Our son has been at monkey puzzle nursery since April 2024, when he was 10 months old. He's absolutely loved being at this nursery. It's such a lovely environment and the staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. It's great that there isn't much of a turnover of staff as it allows the children to build really lovely bonds. Next week our son moves up to the toddler room, and I have no doubt that we will be just as happy with the toddler room as we have been with the baby room.

We are very happy with Monkey Puzzle and my daughter has been attending this nursery for a couple of years. The staff are great and keep me informed of what my daughter has been up to (food, sleep, activities etc) and they regularly do educational or fun activities for the children. Although the outside space isn't very big, it's shaded and has a small wooden gazebo which means that they can get some fresh air whatever the weather.

My daughter has been with Monkey Puzzle Guildford since she turned one back in September 2024. She has developed so well in their environment and really enjoys attending nursery. They are always doing amazing activities throughout the day and spend a good amount of time outside in the garden. Communication is great via the app they use and it's lovely to see how much my daughter does during the day! My son started Monkey Puzzle Guildford in January this year, after leaving a local nursery due to several issues with them. What can we say, Monkey Puzzle is an outstanding nursery. My son comes home every day with a big smile on his face with so much to tell me. The team at Monkey Puzzle Guildford goes above and beyond to help my 14-month-old daughter settle in. Initially she had a hard time eating and sleeping at nursery, but we worked together to help her and she's very happy now. They have amazing facilities, a lovely garden where they take them to play outdoors, great balanced meals, so many nice activities that I can't easily do at home like sand pit, water play, painting etc. The managers are always proactive in safeguarding children and responsive on the phone or email. They have cameras in all rooms for safety, and everything is kept clean frequently. The highlight really are the staff, I have visited many nurseries and they are by far people who care the most and enjoy the work they do, beyond just being qualified and experienced. This is a lovely caring nursery. Our daughter does so much artwork here which she absolutely adores and the team always have engaging activities planned for the day. The managing team are great as well. The inside spaces are really good, the outdoors isn’t enormous but they are good at doing a lot with what they have. We visited a few nurseries in the area which we weren’t bowled over with, so we were very pleased when we found Monkey Puzzle!

Since my daughter has been at Monkey Puzzle, she has really come on leaps and bounds. Any concerns I had about putting her in the nursery when I returned to work were alleviated when I met the Monkey Puzzle team. My daughter has some firm favourites, but they are all great with the children and know them all by name (including the management team!). The nursery team are communicative, friendly and professional - and genuinely seems to care about the children they look after! They seem to have a varied timetable of activities and a balanced weekly menu. So glad we chose Monkey Puzzle.

She can be quite shy and nervous in new surroundings, but from the very start, the team were amazing with her, and she quickly settled in and loves all the staff. They knew how to handle her, and I have no worries whatsoever when she is at nursery! She has a lovely close bond with her key worker, which I love! The daily updates are fantastic, always seem to be doing something different, educational and interesting. Nice to always be kept in the loop!

Monkey Puzzle Guildford has an absolutely amazing, friendly and considerate management and staff. They are well-qualified, experienced and professional. They do their very best for the best progress and well-being of all children. They are very passionate about providing a variety of activities, opportunities and experiences to keep the children engaged throughout the day. My son started nursery back in November at 10 months old. He had a tough start with meal and nap refusals, and being all around very emotional but the nursery staff were amazing! They helped us with the transition and now my son absolutely loves being at nursery. Staff are so caring and attentive, and make sure to keep the babies busy with both indoor and outdoor activities. Food is offered to the babies throughout the day and the day-to-day variety of what's offered is impressive. The managers are also wonderful and always responsive to your queries. I was surprised when my daughter took home a little Christmas tree decoration which she said they made in daycare. It was so sweet together with the little bag of reindeer food which they concocted. We will make them both part of our annual Christmas decorations from now on.

Meet the Team (34)
My name is Gina Richards and I am thrilled to introduce you to our new nursery in Guildford.
I have worked in childcare for 18 years having obtained a Level 3 in Childcare and Education as well as a Level 3 in Management.
I am dedicated to providing every child with outstanding learning experiences to support them to reach their full potential and thrive in all areas of development.
I work with my team to create positive environments and ensure both the team and the children feel supported.
We would love to show you our nursery so please do contact us to arrange a tour of our beautiful Guildford nursery.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Studies from the University of Winchester. My degree covered child development, safeguarding, EYFS, transitions, and more.
I have been working with children in various settings for ten years. After graduating from University, I joined a nursery as a Senior Practitioner working in the toddler room. I then transitioned into preschool.
Following this I worked as a nanny for three years and in a local Infant school, supporting and teaching in Reception class.
After a few years, I moved back to a nursery setting. I worked as an Assistant Manager, where my main roles were to manage the preschool, be the Early Years Representative and be the Deputy Safeguarding lead.
I am excited to be a part of the team at Monkey Puzzle Guildford and look forward to welcoming children and their families to the nursery.
