The Pump House Day Nursery

Hello, my name is Lyn Barallon-Hibbert, and I am the Manager at our wonderful Pump House Day Nursery and Preschool.

I am a dedicated and experienced childcare professional with over 20 years of experience in the Early Years sector. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of nursery settings, which has given me a broad and in-depth understanding of child development, learning styles, and best practices in early years education.

I am passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children feel confident, valued, and inspired to learn. Supporting children as they grow socially, emotionally, and educationally is something I find incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in helping every child reach their full potential during these important early years.

Over the years, I have worked with children from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying individual needs. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child deserves the very best start in life. I am committed to ensuring that our environments and curriculum are inclusive, enabling, and tailored to support every child in our care.

My experience across different nursery settings has given me valuable insight into a variety of approaches and practices, allowing me to continuously reflect, adapt, and improve. I am committed to ongoing professional development and strive to keep up to date with changes and best practices within the sector.

I am currently working towards my Level 7 qualification, which is further strengthening my leadership and management skills, as well as deepening my knowledge of early years education. I am excited to continue developing both personally and professionally, while making a positive difference to the children, families, and staff I work with every day.

I strongly believe that effective leadership is built on clear communication, collaboration, and empowering others, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where both children and practitioners can thrive.
