughter has been going to Stepping Stones Day Nursery since September 2024 when she was 21 months old. She has come on leaps and bounds since she's been going to nursery and we have seen such a huge difference in her. The staff are so caring and patient and are great with our daughter.
My son is
due to start in April 2025 just after his 1st birthday and I already know he will have the same great experience.
I would wholly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone!

My daughter starting Stepping Stones Day Nursery when she was a year old. From her very first sessions, I felt as though I was handing her over to extended family, all the staff were so caring and nurturing. They took a great interest to learn her routines and to find out what comforted her. I felt
confident and happy that my daughter was in such excellent hands. Our daughter is now 19 months old and has come on brilliantly since being at Stepping Stones, she interacts well with other children, is confident and most importantly of all, happy. All the staff at the nursery are incredibly friendly and approachable. They keep us updated daily on what our daughter has been doing, with regular pictures. The nursery is in such a beautiful location and my daughter regularly goes to the library, duck pond and park which she loves. I myself have a disability and the management have been tremendous at ensuring access needs such as accessible parking are available to me, something which I really appreciate.

This nursery has been fantastic for both my boys! My eldest started in January 2019 and my youngest will finish September 2026, so we have had many years with this nursery! One thing that stands out is how attentive and caring the staff are, my boys loved their nursery workers and both made lots of
friends. They learnt many skills there, including using a knife and fork, which was a surprise for us! Very approachable and accommodating, would highly recommend.

It's a fantastic nursery. From the first people you meet at the door, through to the last person, everyone smiles and is very welcoming. This sets a great tone for the children but also for the parents walking in. The staff are lovely, kind, happy and calm every day. I'm sure, as parents, we know how
hard that is to do every minute of the day with children and the chaos they can bring. I am very glad that we chose to send our child to this nursery.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Our son loves it, runs in with no hesitation. Loves all of the staff, has his favourites of course, but happy to be with them all.
Our son has a minor medical need of general observation for any changes. Any concerns and the staff are on the phone
updating us and confirming if there's anything to be worried about.
Feel very relaxed knowing he's being taken good care of throughout the day.

We couldn't be happier with the care our child receives at Stepping Stones Day Nursery Lingley Mere. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and truly invested in each child's individual development. My child has attended since he was 9 months old. He has grown and developed in the loving care of the staff at Stepping Stones Day Nursery.
He is happy to be left and is excited to tell us of his day within his nursery life.
He had developed so much within the baby room, pre-toddler room and toddler
room and we have seen a more playful and confident side of him since he has been in the pre-school room within the last year.

We have been using Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Lingley Mere for several years over two children and we have been delighted with the care and development they have received whilst in this setting.
From countless activities both indoor and outdoor, visits to the local park, going out for walks, roasting
marshmallows to learning through play, small world activities and making lots of friends.
The staff within the setting are outstanding and all fully care for our children and know their wants, needs and preferences when it comes to play.
Our key worker is attentive, engages with our child and has created a level of trust that is second to none.
Watching our children thrive within the setting, to grow and achieve so much during their time here has been paramount. The skill base grows daily and our children have grown in confidence, are excited to learn and are developing so much.

My son goes to the preschool room in this nursery. The staff are lovely and friendly and are always able to tell me how my son's day has been. The part I like the best about the nursery is the open-door policy for his room, I can go in at any point and see that he is happy and safe. The nursery itself
is completely secure and always manned by a staff member at the front door. I also love the photos that I can on the app of his learning. I feel my child is completely safe and secure and is happy and settled at this nursery and the staff are lovely and helpful.

We have been so fortunate to have our son attend Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Lingley Mere for the past three years, and we have been so happy with the progress he has made. The range of activities they offer is great, with a real focus on promoting both educational and emotional development. Whether
it's messy play, outdoor play, or imaginative games with key learning incorporated. The highlight for us has been the regular walks they go on, it's such a lovely way to get the children outside, connecting with nature and learning about the world around them. We've seen such a positive impact on his communication, independence, and overall happiness from attending the nursery.
The staff at Stepping Stones are warm, caring, and always have his best interest at heart, Thank you.
We have felt recently the preschool room is overcrowded, but the staff are always doing everything they can.

Hello there,


I have a wealth of experience working in the early years and have been part of the Stepping Stones family for 27 years. Starting as an early years practitioner I have progressed and developed my career as a Nursery Manager experiencing all aspects of childcare and management.


My latest challenge, which has been my biggest challenge within my career so far is supporting and developing a large setting for the children, families and staff within.


My passion has always remained in childcare and that is to support children and families with the knowledge and skills gained throughout from beginning to end.

I have worked in childcare now for the past 31 years, working alongside fantastic colleagues, children and their families throughout my time.


No two days are the same, there is a new challenge awaiting around every corner which is what keeps me going, whether that is supporting the child, families or team. I always strive for the best outcomes for all.


Primarily I chose my career path a long time ago for the same reason I continue to be working in a nursery environment today and that is simple….. I love to see children thrive as they learn and develop through the early years,


Secondary, I thrive when I see new colleague start their career path as I did with hopes and dreams for their future.
