WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 27TH APRIL 2026

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats and Clever Kittens Next week in Clever Cats we will be looking at pets! The children will be looking at the pets they have and the differences between them! The children will also be looking at different types of pets and writing their names. The Clever Kittens will be looking at differences between animals such as furry or not furry. The Clever Kittens will also be working on pencil control and making meaning to marks! Our book of the week is 'The Pets We Get’ and our song of the week is 'Tiny Turtle.’

Ladybirds Next week, the Ladybirds will be focusing on Pet Week. They will take part in a fun pet hunt, searching for pictures of pets hidden in the sand tray and recognising their own pet from home.

The children will also enjoy a game of sound bingo, where they will listen carefully to different animal sounds and try to identify which animal it is, matching each sound to the correct picture.

Butterflies Next week within the Baby Room we will be exploring the topic of pets, the children will be investigating different textures and sounds linking in with pets they may find in the home or out on walks. We will so be going on walks in the local area looking out for animals.
