Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool

I am so pleased I chose Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool as my daughter’s nursery. The staff are so friendly, professional and just all round wonderful. They have made us feel so welcome and they settled my daughter in amazingly. I can’t wait to see how she changes and progresses at Bright Horizons!

Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool is an excellent nursery. My son has been going here for almost a year. He settled very quickly and the staff are incredible and you can tell how much they love the children. He’s not even 2 and he happily walks into nursery every morning and gives me a goodbye kiss and wave. Their communication is excellent and senior management is always accommodating and understanding. The site is new so all the equipment is in excellent condition, the nursery is always clean and hygienic. The outdoor space isn’t huge but considering the location this is understandable but it’s definitely large enough for children the ages that they cater for. I would highly recommend this nursery to a friend.

This place is fantastic, we have had a great experience at Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool. Care, attention and engagement from the staff dealing with our little one has been there since day one! Definitely recommend to friends and family. Management is top-notch and the support team are a great bunch!

Our son started nursery at 14 months in the “Caterpillars” baby room and is now in a room for 1-2 years old, at 20 months. We’ve been delighted with the care he’s received at Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool. All the staff seem to know our son by name and greet him in the morning. We get regular app updates (including photos) that mean we know how his day is going and staff are always really willing to speak about how things are going and tell us nice stories about what activities he has been enjoying. Our son has come on so much in the last few months and we know that is down, in part, to the excellent care and attention he’s had at nursery. He is usually very happy at drop-off and is still smiling when we arrive to collect him in the evening (he often wants us to stay longer so he can show us whatever new book or toy he’s discovered). Thanks to all the Glow Worms staff, who are doing a brilliant job!

The staff take their time for handover, even at busy times and all questions are always answered quickly by management or other members of room staff. They’re all a pleasure to talk to making it more comforting to drop our little one off each day.

Really welcoming and helpful staff - particularly helpful for new starters and first-time parents. Great activities for the children and feel they are in very safe hands. Really enjoy the updates on the app too.

We have been beyond impressed with Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool, after moving our son from a former nursery. Almost all of the staff greet him by name and he has made strong bonds with two staff members in particular. The nursery is very clean, big and we particularly like that there is a separate downstairs play area. Staff are extremely responsive to messages (often answering in under an hour) and we get several updates a day on the activities of the children. Not only do we get to see what our son is up to but we can also pair this at home (e.g. if he’s doing colours, we can read a book or ask him about it). The activities are laid out and there is a theme per week. I really cannot speak highly enough about the organisation of this nursery - we are very glad you opened in Purley!

My little girl really enjoys coming in each day. Runs off happily to the staff in the room. She has brought home some beautiful pictures and drawings. Really enjoys the food and has begun to eat so much more at home because of this.

We also liked that Bright Horizons has a clear learning pathway and a really cool interactive app.

We moved my daughter here from another nursery that we were not happy with. We really had lost faith in the nursery system and when we met the manager, we took a punt, as the nursery hadn't opened yet. The manager came across as competent, trustworthy and experienced. Something that we didn't feel the management at our previous nursery was and she proved us right! She has done a great job in recruiting mature and caring staff that really look after the children. The difference in my daughter's happiness, behaviour and attitude is like night and day since moving her. She likes everyone, she has lots of fun, we get plenty of updates (which is so reassuring), she has developed her eating and the staff are all great and some real stand-out team members, that I hope are retained!

My daughter has been at Bright Horizons, Purley, since the day they opened. She goes five mornings a week and has created fantastic bonds with the staff. The staff are so caring, friendly and always make my daughter feel like she's coming from home, to home. The variety in snacks and lunches are really healthy and they have a good range of variety. It's expanded my daughter's taste palate, she's eating different things every day, that she would not eat at home before. My daughter has excelled there already, in such a short amount of time. She's happy and learning every day. I love all the artwork that she creates each week and the pictures of what she had been up to on the app, gives me peace of mind, seeing how she is enjoying her time there.
