We've had the most wonderful experience with Country Day Nursery over the past five years, with both of our children attending. Our eldest has now moved on to school, and our youngest is still there, and we truly couldn't have chosen a better place for them to begin their early years.
From the very
start, the care and attention they have shown to our children has been exceptional.
The communication has consistently been outstanding. We have always felt informed, listened to, and supported. From daily updates to celebrating milestones and progress, the team goes above and beyond to make sure parents feel involved and reassured every step of the way. Most importantly, we have complete trust in them. Leaving your child in someone else's care is never easy, but Country Day has made it feel effortless. Knowing our children are safe, happy, and genuinely cared for gives us total peace of mind. We're so grateful for everything they have done and continue to do for our family.

I now have had two children attend Country Day, one still attending. My first child had such a wonderful experience it was a no brainer to enrol my second.
My eldest thrived under their care and my youngest, even though has only been going for 5 months and is already progressing on so many levels.
The
staff are just wonderful and I had no mum guilt returning to work as I fully trust the staff to give them the care and kindness they need from a care provider.

I have three children who have all been at the nursery from 9 months old and all three have had such a wonderful experience! My youngest is aged three and attends without any hesitation or upset. The staff have always been so welcoming and supportive, and I will be sad when our time with the nursery
comes to an end. I'm so thankful to the Country Day team as knowing my children love (and have loved) where they're going every day, was really such a joy and weight off my mind!
The rural setting of the nursery is beautiful, with lots of birds, cows and horses for the children to spot in the local area.
My two older children (now 8 and 6) started at a local school with excellent phonics knowledge and a lovely group of friends from the nursery which gave them a great soft landing into primary school.
I would highly recommend the nursery to local parents.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was one, she loves going there. She seems happy, settled, and chats about her day and friends. There is always good communication and sharing of their days and activities. They have lots of exploring fun outside as well. A great preschool setting !

Our son has thrived at this nursery thanks to their attentive and caring staff. The communication is excellent - they provide consistent updates through the app about meals, naps, and nappy changes, along with weekly photo updates that give us a wonderful glimpse into his activities.

What truly sets

this nursery apart is their fantastic woodland outdoor area where children can explore and play in nature. They've also handled our son's transitions between rooms seamlessly, ensuring he feels secure and comfortable with each change. We have complete peace of mind knowing he's in such capable and nurturing hands.

My second child is now at Country Day Nurseries, both children attending from 1 year up to when they moved/ will move to Year R. We have been so pleased with the nursery for the last 5 years, the staff are all caring and wonderful. The rooms have all had amazing toys and activities that gives them so
much to experience and do. We love to see the daily photos of all the exciting activities they have done. The nursery is well managed and a lovely facility in an excellent location. The children preferred the food when the nursery had an in house chef but the current supplier does provide a very varied diet of meals they would never get to try at home. I recommend Country Day to everyone looking for a nursery, it really is a special place for children to flourish.

Our little girl joined when she was 9 months old and has thrived ever since. She has always had an excellent relationship with all members of staff and likewise, us as parents have always had great relationships with the staff and management. The outdoor space is excellent for all ages, the staff go
above and beyond to care for the children, management and staff put of a variety of events to involve parents including stay and plays, and breakfasts for Mothers and Father's Day. The app used to keep in touch with parents throughout the day is great, it's lovely seeing photos of our daughter enjoying herself with her friends, as well as knowing what she has eaten, and how long she has napped for and when. Overall a fantastic nursery (and that's coming from a mum who has previously worked in other nursery / pre school settings!)

Country Day is an outstanding nursery. We were new to the area and looked around a lot of nurseries in the Andover area, we hadn't found one we were completely happy with but then we heard about Country Day and when we arrived I knew it was the one for us. The outside space is the best we found, our
son is very outdoorsy and loves adventures! There is a woodland area, mud kitchen, pirate ship and even an outdoor space for riding bikes and tractors as my son calls them. He started in Bluebells and moved up to little acorns about 6 months later. The staff throughout the nursery are amazing, so caring and we know our son is in the best hands. The thought and creativity that goes into activities planned for the children really highlights how in tune they are with the children.
Our son comes home beaming with a smile while telling us all about his day and he always says it was 'fun'. I feel very lucky to have found Country Day! I highly recommend Country Day!

Country Day Nursery has been amazing for our daughter. At first she struggled with the transition from home to nursery, but the amazing staff helped her to quickly settle. As she has continued her journey through the nursery she has flourished and loves going. The staff are wonderful and plan fun and
interesting activities to promote their development. The outdoor provision is excellent and something our daughter absolutely loves. We cannot recommend enough!

My daughter has been at Country Day Nurseries for 6 months now and absolutely loves it, she has a really lovely relationship with all the staff in her room (especially her key person) and all her peers. Her confidence has come on so much since starting nursery and I have noticed such a difference in
her speech particularly. They do such a wide range of activities with the children which my daughter absolutely loves and I feel that the staff are excellent at keeping you updated on everything they do whilst at nursery. I have now arranged for my daughter to attend an extra day per week as she loves it so much.

We visited a few other local childcare providers and Country Day was a clear winner and we were delighted they had space for our daughter. The manager showed us around and was approachable, and ironed out all the concerns I had as a first time parent. The nursery has great facilities including lots
of outside space! Our daughter has been attending since she was 9 months old and she has enjoyed every room and the wide variety of activities throughout the day. The staff are always on hand to answer any concerns, or general queries and all friendly and approachable. My daughter gets excited as soon as we pull into the car park as she can't wait to see not only her friends but all the wonderful staff, and she leaves beaming which to me was all the sign I needed to know she is happy!
The app is very useful with general updates such as nappy changes, food they are eaten throughout the day and nap times, messaging through the app is seamless and a great tool for parents. Highly recommend!

We spent ages looking at nurseries around Andover and absolutely loved the outside space at Country Day Nursery. It's clean inside and out and the staff really do some amazing stuff with the children. Our little girl was a bit needy at times when first starting and also the transition into Little Acorns
but the staff have been so supportive and within days our little girl is now super excited every morning she goes in.

A few of my friends have children in other nurseries and it's clear this place is a winner particularly with the app they use to update parents in real time about sleep times, nappy changes and explanations of what food they've had throughout the day. If we've ever had any issues they have been addressed quickly and efficiently either by phone call or the App.

Highly recommended!

We moved into the area April 2023 and I feel so fortunate that Country Day were able to accommodate us immediately. My eldest started school in September but still talks frequently and fondly of her time at the nursery. My middle child currently attends and the room staff are always so warm and friendly.
My youngest is due to start in September and the manager/management team have been so accommodating in helping us to organise that.
The nursery provide varied and nutritional meals. The children are offered a range of activities both inside and outside and great care is taken over their personal and educational development. The older children have access to external providers enabling them to experience things such as sports, French and phonics which helps smooth the step into formal education.
My children have been very happy here and we have been delighted with the care they have received and the service provided to us as parents.

My three children have attended Country Day Nursery, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The nursery communicates with us daily, providing thoughtful updates on the children's exciting activities and progress. Our children truly thrive in the nurturing environment, thanks to the loving care
and dedication of the entire nursery staff. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about each child's happiness, well-being, and development.

The nursery grounds are beautifully maintained, and it's wonderful to see that new additions and improvements are continuously being made. The catering at the nursery is also fantastic-the children enjoy a varied diet that includes foods from around the world, encouraging them to try new spices and flavors and develop healthy eating habits from a young age.

We've been very impressed with the standard of care given at Country Days, our son has been there since he was a year old. We've been very impressed with each of the rooms and the age appropriate support and variety of activities available. They also give lots of opportunities for stay and play/special
event days for parents and extended families to attend. The management/room staff have been supportive when we've had queries to raise, offered advice and creative ideas to first time parents allowing a more streamlined approach to childcare. We also love the woodland setting! I'd have no hesitation in recommending.

Our daughter started at the nursery in 2020 and has flourished due to the care and support she has received. She has loved exploring the various outside areas, in particular the pirate ship, and getting to grips with nature. She has also loved the French lessons in big acorns. The staff are great with
the children looking for new ways to enhance the children's learning each week. Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Country Day Nursery and will be heading to school in September, and I'm sure she will have many happy memoriesof her time at nursery. Thank you, everyone, at Country Day for making her learning experience so special. We would definitely recommend Country Day Nursery to friends and family in future.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.955)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.955) out of 10 for Country Day Nurseries is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.955 for Country Day Nurseries is calculated as follows: ( (252 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 264 Ratings = 4.955
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Country Day Nurseries is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 91 number of registered child places is 18.2, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
