Acorn Day Nursery (Cold Harbour)

My daughter has been attending the nursery since April 2023 and has learnt so much. She used to be very timid and shy, but is now very confident and bubbly. The staff are all amazing. I'm so glad I chose this nursery. The nursery takes care of all her dietary requirements and she's actually learnt how to use cutlery by herself now from nursery. She's become very independent since attending the nursery.

Brilliant nursery, our baby is thriving there and you can see how happy he is when he comes home. They are very good with activities, feeding and work with us to develop a nap routine. For the 4 days a week he is there we can see how well he is developing. The app is a great way of being updated throughout the day and everything is logged on there from naps, nappy changes and feeding. Our daughter went there for 3 years and now our son has been there for a month and will see out his nursery days there too.

So pleased with this nursery. I feel that a very clear sign is that my daughter thoroughly enjoys nursery goes in very happy and comes out at the end of the day tired and dirty from all the activities and fun that have been had. You can tell she has a very strong relationship with her key worker and I feel very safe leaving her in her care. Having worked in a number of nurseries personally over the years, I can tell that this nursery provides exceptional care to children.

I must say, this nursery is outstanding. It's so wonderful that I have decided to bring my son here after my daughter attended four years ago. My daughter gained a lot of confidence, built great friendships, and loved her key worker and the chef. I'm happy to see that the same high standard is being maintained, and I would definitely recommend this nursery. In fact, I would even travel to bring my children here if I moved away.

The team at Acorn Day Nursery (Cold Harbour) made the transition to the nursery easy, they treated our son as an individual and were happy to accommodate his own routine and needs. The team is extremely caring and has even checked in with us on days he is not in. Even when drop-off is tricky, we feel reassured knowing our son is in a safe and caring environment. The app is used regularly, with frequent communications and photos. The nursery is set up every day with fun, relevant and appropriate activities. The staff are always happy and smiling.

The nursery has been amazing. I'm very fussy with who I leave my son with, however, I've always felt reassured he is in good care at the nursery. His confidence, speech, eating and sleep have improved so much since going there. I can tell everyone (especially his key worker) is really invested in how my son grows and he's built good relationships with everyone. Thanks for everything you do!

Amazing! My daughter has started attending the nursery as a super clingy child and the staff has been amazing with all her needs! Fabulous food, plenty of activities to keep kids busy, regular updates and the team is always really responsive to all the enquiries we might have.

Such a brilliant nursery! Every time my son comes home, he lists off what he’s been up to and what he had for food (which is always something different!). The staff are so friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure my little boy is happy and well looked after.

Excellent feedback and fantastic information. My son gets all the attention he needs and has fallen in love with his key person. The facility is clean and friendly and the alerts and constant feedback are very reassuring as a first-time father.

My son has been at Acorn Cold Harbour since he was 1. He is now nearly 4 and will be so sad to leave when he goes off to school! The staff throughout each room have been excellent and he loves his time at nursery. Cannot thank them enough for everything they do. Including exciting days out, family interactions and fun day to day activities. They also provide a great range of food each day. Highly recommend nursery!

I would highly recommend Acorn Cold Harbour. Both of my children have attended the setting and I can't speak highly enough of it. The staff genuinely care about the children and develop a wonderful connection with them. The ethos of the nursery is very positive, has a good balance between child and adult led time and I love that they have unlimited access to the massive outdoor area, including a hut and forest area. The focus on wooden and open-ended learning is better for the children and the environment. They have the best chef inside who creates amazing meals for the children and is inclusive of children with special dietary requirements, making sure my two allergy children were able to eat what their friends were just adapted for their needs. You will always be greeted with a smile and warm welcome anytime you drop or collect your child and have regular feedback about how they are getting on. Thank you!

My little boy absolutely loves going to this nursery, he's been going every weekday now for about 1.5yrs and although a little nervous those first few weeks the team made him feel really welcome and it wasn't long before he was running in every morning and continues to do so(bar the odd off day), he absolutely loves all the staff here as do both of us. He moved up to the squirrels in April this year and again the transition was made very comfortable for him and settled in extremely well! The team are fantastic, our son talks about them with a smile on his face, and tells us all the exciting things he got up to each day. Could not recommend Acorns enough they are fantastic!

My grandson enjoys the outdoors and this is an ideal nursery setting for him. Staff are so friendly and take the time to talk to you and feedback. Love reading the updates and seeing what the children do.....the outside yoga is so nice. Thank you to all the staff.

My little boy loves going to nursery! They make him so welcome and he loves spending time outside in the woodland area. The staff are amazing and very friendly and caring towards all of the children. Always on hand to answer any questions or queries I may have.

My daughter absolutely loves it at nursery. Her vocabulary is improving, her confidence is growing and she is exploring lots of new things. She absolutely loves being outside, which they always offer her, no matter the weather and she eats very well there. Her key worker is amazing and she coped very well with my daughter being quite clingy and she is becoming less so. My only criticism, if anything, is I'd like more photos, as I'm so intrigued to know what she's up to and we see so many photos of other nurseries doing trips out and I don't think my daughter has ever done one, but that's just being ultra picky.

We love everything about this wonderful nursery. My son absolutely loves all of the staff and he really enjoys his days at nursery, I too feel very confident in the care they give my son. The staff are so engaging with the children and really take the time to learn the needs of each child. The daily feedback we receive is brilliant, it's always a jam-packed, fun-filled day. Best nursery, highly recommended.

I am a very anxious mother but I feel totally at ease taking my child to nursery each day knowing she is in well-looked-after hands. The staff are brilliant and understanding - catering to my needs as an anxious parent and reassuring me when I have concerns. The facilities are awesome, and the outdoor space for the children is amazing. My little one loves going to nursery every day. She is usually clingy, but as soon as she sees those nursery gates she pelts full speed towards the door ready to go inside. If that isn't a testament to how good this nursery is then what is? My child comes home every day with a huge smile on her face (often covered in paint too) because she has had so much fun playing and creating and making a mess.

My daughter has been attending Cold Harbour for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier with her progress. She comes home and tells me new things she's learnt almost every day. She loves all the practitioners within the nursery and has made so many friends.
