Celebrating 35 years of Childbase at Windmill Hill Day Nursery

Festivities were well underway at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon as children and colleagues marked 35 years of Childbase Partnership with a week of celebrations.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Whitehill Way, staff teams decorated the setting with balloons and bunting for the occasion, whilst children showcased their creativity by making ‘35’ themed arts and crafts and posters, before enjoying a fun-filled afternoon, complete with music, dancing, games, as well as a special lunch and garden party.

Meanwhile, colleagues invited nursery families to celebrate with them over cakes created by the talented kitchen team, before being treated to a takeaway pizza party and inspirational themed gifts by their managers as a thank you for their hard work and continued dedication.

As part of the festivities, colleagues also took part in a company-wide prize giveaway, with Windmill Hill staff winning treats in the competition including beauty boxes, candles, cheese hampers and Perkbox points to exchange for shopping vouchers and other benefits.

Over the years, Windmill Hill have received numerous ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Ofsted, as well as helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds for worthy causes including CRUK, Mind and Bliss, contributing to the 3.5 million plus figure raised by Childbase Partnership for charity, as well as being the proud holders of a host of accolades, including the prestigious Green Flag with Distinction from Eco-Schools for their environmental efforts.
