I have been with Hopscotch Day Nursery since it opened and cannot say a bad word towards it. All staff members are so welcoming and helpful at all stages of my children's development. The support given whether it's teething, potty training or speech, is exceptional, there is always someone that is able
to help and guide us in the right direction. The facilities are great, especially having the area of soft play. My kids love coming into nursery, and I would 100% recommend

I can’t praise Hopscotch Fareham highly enough for how they have supported my daughter to grow and develop. Our daughter has SEN, which we didn’t know at the time of choosing a nursery so this didn’t really factor into our choice of nursery, however, they have gone above and beyond in this area. They’ve
supported various therapies to visit within the nursery setting, continuously kept us updated with her progress and targets, supported her in areas of need but challenged her to excel in all areas she is able to. I’ve never been in doubt our daughter is safe and looked after at Hopscotch and this really is so important as a working family, to feel like the nursery is a home from home for our daughter and she has strong bonds with all the staff. The opportunities at Hopscotch for her to grow and develop are so varied and the biggest bonus of having a whole room dedicated to soft play, which during lockdowns this was invaluable for the children to still have access to!

The nursery staff are so friendly, and my son loves his sessions. He has already developed so much in the short space of time he has been attending. The management is helpful, and no question is too silly. I would definitely recommend it.

We've been really pleased with the standard of care provided for our 21-month-old daughter since she started just over a year ago.
She had a number of nutritional needs that were taken into account brilliantly (to the extent that sometimes we asked them for tips on what they were feeding her!)
Her
previous key worker was fab and the transition to her new key worker has been more or less seamless.
We always feel like we are being taken seriously and that our requests are being honoured. Responses to emails are swift and comprehensive.

My son attends preschool. He started when 14-months-old in Toddler, and I can’t fault anything. His development has come on in leaps and bounds, he looks forward to routine and structure and thrives with activities provided in preschool. He has become more adventurous with foods and trying things he
wouldn’t touch at home. I viewed several nurseries and although Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham isn’t local to my home, I wouldn’t have him anywhere else.

We have loved our time at Hopscotch Fareham, first with my daughter (preschool room) and now with my son (baby room). The staff are all wonderful and really work hard to make sure that the children feel loved and happy during their time at the nursery, as well as focusing on their social and cognitive

Hopscotch has been amazing with both of my daughters! One who has ASD! They are such a supportive nursery! And I genuinely couldn’t ask for more from a nursery; they have so many activities they do with the children, anything you are struggling with or need advice with you can talk to the staff, I have

Hopscotch Fareham has by far been the best nursery I have had my girls attend. My youngest has been there for 12-months, and she is so happy and content, literally runs threw the door without a backward glance. They are great at enriching the learning of the children whether by painting or outdoor activities
or even by having animals visit, so far, we have had chicks, tadpoles, and guinea pigs. My eldest attended preschool before starting mainstream education, and Hopscotch gave her the best start to succeed at school. I can not recommend this nursery enough.

We originally viewed Hopscotch when I was pregnant, and it felt “right” from the off. We hadn’t met our baby yet, but we knew we wanted him to go there, and we were so right. I had to return from maternity early, and Hopscotch went above and beyond to take our little boy on at only 4-months-old, and
we still feel they care that way nearly -years later! The staff there are fantastic, and the genuine love and care ooze from the pores of all of them. Our little boy is happiest when he knows he is going to nursery, and we are safe in the knowledge he has the best time and the best care-Thank you, Hopscotch team!

My two little ones attend this nursery and they really enjoy it. It’s very well run. The food is made on-site. They have a soft play, and all of the staff are wonderful. Being open from 7:30-18:30 is perfect for my working needs, and I love that I can use the app to check on the care diary and see updates
of what they’ve been up to.

I cannot express how much my son loves attending this nursery. He has been here since he was 8 months old, (when the nursery was in its early stages), is now in the preschool, and has flourished in their care. Kind, attentive staff, supportive management, good facilities, and a variety of learning activities

I remember looking round nurseries before Covid-19 and I came away with such a good feeling about Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham, from its beautiful setting and most importantly the way staff interacted with children. As a nervous parent thinking about going back to work, it's important to feel like
you have made the right decision. Seven months on and I cannot fault Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham, such a wonderful nursery. My son is thriving, the staff are lovely and the facilities they have are fantastic. They are also excellent at communicating and keeping me updated. Would one hundred percent recommend.

As a family, we cannot recommend Hopscotch, Fareham enough. Our little boy started back in August, I was apprehensive about leaving him but the team were so reassuring and supportive to us all. He has thrived in their care since his first day, the care and opportunities that he receives are amazing
and he teaches us new things every day (especially new nursery rhymes).
The staff have a clear love and passion for their jobs and it shines through in every aspect. They know him so well and his face lights up as soon as he is greeted by the team! As a mummy who was nervous at the start, seeing his smile and confidence when going into nursery has reassured me that he is loving every minute of his time here!
We get regular tapestry updates which show us the wide range of activities that he participates in and just how much fun he has at nursery.
We really cannot thank you enough for everything that you do, not only for our little boy but for us as a family too! You are all amazing!

Where do I start with the positive comments I have about this place? Everything has been amazing here since my little girl started one and a half years ago. The staff are very attentive, caring, the manager always deals with queries in a friendly way and I always receive such a fast response. My little
girl is very well looked after, eats well and loves going. I have recently recommended the nursery to other mum's that I know and their children now attend and love it also. I would definitely recommend this nursery and you will not be disappointed. Much higher care than I received at another nursery for my son. The staff get to know the children on such a personal level and nothing is too much for them. I feel that they go above and beyond.

Our eldest daughter transferred from another nursery which closed. We were happy with the previous nursery but were pleasantly surprised to find Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham is even better. We can't fault the setting or the staff. We are vegetarian and there is no trouble in providing our daughter
with tasty and interesting food. Our daughter has a great time and is always happy to go nursery. We always enjoy seeing what she gets up to in the app updates and the range of activities seems to let her do the stuff she enjoys, while supporting her learning. We are very happy our daughter moved to Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham and we've just reserved a place for our youngest daughter to follow her.

Thank you to the manager and everyone at Hopscotch Fareham for caring for our daughter, I absolutely cannot fault you! Our daughter has had the best time with you all, anyone who is considering this setting for their child, do it! Genuine caring staff, great facilities, menus for the kids are brilliant
and to top it all off, the things our daughter has learnt shocks me weekly, she loves to learn because of how fun it's been. We absolutely cannot thank you enough for everything you have done, excited for the school years but we will all miss you!

My son has attended Hopscotch Day Nursery, Fareham for nearly one month now. All of the staff have made us feel welcome from day one. My son will go to the ladies in the baby room with no fuss and this has made my return to work a lot easier knowing he has been left in safe hands and he is happy enough
to stay with them. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Unfortunately, my son suffers badly with reflux and they have dealt with this really well, working with the ways I try to keep his reflux to a minimum at home. They are all so friendly and lovely, including the managers.

Hello, my name is Dani Athersmith, and I am the Nursery Manager at Hopscotch Day Nursery Fareham.


I have been working in early years settings since 2011, starting as an apprentice before qualifying and gaining experience in various environments with children of all age groups. I joined the Hopscotch team in October 2018 at our Botley location, where I began as a practitioner in the toddler room before advancing to senior practitioner. In September 2019, I transferred to our lovely new Fareham setting, taking on the role of Room Leader for U2 and becoming the third in charge. In March 2022, I was promoted to Deputy Manager at Fareham.


At Fareham, our team of practitioners is dedicated to creating a stimulating environment where children feel safe and secure, enabling them to learn and develop the skills they need to thrive as they grow. I am particularly passionate about fostering strong partnerships with parents to build trust, ensuring that children feel comfortable and secure while in our care.


We understand how challenging it can be to send your child to nursery, and we strive to offer the best possible care, creating a home-from-home experience that aligns with each child's individual routine.

Hi, my name is Felicity, and I've been part of the Hopscotch Journey at Fareham since 2020. For five years, I had the privilege of managing our Preschool team while also enhancing my skills with a qualification in Special Educational Needs. I collaborate closely with our Manager, Dani, and we are both dedicated to providing outstanding childcare. Our main aim is to give all our children the best start possible as they prepare to transition to school. We look forward to welcoming you into Hopscotch Fareham :)
