My son started at Country Day Nurseries at the start of January, and has settled in really quickly. The Bluebells room manager and his key worker are so lovely, and I feel totally confident leaving my child with them. My son has bad separation anxiety, so I was amazed how fast he got used to being there,
and there is no shortage of cuddles for him. I’m really impressed by the variety of food on the menu too. All in all, very happy.

Although our daughter has only been at Country Day Nurseries since January she has settled in really well and that is a credit to the nursery workers in her group. We have noticed fantastic developments in our daughter's speech, emotions and communication since she has been attending Country Day Nurseries.

A great little nursery with a clear care for the children. After settling in, my little one enjoys being dropped off, especially when she sees her breakfast being served! Great staff, great grounds and great service.

We visited many nurseries for our daughter and felt Country Day Nurseries stood out. The open outdoor areas, amongst the trees, nature, the astroturf and undercover areas for all weathers. The staff are warm, understanding and approachable. They have a real bond with our daughter and she loves attending
nursery. They have themes for activities and we receive a weekly newsletter with loads of information. The Tapestry journal is updated regularly with observations and pictures linking them to my daughter's development. We also have a drawer where her artistic pieces of work are kept for us to collect.
The building is always warm and safe, my daughter enjoys the routine of opening the gates, walking over the wooden stepping plaques and pressing the buzzer.
The food is also fantastic and smells very yummy. She has a variety of foods offered to her with three meals and two snacks a day. She also gets free wipes and nappies!
I would highly recommend Country Day Nurseries to other parents/carers.

My first child has been going there for 3.5 years. She absolutely loves it and loves all the staff. She loves learning French and doing PE sessions. My 9-month-old has been going there for 2 months and he is very happy too. Amazing food and activities for all the children. Great value for money.

One of my daughters currently attends and my other daughter did before starting school in September. We love the nursery, the staff are all so friendly and my daughters love it. Having pulled my eldest from another nursery I couldn't have been happier with the decision.

From the moment we drove down the drive I knew this was the nursery for my little one. The outside area is amazing and well utilised which my little one adores. He always comes home happy and chatty about the fun he had throughout the day.
The parents/guardians are well informed through newsletters
and parents evenings.

The leadership and management of the nursery under its current ownership is exceptional. My children are both very happy in this setting, and they have been supported and cared for to a consistently high standard.
The setting itself is beautiful with the outside areas fully exploited with daily activities
outside. A huge recommendation to prospective parents.

Both of our children have attended this setting since they were 8 months and have enjoyed each and every room. The location is amazing for inquisitive minds, the staff caring, friendly and supportive of individual needs and personalities. The food caters for all palettes and fussiness! The activities
are varied; our preschooler currently has weekly French and phonics activities, which she relishes. A huge amount of time is spent outside, being children. I would very much recommend Country Day Nurseries.

My daughter has been at Country Day Nurseries since she was 6 months old and we can happily say that this was one of the best decisions we have made.

The staff are friendly and very conscientious and the owners are approachable and keen for feedback, which is a breath of fresh air from previous

experiences.

We will be sad when she has to leave later this year to go to school, but have already booked our next child in for when she is a little older.

Our little boy has started here for 2.5 days per week, although we hope to up it to 5 days a week in the near future. Our initial view is that this is a great nursery where the children have fun and the staff genuinely care. Regarding the staff, for them it is not about keeping the children occupied
whilst the parents work, but about educating the children in a fun and playful way. Lots of outdoor time and fantastic fresh air, plus homemade food that is adapted for our boy's allergies. Really good feedback on how he is progressing, what food he likes and even his sleep portfolio.

My eldest daughter has been at the nursery for just over three years and the youngest just over one year.
I cannot relay in words the effort, friendliness, and compassion shown by every member of staff as they really care about the children, whilst also taking a genuine interest in the parent's points
of view and concerns. This has been shown in the development of my daughters which constantly astounds me, with my eldest learning skills that will benefit her upcoming change into a school environment.
The learning environment offers variation and enables the children to get outside regularly. The recent change of management has also been positive, in that the drive to improve the setting is a continual process. Nothing appears too much trouble, and the manageress is always visible, supporting her staff, whilst making herself accessible to parents. I would and do happily recommend the Nursery.

My daughter had separation anxiety so me leaving her at the nursery was going to be a struggle. They made it so much easier. They were supportive, caring and helpful to me as well as my daughter.
This nursery works with the parent as well as the child, it has plenty of space for a huge variety of
activities. They love being outdoors and have structured activities as well as free play.
It is a constant learning curve of enjoyment for my daughter. I would recommend them to everyone, this has been amazing for my daughter and myself xx

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 6 months old and will be going to school this year. We have always found the nursery staff to be extremely supportive and our daughter has always been happy, content and confident in this setting. We have enjoyed watching her grow and develop in the
beautiful safe rural setting with skilled and committed staff. We have found the new leadership at the nursery to be excellent and are looking forward to see how the setting develops and grows as our no.2 joins in the autumn. I would, and have, highly recommend this setting to local families. It is a very special and unique place for children to grow, learn, develop and be themselves.

My daughter has been attending Country Day Nurseries for 9 months for two days a week and in that time I have seen her confidence grow and develop and this is down to the care and opportunities she receives at this nursery. The staff are warm and welcoming and it’s nice to see her run into the nursery
happily every time she attends. The nursery offers great opportunities for the children to play outside in the woodland area, pirate ship and they go for walks around the village in all weather which is excellent for her and she loves nothing more than splashing and jumping around in muddy puddles.
The new owners are really making some great improvements and we look forward to seeing the nursery grow.

My son has been attending this nursery for just over a year now and I am so pleased I found them. They go above and beyond in catering for his allergies and religious needs. The staff are caring and he has built strong bonds with several staff. He is always excited to go to nursery, especially on Tuesday
when there is a music day. He settled in very well and loves the outdoor freedom the nursery provides. I will definitely be bringing my next baby here too.

The grounds are absolutely superb and I haven't seen another setting that even comes close. The abundance of wildlife and the beautiful listed building adds a real charm! My children have both been in attendance, full time since 8/9 months old and they thoroughly enjoy their time here. The staff are
all extremely friendly and make a real effort to get to know each child and cater for their needs. The new owners are also lovely and have not been shy of getting their hands dirty. The mud kitchens and the new woodland play area with pirate ship have been great additions! Fantastic nursery, we will be sad to leave when our youngest starts school!

My son started Country Day nurseries over 6 months ago and I have seen the nursery go from strength to strength in that short amount of time. The staff are lovely and always welcoming. The outdoor environment is amazing, spending a lot of the time outside. The pirate ship and watching the horses across
the road in the stables is a firm favourite with my son!!
I would 100% recommend this nursery.

Country Day is a fantastic nursery. Both my children go here 3 days a week and they love it. The staff are fantastic and the quality of the surrounding nature means proper mud kitchens and proper forest school unlike nurseries in a housing estate set up. The food is freshly made and really healthy incorporating
many of their 5 a day. My eldest starts school in September and I can already see how they are getting him ready. He is already more self-sufficient and he hasn't been in the eldest class for a whole term yet! The nursery have also been outstanding with my child's allergies. He never feels like he is being left out because the chef makes an effort to create meals so he doesn't notice he has the same. I constantly recommend this nursery.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.955)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.955) out of 10 for Country Day Nurseries is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.955 for Country Day Nurseries is calculated as follows: ( (252 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 264 Ratings = 4.955
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Country Day Nurseries is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 91 number of registered child places is 18.2, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
