Very happy with our nursery choice and feel confident that my little one is being well looked after.

I cannot recommend Children's 1st Oakwood enough as a childcare setting. Every single staff member has gone above and beyond to support us and our children, since our very first day with them. The setting itself is outstanding, with amazing resources, and the children genuinely love the nursery and their key workers.

Where to begin? What an incredible nursery! The staff go absolutely above and beyond and the facilities are unreal!

My little boy started here at nursery age in 2019. My experience has been beautiful. It's like watching a caterpillar sprout into a butterfly. It has been an amazing journey watching my son thrive and grow into the creative, clever, happy little boy he is. On all occasions management and nursery staff have been highly supportive and understanding, staff have always encouraged positive and creative learning outcomes for my child. I would suggest from my experience they should all be highly recognised for promoting different ways of learning to support each individual's needs. They have always provided effective communication between parents, staff and children. I am so very thankful that my child spent these years at this Nursery. Thank your for giving my son educational skills and the practical experience to allow him to positively move into his next chapter at school. Thank you so much. Highly recommended. Our daughter started nursery in January at Children 1st @ Oakwood and she has loved every minute. The facilities and activities available to the children are second to none and she really connects with her key worker. We have been really happy with the ongoing observations and feedback we receive and that is reflected by the big smile our daughter gives us when we pick her up. We are very happy to have chosen this brilliant nursery.

The facilities are absolutely fantastic, and we can't wait to see her progress and develop through the different stages.

The experiences offered in the classroom and out in the forest school are second to none and I can drop him off knowing he is going to have a fun-filled day with key workers that really care about him!

My child has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old and is now over two years old. Her room leader and key worker are incredible and exactly the kind of people that you want to look after your child; they are loving, encouraging and have such positive energy. All staff are very approachable and visible within the nursery. The resources are all new, and my child loves telling me about the forest and the animals on site. My child is very happy here.

What a wonderful nursery! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a huge range of activities the children partake in - including forest school. The facilities and grounds are amazing! My child has massively grown in confidence since attending Children 1st @ Oakwood, particularly with his independence which is thoroughly encouraged here and there are loads of ways parents are made to feel part of the nursery. Food options are incredibly varied and broadened my little one's pallet. I'm regularly informed about my child's progress, as well as what's happening at nursery and upcoming events. I'd absolutely recommend this nursery!

My son started here in June 2022 when he had just turned 1. He struggled settling into nursery life (just drop off) to begin with but the staff at Children 1st Day Nursery were amazing with us all. They are all lovely and caring and they very quickly created a plan to distract him at drop-off and try to get the same staff to greet us at the door so he could recognise a familiar face. He soon settled and he absolutely loves going! The range of toys and facilities is amazing, he's always doing something new. He eats every single bit of food put in front of him (even two portions sometimes) so the chef must be good! The communication is great and very well organised! I love that the managers are very visible and like to get involved. 100% recommend this lovely nursery.

The staff are amazing at the nursery, so caring and accommodating. My little boy loves going to nursery and I feel reassured knowing he is well looked after. He loves the food and snacks and in the year he has been there he has grown and flourished thanks to the staff.

Both my grandchildren are attending Children 1st @ Oakwood and have grown massively with their development and confidence. The experiences they have been able to be a part of from looking after ducklings to exploring the forest and loads of activities we couldn’t even imagine. When our grandchildren visit they tell us all the wonderful things they have been doing. The staff are so supportive and use goals to help both the children achieve. The management team have always been supportive towards myself and the rest of our family. This really is a lovely place for children to thrive and has such a homely feel to it. The staff members should be proud of the hard work as we can defiantly see the care, time and patience they have for the children and families. Thank you.

The nursery has done a fantastic job with my baby. He speaks now and he is more confident and well-behaved with other kids. He knows he needs to "share" and this has helped also with his little sister. The outdoor space is spectacular! Kids can play with the animals, grow vegetables, play in the sandpit and spend entire days in the woods!

I was invited along to graduation. Overall, it was a lovely afternoon. Lots of thought and detail were put into the afternoon and the little touches in the gift bag were a very nice touch. It was an afternoon enjoyed by many, thank you for all your hard work.

All the nursery staff go above and beyond each day, explaining exactly what has happened that day during our son's stay and we love reading what our son has been up to in both his book and on the app. Our son has really progressed in the last few months and we definitely have everybody at nursery to thank for that.

Both of my daughters attend this setting one is in the baby room all week and the other goes to the after-school/holiday club once a week. The nursery itself is in a beautiful location with lots of outdoor space where my eldest daughter tells me about going on adventures in the forest and helping to look after the animals. She also loves playing in the role play areas she tells me there’s a little shop, a post office, and a pretend house and garden! My youngest daughter who has just turned 1 year and 1 month (started at the nursery when she was nearly 11 months) has settled really well and absolutely loves all the ladies that help look after her. Every day she comes home with a diary saying what she’s been up to etc I also look forward to seeing the photos that get sent home weekly. So far communication has been brilliant on all levels from daily verbal feedback to information emails and invoices. I feel that both my daughters are 100% safe and cared for here, Thank you all so much!
