Little Wellies is a family owned and run nursery offering high quality childcare between Bradford and Leeds. Set in a beautiful detached stone building close to Idle village centre, it is easily accessible but set back from the main road.

Children have access to a wealth of resources, a vast amount of outside space and a wonderful interactive sensory room. They ensure that children are captivated and engrossed in their learning through beautiful, authentic resources and skilful interactions by practitioners. You will see few “toys” at Little Wellies, after all why use a plastic “play” tea set when a real ceramic one is much more enticing!

A lovely nursery with a family-friendly atmosphere. My son runs in every day excited to spend time with his friends and engage in different activities. We love how much outdoor provision there is, and that the staff make the effort to take the children out of the setting when feasible (local woods,
idle park, etc.)

Little Wellies is fantastic. My son has been there just over a month now and he is enjoying every minute. The transition process was very child-focused and all staff members really took the time to get to know us as a family and what our little boy needed to settle. Staff really know him well and it
makes me feel so assured as a parent that I am leaving him somewhere he feels happy. My little boy loves it. He does so many activities, I particularly love the focus on messy play and outdoor play. I would recommend to anyone in the local area.

My daughter has been at Little Wellies since the end of June in the baby room and they have been brilliant. She really struggled to settle when she started (and I struggled too!) but the staff were so reassuring, giving her all the cuddles she needed until she has felt more at home and keeping me informed
on how she’s getting on. She loves all the staff in the baby room and has developed loads with their encouragement since she started. She loves the food and the nursery have been amazing at accommodating her food allergies from the start.
Couldn’t recommend the nursery enough!

Sending my daughter to Little Wellies Day Nursery Idle was hands down one of the best decisions we have ever made! She absolutely loves it there. All the team are friendly, so caring and will do anything and everything in their power to make sure your little one has the best time and learns through
play! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting with the team and loves her days in nursery!
She loves playing outside and is so adventurous and has made such strong bonds with all the team and the other kids there, it’s beautiful to see!

Cannot be happier with Little Wellies Day Nursery and all they have done. My little boy has thrived and is continuing to do so. The staff are lovely and approachable. Management are great. Cannot fault it. My son loves going and has done from day dot! Can’t wait for him to continue going over the years

What an absolutely amazing group of people who welcomed my little girl for just one term when her first nursery closed after summer. Every member of the team are so friendly and helpful and heartwarming. My little girl was difficult to leave at first but has settled amazing thanks to the support and

My daughter has been attending Little Wellies for almost a year now. There are days when she's so excited to go, and days when she's apprehensive. Regardless the staff are always on hand to help settle her or share in her excitement. I love how they encourage independence here, from hanging up their
coats etc to serving their own meals and clearing away. The only thing I would like to see would be some kind of app or interactive communication for updates throughout the nursery day.

Our child is coming to the end of his first full term at Little Wellies and we are so happy with the term he has had. He is looked after by a great team of ladies who always have his best interests at heart and do all they can to help him feel settled and safe. The team are so caring and even though
he struggles to say goodbye, we know he will settle quickly enough to enjoy his breakfast and have a great day ahead. We love seeing pictures of our son's day and hearing about the lovely things he has done at pick-up time. Having tried a different nursery previously, we cannot recommend Little Wellies enough and are so pleased we chose Little Wellies for our child's nursery education.

The progress our two-year-old has made since joining Little Wellies in September is amazing. After a few weeks, he had a bit of a 'wobble' and became quite anxious about attending. The support that both he and we, as parents, received from the staff at the time was fantastic, and he has now come through
it and now he bounds in and out of the door with a huge smile on his face. He lights up when he talks about the staff at home, and I don't think you can ask for much more than that.

An absolutely delightful nursery. After relocating my 2-year-old daughter (to a nursery closer to home), it was an easy pick. From the first look around, Little Wellies was warm and welcoming. The manager is knowledgeable and it is clear he has a passion and a real interest in the education of the children
at Little Wellies. The care and attention to ensuring my daughter felt comfortable and settled, allowed for a smooth transition. Little Wellies has a great outdoor space, which was a real positive for me and my family. Activities and provisions are varied, child-centred and age-appropriate. Key workers are friendly, caring and enthusiastic. They show a genuine interest in your child and their progression.

I could not fault Little Wellies, I won't leave my daughter with many people but I wholeheartedly trust everyone at Little Wellies. You can genuinely see how much they love, respect and care for every child. The enthusiasm at the end of the day when they give you an update as to what they've been up
to, what they've done new/accomplished is so lovely to see. I would always recommend Little Wellies to anyone who wants a loving space for their child.

I can't recommend Little Wellies enough! My daughter had a hard time separating, to begin with, and all of the staff were amazing welcoming her in each morning and settling her. She has learnt and developed so much since joining Little wellies. She has built friendships and so much confidence both socially
and physically. Each member of staff has taken the time to get to know her and they are great at letting you know what she has done at the end of each day! She absolutely loves the outdoor space in which they spend a lot of time. Oh and the food is a hit too, she loves mushrooms and veg sticks now! From a parent's perspective, I have been really impressed with the communication and with how prompt they are with responding to emails etc too!

We elated at the changes we have seen in our daughter since starting at Little Wellies in February 2022. She attended another nursery previously and after a series of incidents we decided to change nurseries as it was impacting her wellbeing and happiness.
Our daughter settled in straight away, is
super happy to attend Little Wellies and tells us all the amazing things she has been doing. The staff make it feel like you are part of the family. They are warm, chatty and welcoming. They take time to get to know each of the children and spend quality time developing skills all whilst having lots of fun. The activities are fun, enabling and engaging. We would recommend Little Wellies to everyone.

Everyone has been amazing from the introductory sessions to helping my big boy settle in and feel a part of the Little Wellies family.
We still have wobbles some mornings but the staff know the kids so well that they know how to calm them, so they have a great day.
One of the best things about the
nursery is the way it is child-led and if a child has a particular interest in something they explore this further.
There are so many opportunities for growth and development and these are documented beautifully in their record books.

Little Wellies Idle are absolutely amazing, they are so attentive and they treat the children like it’s their own which is exactly what I wanted. It’s got a lovely family feel to it, they are so accommodating and nothing is ever too much to ask.

Wonderful staff. Very supportive. Happy to send my child there. Initially, my son was not settling there but everyone helped me. Now he is very happy there. I get feedback on daily basis. The nursery also has social media page to upload pictures, which is amazing to see what children are doing there.

Little Wellies Idle is a fantastic nursery. The staff are professional, friendly and accommodating and go above and beyond for the children in their care. Our daughter absolutely loves nursery and speaks about the staff like they are an extension of her family. She has certainly grown in confidence
and independence during her time and we can see how much she learns there. The admin team and managers are also brilliant, dealing with queries and concerns with professionalism and care. We cannot recommend the team at Little Wellies highly enough!
