Nursery on the Green (Redbourn)

We cannot speak more highly of Nursery on the Green. Our son has been at the nursery since Dec 2024 - joining in the caterpillars room. The staff in caterpillars - especially Becca & Shannon put a huge amount of effort into both supporting my son settle to nursery life. He struggled to settle & they put so much care into him. When it was his turn to move rooms they made this so gentle and supportive for our son so he went to the next room with so much care - something we have heard doesn't always happen in other nurseries. Now in the Ladybird room the last year he has come on leaps and bounds developmentally. To shout out Gracie in the Ladybird room is a must. Children are so happy to see her every morning, her unbelievable amount of care, focus and consideration of helping my son achieve his goals has been second to none. Amy & Emily alongside Gracie are also incredible + Carli the Manager is the most organised, approachable, knowledgeable lady - 5 stars for this amazing team.

My son has been attending Nursery on the Green since September 2025, and we could not be happier. From the off, Michelle and the management team were extremely accommodating, even when we had to push back his start date. There was no issue when trying to re-organise his settling in sessions which instantly made us feel comfortable. The staff are all welcoming and nurturing, and we are always greeted with smiles each morning. There were some tears at drop off initially, but with the support of his care workers in the Ladybirds room and comfort they offered my son, he is now extremely comfortable in the setting. I feel he is growing each day when he attends the nursery, and I love seeing the activities that he gets up to on the app, which gives great comfort to see that he is genuinely happy. The homely setting and kind and genuine staff make for a fantastic space. Huge thanks to Amy, Gracie and Emily for always being so kind and a great team! Would highly reccommend!

Nurturing and welcoming environment. Our son is exceptionally happy at Nursery on the Green. Our son has attended a couple of local spots but this nursery feels head and shoulders above the rest. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I just wanted to share my experience with Nursery on the Green (NOG) as we've completed a year here with my daughter. As a first-time parent, leaving your little one is daunting, but NOG has been amazingly supportive.

The keyworkers in Caterpillars really got to know us and helped settle my daughter in, while guiding me to establish a consistent routine at home too. They even supported her weaning journey, teaching her self-weaning and independence, it's been brilliant!

We travel from Dunstable 4 times a week and I don't regret my choice at all. The vibe at NOG is what sold me, it's like nowhere else. Highly recommend

Our son had a wonderful experience at NOTG. He attended from 12months old to 2years 8months. Unfortunately, we have now relocated.

During his time at NOTG we never experienced any issues at all. All of the staff were excellent - each morning and evening there was a warm welcome at reception and it was always a pleasure to drop him off with his pals and pick him up at night and hear about his day.

Moments (photos) we received during the day were lovely, he was well fed and the environment was safe and secure. In such a caring and supportive space, we felt our son was able to flourish and gain confidence interacting with peers.

For others considering nurseries in the area, we really can't recommend it highly enough. It was slightly further away from our house than some other options, but it was worth the extra drive. Thanks again to everyone who at NOTG!

My son has been here over a year and is thriving. He's formed great relationships with all staff and is learning so much. They're also great at catering to his allergies and any additional requests/requirements to meet both the child's best interest and parent's wishes.

My son has been at this nursery since earlier this year and he has really settled in so well. The staff are warm, caring, and welcoming, which made the transition much easier. He eats really well there and they offer a great variety of meals. There are always lots of different activities to keep him engaged, and he especially loves the garden with its mud kitchen and slide.

The team also work closely with the children on their development milestones, and we really value the regular updates and photos we receive - it's lovely to see him happy and enjoying what he's been up to. We're so pleased with the care and support he gets here. It's wonderful to see him so happy and thriving in such a nurturing environment.

My son has been attending the nursery 5 days a week since we moved to Redbourn in January 2025 and he absolutely loves it. It's the first nursery we've been to where I can walk him into the setting in the morning and it's really lovely to see what's being set up for the day- a hive of activity but warm, inviting and relaxing. All of the staff are clearly passionate about what they do and you can see that it's really well organised with each member of staff clear on what's going to happen that day and assigned to particular responsibilities. My son absolutely loves the outdoor area which is huge and he can move freely between indoors and outdoors throughout the day. Food menus is great- I can see what he's had on the menu board each day and on collection the staff always give a thorough run-down of what my son has been up to that day. The nursery has a real family vibe to it and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our daughter has loved her time at Nursery on the Green, and we've had such a positive experience there as parents. The team have been so accommodating with us - from registration and booking settles, to flexibility on the number of settles and when she started. The atmosphere in the pre-school is just what I wished for - happy children busily occupied with a variety of enriching activities and kind, friendly staff caring for them. The garden space is amazing with loads to do too. I really recommend this setting and am so grateful to the team for the care they gave and all the fun they have had with our girl.

Since joining, it's been clear that everyone makes an effort to engage with him, which has made his time there truly special. We are so grateful for the positive, nurturing environment and the support he has received. Saying goodbye will not be easy, but we are thankful for the happy memories and the brilliant start to his early years.

We highly recommend this nursery to every parent.

My little boy has attended Nursery on the Green 3 days a week for nearly a year and absolutely loves it. From our settling in sessions to today all of the staff we come in contact with are brilliant. Since he has started and was only just walking and saying a few little words to now running around and forming full sentences they have adapted and helped us so much. All of the staff are invested in his progression and the key workers he has had have gone above and beyond any expectation we had. The environment is fun and engaging and the updates through the day via the app puts a smile on your face with all the fun activities hey get up to. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone!!

The whole team is amazing-friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The environment is nurturing, fun and keep the children engaged and learning. We're so grateful for the positive impact the nursery has had on him, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other parents.

All the staff are really friendly and if I call to check up they are always very helpful. My daughter's key worker her Key Worker is a star and updates me regularly through the app and completely understands the transition it has been for me as well as my daughter.

I have been so happy with the Nursery and my daughter loves going and has developed so much in a short period of time! Her speech is rapidly improving and she's talking about the friends she has made. We talk about Nursery on days off and my daughter is animated when remembering her time there.

I would definitely recommend Nursery on the Green to any parents.

Two big pluses: i) they respond to e-mails and phone calls very quickly, and ii) the beautiful surroundings.

My daughter looks forward to going to the Nursery on the Green and loves all the staff there. They clearly treat her well, know her personality and needs which are met perfectly. They provide a variety of activities each day. They have been very flexible and supportive with amending leave dates for our daughter with uncertainty around a move. I leave my daughter feeling completely confident she will be safe and well looked after every session. Would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

My daughter absolutely loves coming here, she has a very close link with the ladies who look after her. She has been able to pick up a lot of life skills and been able to create friendship bonds. There is a lot of enrichment for the kids to do with a revolving schedule of topics they teach week to week. The in-house cooking of all meals I believe has helped my daughter enjoy all different tastes of food.
