The nursery stands in the beautiful grounds of the original St. Mary's School. The Nursery has with spacious playrooms and fabulous gardens.

Children at the nursery enjoy a wide range of inspirational learning activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including communication, physical development, and expressive art and design.

St Mary's experienced team hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has an enhanced DBS check and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The nursery provides delicious and healthy meals and snacks, providing children with a wonderful nutritionally balanced diet.

My child has attended this nursery since being 9 months old. Since then he has come on amazingly. The staff across the whole nursery have provided fantastic care and he thoroughly enjoys going to nursery. He has made some great bonds with the staff and I have seen some positive changes made by the new
manager recently. The activities we have seen on the app over the last few weeks look brilliant, he always looks like he is having lots of fun! It's a reassuring feeling knowing that your child is so well looked after and that he is happy being there whilst we are at work.

Excellent nursery. The staff are all wonderful, lovely with the children and parents alike. The nursery itself is a beautiful place for the children of all ages. The rooms are clean and well-equipped for that age range. The garden area has been revamped and is a wonderful area for all of the children.
The management does a fantastic job of ensuring parents are kept up to date with events happening at the nursery each term time.
Absolutely fantastic nursery.

Absolutely great nursery! My son has been going since the age of 2 and he is now 4. I am so happy I chose this nursery as from his first day they have been so supportive and caring. The all girls are brilliant and have made a lovely bond with my son. I know he will be upset to be leaving for school
in September. The staff have been so helpful with the transition from nappies to toilet and were so understanding and supportive of the process. I love seeing updates throughout the day on how my son’s day is going with their app. My son has come over leaps and bounds with his communication skills, social skills and learning skills, and I know that has been with the help of the activities the nursery. Overall this is such a lovely place to send your child.

We are a Romanian family, we don't speak English, we took our boy to this nursery when he was 3 years old. He has learnt a lot, he loves everything he does there, he has made friends, he has started speaking English. They have various activities, the staff tell you everything about everything that interests
you, and of course about the child. We are very satisfied.

Timing has been the best thing for me with St Mary's starting at 7.30 am and ending at 6 pm.
The staff are very helpful and I have noticed a big difference in her communication and also helped her be independent in feeding.
Would really love to see pictures during meals but I don't have any issues
with it as she eats quite healthily and the menu has healthy food choices.

My daughter loves attending St Mary’s and we have seen her grow and develop so much over the years. All the staff are friendly and very caring towards the children. My daughter has gained so much mentally and socially from attending and she is always excited to go each morning. She has a dietary requirement
and the staff were already fully trained and aware of how to deal with it which gave us great confidence in their ability to deal with it.

I am very pleased with the care provided, and I notice a great improvement in my child's development overall. Everyone is extremely kind and caring, and I leave every day assured he is being taken care of. I would like to see more nutrition awareness overall - that is the only thing I can pinpoint -although
there is a good variety of food, I noticed a very early introduction to both sugar and processed foods (like prawn crackers/flavoured yoghurts).

My child has been at St Mary's for a number of years and has been supported and cared for at every stage. He has a medical condition, which the staff have learned about and supported us as a family. The staff know each child, their characters and quirks and develops activities and curriculum to suit
them all. The children form strong attachments with the staff, which helps them feel secure and loved. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

Excellent - my child always comes out with a big smile on his face, talking about all the fun things he's been doing. His counting and writing (letter recognition) have come on no end. Would definitely recommend it.
He is always slightly upset leaving me, but the staff always bring him around and
makes his day happy!

All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. More importantly, the way they trail, look after and develop my child is exceptional. Her development is really impressive, which I put down to the staff of this nursery. Not only that, they are really flexible with my shift pattern and look to accommodate

Our experience with the nursery has been mainly positive. Summer is an issue as my child has hay fever, and going out last summer was an issue. My child has moved up classes - this hasn't been an issue as of yet. I'm very happy with my child's development and social skills as a result of nursery.

Hi, my name is Elaine, and I am the manager of St Marys Day Nursery.


I began my childcare career upon leaving school and can honestly say that I love it as much today as when I first started.


Starting as a private nanny before managing my own childcare business, I have worked in various roles across the sector before entering the world of day nurseries.


Since doing so, I have been a practitioner, room leader and deputy as I worked my way to achieving my dream job as a nursery manager.


I am a mum of 2 wonderful children, and I understand the importance of supporting children within our setting to become confident, independent individuals ensuring that they face the future with the knowledge and courage to achieve and grow in a world where they can become anything.
