I cannot recommend Children’s 1st enough, my son has been attending for just over 2 years now and I’m so happy with how he’s cared for and the bonds he’s created with the staff. He’s never upset or reluctant to go in, he looks forward to it!

The facilities are amazing, which makes me feel less guilty for having to leave him while I work since I know he’s genuinely having so much fun learning and exploring.

Honestly cannot fault the nursery at all, since my child has been going she has come on leaps and bounds. I’ve highly recommended the nursery to all my friends who have kids in the nursery already or are pregnant and they agree after viewing the nursery no other nursery even compares!

Children 1st @ Oakwood is an outstanding nursery, our daughter is thriving here and often declares “I love nursery”. The nursery catered to our daughter’s milk intolerance which has now overcome. The staff are friendly and there are plenty of activities for the children. The forestry with all the animals is unparalleled when it comes to what other nurseries are offering in the area. I also like the events that the nursery put on which gives parents the opportunity to visit and speak with staff.

Excellent, knowledgeable, kind and caring staff. My daughter loves attending nursery and would go every day if she could. Such a comfort when you know you’re leaving your child with such lovely people and when you know your child is so happy.

My daughter has attended the nursery for over a year now and loves it! I can count on one hand the amount of days she has been upset about being dropped off as she is always so excited to go.
Everyone who works there seems to know her name, even management and staff from rooms she doesn’t currently go in.
Her speech has come on leaps and bounds and it’s apparent how much they learn with what she comes home talking about.
The outdoor space and culture around getting children outside in all weathers is my favourite part of the nursery; we are a screen-free home and the fact this is carried on in the nursery too is great.
Food is varied and my daughter always eats everything.

My daughter is on long-term medication and I have had no issues with this being given to her which really gives me peace of mind.

When or son first joined the nursery, the transition wasn't easy for me as a mom. The team in Jemima Puddleduck have been amazing with both me and my son.
My son has progressed greatly since attending nursery, with speech, understanding and his walking.

I highly recommend the nursery and the team!

We couldn’t be happier with our nursery choice. The nursery staff are all so friendly and have been extremely supportive since our daughter started. She has built so much confidence since joining through the encouragement of her key workers and the beautiful safe environment she’s in. Thank you to everyone at Children 1st @ Oakwood for all that you do.

My children fully enjoy their time here! Always a different activity to take part in, various rooms and areas to explore - the tinkering room, music room, baking room, math room, art area, construction area, huge garden, and of course the amazing forest. Children are involved in animal care and my children absolutely adore the goats! The staff are great! A 5-star nursery all around!

From the moment I walked into this nursery I felt at home and at ease. The staff, the building all felt very secure and gave me that warm homely feeling. No other nursery I had visited gave me that and it’s so important when you are leaving your child all day for the first time. The children were all happy and singing, playing with the vast amount of toys and activities, having so much fun.
My son has grown and flourished so much since attending Children 1st. His speech, his understanding and his confidence, I couldn’t ask for anything more. He loves all the staff too and often talks about them outside of nursery.
All the facilities are unbelievable they have everything you could ever wish for as a child. That coupled with the fact the staff are so lovely, friendly and supportive you really have got it all.

I am so blessed my son has his place here and I cannot recommend Children 1st enough, love it as much as my boy does, thank you so much every one.

Every single person who works at Children 1st is incredible. They know every single child’s name as they walk in, they ask about their mornings/weekends and ask if they’re okay.
They clearly take pride in the work they do; at pick up they clearly tell me what my child has been up to, what they’ve eaten, played with, sleep etc. Any queries I have are answered on the spot clearly and succinctly. If there are 5 parents all at pick up at the same time there’s no pushing the child out the door - everyone gets the same amount of time.
My child has been quite late with every major milestone and the support I and he has received from all the staff has been amazing.

I would never not recommend Children 1st. I know my child is a better person for being in such a supportive environment.

I always feel reassured when leaving my daughter at Children 1st @ Oakwood that she will be taken care of and will also have a day filled with fun and educational activities. I am very happy with the service provided and I feel that Children 1st goes above and beyond their duties and expectations.

My son has been attending Children 1st @ Oakwood for 6 months and in that time I have been blown away by the staff, facilities, the activities they do with the children, the food and more!
My little boy absolutely loves going and has come on leaps and bounds.

It can feel quite daunting when you first drop them off but the staff are brilliant and my son adores them all. It really is home from home.

I feel so fortunate to send our 3 year old daughter to Children 1st Oakwood. She absolutely adores the staff, the environment and thrives being there.

It's a stunning building and grounds, well thought out, and the children who experience the facilities, such as the forest, are incredibly lucky! Everything is high quality and children-centred. It's the best learning environment I have seen. The activities are creative, interactive, fun, and thank you for putting on special events for parents to attend. The potty training and behaviour workshops were incredibly helpful. Everyone works so hard and it feels like a community, even amongst the other parents. Thank you to all the staff, who are second to none, and who I trust wholeheartedly with my daughter. I just wish she could stay longer, say until she is 18?

(On a separate note, the car park and busy road makes getting in and out challenging; I've seen a couple of car accidents.)
