Nursery on the Green is a converted building in the Village of Redbourn.

Much of the character of the building has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms for the children on the ground floor.

All children have daily access to the fantastic secure and enclosed garden as the nursery fully recognises the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional and physical development.

The nursery provides a happy, social environment where every child is treated as an individual. Children’s days are packed full of activities designed in line with EYFS principles and implemented by highly trained and knowledgeable staff.

They offer an fully inclusive service that includes formula milk, nappies, nappy cream, baby wipes, sun cream and freshly prepared, well-balanced meals throughout the day and all activities.

Located close to St Albans and Hemel Hempstead with excellent transport links nearby and easy access to the M1.

Great place for kids. My son is going to Nursery on the Green (Redbourn) nursery for the last 3 years. He has social anxiety but the staff here is so amazing and always ready to help. There were bad days for my son when he didn't want to go inside the nursery but trust me all three of the staff members
have magic wands. They sat with my son, worked with him and made him a confident, happy little boy.
Senco is great and always ready to help!

My daughter has attended here for just over one year. Starting in the baby room (caterpillars) and now in the middle room (ladybirds). I can't put into words really just how amazing the nursery is and the teams that work with the children. My daughter has come on in her development so much and if I
struggle as a single mum the team at all levels are approachable and supportive in helping and guidance. From the time we arrive I say 'we're here' and my daughter jumps out the car and can't wait to get in and greets everyone with warm hugs and smiles. Which just goes to show how much she loves it there. Honestly It felt like home when I viewed it and it's felt like a safe Haven for us both ever since. Thank you to everyone there!

My little one has been attending since she was 9 months old. This was right in the middle of covid so you can imagine how fraught that was, but literally from day one I didn’t have to worry about her at nursery.
The staff are delightful, all of them, not just her care workers. The communication we
received was great so I can see what she’s been up to and her happy face playing with her mates. The app gives you such peace of mind, and each day she comes back with more and more drawings. Just a fabulous nursery with great facilities, I know she will miss it when she starts school!

Nursery on the Green as a whole is an amazing nursery. From management and teaching staff to the cooks, all staff here are so welcoming, kind, and caring.
The staff have been amazing at helping my daughter settle into the room. They have all kept me informed of how she's been doing throughout the day.
My daughter is a very happy girl when she is at nursery and has settled in quickly. This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the amazing staff.
I don't have a bad word to say about Nursery on the Green! They are all amazing!

Highly recommend Nursery on the Green, everyone made me feel so at ease when first bringing my daughter in. She absolutely loves it and the nursery practitioners. She has progressed so much in the few months she has been there, including using baby sign language and babbling away. I couldn’t be happier
with the nursery, I know she is well looked after whilst I am at work.

Our older son went to Nursery on the Green and loved it so there was no question that when I ended maternity leave with my second son, he would go there too. The building is well set up with different rooms depending on age and the staff are incredibly dedicated to their job - many are the same staff
that were there three years ago, showing the retention is great and the staff enjoy their jobs. My son has attended for three months now and I can already see he has made huge leaps in his development, learning through play. We’re so lucky to have this nursery in the village, it’s a wonderful place!

Our daughter started at the nursery in September 2023. She has been there for 3 months now and has the best time! Their outside area is fantastic and I love that the children can come and go whenever they want to. We have received brilliant observations via the app, so thorough, it’s great to read about
what she’s doing that day and see pictures of her having so much fun. The 2 team leaders in her room have been amazing and have made our daughters settling in so much smoother and have been so kind and caring to her it’s made leaving her so much easier knowing she’s with people that genuinely care and want her to be happy. All of the staff in her room and on reception always make us feel so welcome when we arrive and always have a smile and greet her by her name which makes her feel very special. At pick up we always get feed back about her day. It’s a very nurturing setting and we would definitely recommend Nursery on the green.

Nursery on the Green is an incredible nursery that I would highly recommend. They have been amazing with our son, who absolutely loves it there. The staff are so personable and extremely considerate to each child. Even when moving into a bigger room he had settling sessions so that the transition was
smooth and he was given time to bond with his new key worker. They also have a portal where regular updates are uploaded daily to show how your child’s getting on, which is a great idea and also very reassuring. It’s a fantastic place for any child to go.

Our son has been at nursery since July, when he was 10.5 months old, and he is thriving! I am so happy with our choice in this nursery - the staff, at all levels, are all wonderful and genuinely warm towards everyone, the rooms are so well looked after and planned out each day, with new activities for
each age grouping, and the outside space is great too - it’s clear to see why my son loves his time at nursery! He has made such lovely friends and I love how they also encourage the children to learn through their own play and exploring, but in a safe environment. I would recommend the nursery to anyone I know, without any hesitation.

We are really happy with our experience at Nursery on the Green (Redbourn). The staff are so warm and friendly towards my daughter and make her feel so welcome and at home. I like that they keep the activities varied for the children and also try and encourage independence and self-care. I feel confident
she is cared for properly and I am really pleased I settled on this nursery having visited a few in the local area. Hugely grateful for all that the staff do.

We genuinely feel so lucky to have found a Nursery as fantastic as Nursery on the Green. Our son loves the nursery so much, and all of the staff feel like they care for him just as much as we do! We originally sent him to another Nursery that we just didn't gel with and it just didn't feel right, so
for us it's made a huge difference to how relaxed we feel leaving him at the nursery each time. Drop off's and pick up's are a lovely experience, with all staff and parents greeting each other with a genuine warmth and care. The staff make so much effort to update the app and give you a rundown of each day which is just so lovely to hear. Our son developmentally is hitting all milestones and we credit the amazing staff at Nursery on the Green. We trust them implicitly and their care and service is outstanding in our eyes. The nursery indoor/outdoor setting is fantastic, activities are very varied and always fun. We could never express our gratitude enough to the staff x

We have been so pleased with Nursery on the Green. The biggest jewel in their crown is the staff, the care and attention they show is unwavering. Day in day out they always welcome you with a such a warm and friendly welcome. Also, the understanding and time they take to make sure they understand our
daughters needs is so reassuring for both her and us. All of this really does make for a happy and nurturing environment which shows as we watch our little girl's confidence grow and grow. Would highly recommend!

We love Nursery on the Green as do our children. Both our children started before they were one and I’ve not worried about them once. Both our children have been looked after by the same key worker who we know well and trust, she is very competent and experienced. The same worker makes so much effort
to update us via the app with lovely updates of videos and photos. I completely trust all the workers at the nursery and they all take time to update us on the children. Although our children only attend two days a week, the staff make us feel like they are there every day, they know them so well. They also make us feel like they are the only children there when they talk to us about the children. The activities are so varied and fun. My daughter has learnt so much in her new group and comes back saying new words and singing new songs each time she attends. We highly recommend the nursery. The outdoor space is fantastic.

From the beginning of our journey, Nursery on the Green has been so flexible and supportive with our son. They allowed us to phase his start which helped immensely after covid. Our son absolutely loves all the staff and the support they give him to grow and develop is excellent. We’re really happy with

My son has been attending Nursery on the Green for nearly 2 years since he was under 1 year old.
Initially like most parents I was worried/nervous/anxious about leaving him but he settled quickly and has been enjoying his time at nursery ever since.
I love the spaces the nursery has for each stage
of development, the garden is especially amazing, lots of space and different activities on offer too. My son loves the garden and likes to run around with his friends (especially playing on the sit on cars!).
Staff are friendly and very caring, they communicate well with any updates. If my son isn’t 100% himself on the morning drop off they are quick to distract him in engaging him in activities and they let me know via the parent app that he is happy and settled.
We have now moved from the area so he will be starting a new pre school in September, it will be very sad when he attends his last day here.
I 100% recommend this nursery.

We have been very pleased with the nursery for our daughter who is nearly two, in Ladybirds. They have been proactive, responsive and supportive in helping our daughter catch up on her first words. It is a friendly environment and our daughter happily goes in each morning.

Our son has been going to Nursery on the Green since he was 11 months old and loves it there. As a parent, seeing the care the staff give to our son, gives me so much peace of mind. We particularly like the fact that all the staff members seem to get to know each child, by name, even those who are not
in their room. The care and attention given to our son by his key worker shows how hard the team here work. We couldn’t be happier with our nursery choice.

Our family loves Nursery on the Green, the staff are caring and thoughtful. My children‘s skills have developed exponentially since starting nursery and I am so thankful for all the help and opportunities the staff has given them to gain these.
The food and facilities are wonderful, we are so lucky

We are so happy with the care our daughter receives at Nursery on the Green, she has been attending for a year now and the progress she has made there has been amazing. The staff are all so friendly and genuinely care for all the children there. They are really welcoming and all of them always have

Our son has been attending Nursery on the Green Redbourn since he was 7 months old. Now, at 14 months old, we've seen tremendous growth and development, and we credit a lot of that to the nursery. The staff at Nursery on the Green Redbourn, have created an environment where our son can interact with
other children, participate in activities like painting, and enjoy nutritious and delicious lunches. We're especially grateful for the emphasis on independence that the nursery has fostered in our son, which has helped him grow and thrive. Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005

Carli is Manager of Nursery on the Green in Redbourn and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 27 years. Carli is married with two boys and spends her weekends pitchside watching them play football.


Carli has spent the past 16 years in a managerial position at Childbase and looks forward to implementing her knowledge and skills at the newly-opened Nursery on the Green, as well as building strong partnerships with parents and the local community.
