I cannot rate Fennies Woking highly enough, and I'm a picky parent. My sons have been to three nursey settings now, and Fennies is by far the best. The thought that goes into planning the activities and the fun the kids have is great to see. Their facilities are wonderful, but also constantly being updated, as does their curriculum. Fennies seem to be at the forefront of preschool education, always introducing the latest initiatives and learning methods. It also has very lovely and knowledgeable staff and is a well-run place. Well done, Fennies!
Our son started at Fennies aged 11 months and has been there for over a year now. We could not wish for a better place for him. The building itself is beautiful, the rooms are very bright and spacious and there is ample outdoor space for the children to run around, with direct access from each room. The staff and teachers do an amazing job and our son absolutely loves it there. His teachers are very dedicated and although teachings are in a group, they still manage to address each child’s needs. I would highly recommend Fennies to anyone looking for high-quality childcare.
Our daughter started in the toddler room at Fennies Woking last year, and loves her days at nursery. We have found the staff professional, friendly, and caring. The space is fantastic, particularly the garden, and our daughter thoroughly enjoys running around exploring and creating and constructing and gardening all day long. Indoor activities and spaces are well thought out, and very creative. We have been very happy with our daughter's time at Fennies to date.
Dear Karen,
Thank you for your kind review. It is lovely to hear that your little one loves nursery so much!
I have recommended this nursery to many already! My son has thrived here. He has previously been at a childminder. The childminder was amazing but felt he needed more interaction with children his own age. Luckily for us, Fennies had just opened at this time! With indoor/outdoor play all year round it was perfect for our very active boy. The staff are strong enough to deal with any boisterous behaviour from the boys and feed back which is exactly what I would want. He is not allowed to get away with murder just by using his cheeky smile, and the staff deal with issues appropriately and fairly, and he has LOVED his time there and made some amazing friends. I will be sad when he leaves there in Sept to go to big school. My only criticism is the price which is expensive even with 30 hours free the 40 hours a week he goes works out a small fortune, but we are happy to pay it as he is very happy, but I look forward to not paying any more next year!! :-)
Dear Sally
Thank you for your review of our nursery in Woking, it is so lovely to hear that you have been recommending us. We love having your little one and his bright personality, he has been doing very well ahead of his move to school.
Large clean rooms and the outdoor garden area is very well maintained as well.
Great food and snacks provided at all times.
I love the fact that Everyone has a smile on their face at all times!
Highly recommended!
Dear Rashi,
Thank you for your lovely review of our nursery in Woking. We are so glad that the girls are doing so well.
The staff were excellent in helping my child settling into the setting. He was previously with a childminder and VERY unhappy and wouldn’t settle. At Fennies, he immediately settled and loved it from day one. He has attended since the age of 1 and is now in the preschool room.
The outside learning opportunities are fantastic. The staff are always thinking up creative, engaging and wonderful learning opportunities such as hammering into pumpkins at Halloween.
He comes home messy, happy and thriving full of chat the activities he has undertaken.
The tapestry notifications also give us a wonderful insight into his day.
Thank you to all the staff at Fennies. We are delighted that you take such good care of our son.
Dear Liz,
Thank you so much for your recommendations and your kind review. It has been wonderful to welcome you and so many of your lovely friends to our nursery. It has been a joy seeing your little one grow and we are proud of how much he has developed since he joined us. The team will be so pleased to hear your feedback, especially with regards to our messy play!
The meals are clearly delicious as my son regularly tucks into 3 helpings of each meal!
I always recommend this nursery!
Dear Paula
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad that you decided to settle with us, we love that you and your boys are part of our growing Fennies family. So glad that you have been recommending us too!
We saw a noticeable acceleration in our boy's development when he moved from a childminder to this environment. Carers were really helpful in encouraging us to start toilet training and then supporting us through that milestone - they did most of the hard work!
Activities run by the excellent care team are varied and well designed to test and develop new skills. They use Tapestry to share photos, commentary and development scoring which reassures us that it's the best environment for our boy.
2 things to be aware of:
1. Billing doesn’t always feel fair – the usual rate is applied for bank holidays and ‘downtime’ even when the nursery is not open; this was pretty jarring over the 2018 Xmas week when the nursery was closed.
2. You need to give 2 months’ notice to reduce your hours.
Excellent new nursery with great indoor and outdoor facilities and very well equipped. Staff are very good at reporting via the online platform, Tapestry, with pictures and descriptions of my two year old’s daily activities. Staff seem to place great emphasis on the development of skills and organise lots of fun activities which my little girl adores. Great care appears to have been taken to develop a healthy menu and my little girl eats very well at nursery - often trying foods at nursery that she’d normally refuse at home.
Dear Victoria
Thank you for your lovely review of our day nursery in Woking. We are so glad that you have been using Tapestry to follow your little ones nursery journey. We take pride in our yummy menus so glad that she is enjoying them too!
Fennies has a lovely outdoor space for the children, who all get outdoor time each day. The menu is also delicious! The nursery uses a site called Tapestry and they take regular photos of your child during the day and upload it to this site so that you can see what they've been up to, which is a lovely resource to have. We have recommended Fennies to 2 other friends who have since joined and are as equally happy with it as us.
Dear Louise
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased that you and your little one are enjoying your experience at Fennies. We are very proud of our team, and our lovely garden area!
