Nursery on the Green, rated Outstanding by Ofsted (October 2018), offers care for children aged from 6 months to 5 years old. With a friendly and dedicated team, each child and their family are provided a welcoming setting where their happiness and safety are the top priority.

To help children settle in, the team offer a 'key person' system, where each child has a dedicated member of staff who will welcome them to the setting and monitor their progress and development throughout their time at the nursery. They also seek to work closely with families so they can get to know each child's interests and requirements through the people who know them best.

To promote learning and development, the team ensure children have daily routines and opportunities for self-help learning and life-skill development as well as structured and non-structured activities to encourage independence as well as imagination.

My grandson has been at the nursery for a little while now and is having a lovely time there. The staff at the nursery have helped him settle in well which has in turn has put our minds at ease when leaving him there. It is also great to have the updates from them on Tapestry to see what he has been
up to. He is always coming home telling us how he has enjoyed the fantastic activities and loves playing in the garden. The care that the staff show and the relationship between them and the children is outstanding and I would highly recommend this nursery.

My nephew recently started attending the nursery and he loves it! We can’t speak highly enough about how much it has already helped him in a short amount of time. His confidence has grown and leaps and bounds and he doesn’t stop talking about the friends that he’s made and all the lovely and helpful

My daughter absolutely loves coming to the nursery. The staff are caring and provide detailed feedback on a daily basis. There is always a great range of activities for the children to engage with and the children get to go out for forest school outings locally. We are so happy with the nursery setting.

Both of my children have always loved going to Nursery on the Green, the staff have been so accommodating to each of their individual personalities and have been a huge support for their development and happiness. It looks so much - non-stop fun they have each day. Amazing nursery.

We joined the Nursery on the Green family when our eldest son transferred during the height of the Covid pandemic, our youngest son subsequently joined Nursery on the Green at just 9 months old.


Settling our children in a new environment during a global pandemic was a huge source of anxiety for us,

it was a massive relief that both settled in amazingly well.


Our eldest son came out of his shell and found his voice and his self-confidence. His love for learning was nurtured and the nursery provided him with excellent tools and guidance as well as the teaching of key skills to help prepare him for school. Our youngest son absolutely loves going to nursery, he goes to and leaves nursery every day smiling and joyful.


Children thrive from child-directed activities with sensory and messy play to the various outings, phonics lessons and forest school.


Nursery on the Green staff are all extremely talented, dedicated to providing an atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, comfortable to be themselves and a keen curiosity for life.

With apprehension and nervousness in the middle of 2021, we sent our little boy (our 1st) off to nursery at 15 months. Thanks to lockdowns he hadn't had spent much time with other people, let alone other kids his age, and we were anxious about how he would take to being away from us. Of all of the nurseries
we looked at, Nursery on the Green stood out as a nurturing and personal environment and even then it has consistently exceeded our expectations. Within a couple of hours, his care worker had discovered all his preferences and the quirks of his character and reassured us by playing these back in a detailed review of his first day.


Almost a year later and our son has flourished — frequently talking about not just his primary carer but all of the staff with fondness. We can clearly see all of the care and attention he gets every day, and his activities are fun, engaging and varied. He's constantly stimulated and we love seeing the updates in Tapestry. We've registered our second and recommended to friends!

My son has absolutely loved his time here, the staff are incredible, accommodating, kind and my son has come on leaps and bounds since joining. We are going to be very sad to leave for school in September!

My daughter attended this nursery from 8 months old to when she entered reception. She absolutely loved every minute of her time at Nursery on the Green and even still wants to pop by after she has left to say hello to the staff that made her time there so memorable. Her development and social skills
certainly benefit from her time at the nursery. The nursery was always on hand to answer any questions I had but I rarely needed to as her whole day is captured on app that, as a parent, you could view in real-time. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent who is considering putting their child into a nursery.

My son joined the nursery in 2019 and from the beginning really enjoyed it. It's a great nursery with amazing staff and a very personal touch. From the beginning, it gave us confidence that we are leaving our child in good hands, in a place where he learns a lot, does a lot of interesting, original
and stimulating activities and is safe.
I would fully recommend it.

Nursery on the Green is a fantastic nursery.
The staff are friendly and fun. The food is healthy and nutritious. The environment is exciting and educational.
But the thing I love most about this nursery is that they look after the parents as much as the children. When life has thrown us spanners,
the manager and the team have gone out of their way to help us get back on our feet. They listen, they care and they’ve shown our whole family a lot of love.
As my oldest embarks on the next chapter of his life (school!), I feel reassured that I have given him the best start in life at Nursery on the Green.
I can’t thank you all enough!

My grandson recently started at Nursery of the Green, and couldn’t be happier. From his first day, he has been thoroughly engrossed in the varied range of activities and is obsessed with the Turtles. Love being kept updated through the parent app which is very reassuring.

Our two girls are so happy at Nursery on the Green. The staff are wonderful and the activities they organise are fun, varied and go well above and beyond what we do at home! This week they have been doing Easter activities including an egg hunt and making Easter biscuits and our toddler has loved it.
Staff are very supportive with everything from weaning to potty training and I know will help us to get our children ready for school as well.

Our daughter loves going to nursery! She loves the staff, has made great friends, and does such a large array of fun activities. There always seems to be something new going on, even now she has been attending for over 2 and a half years. We have always found the nursery to be so warm and welcoming,
and are really pleased to watch our little girl learning and growing in confidence with the support of the team.

My son went to Nursery on the Green from the age of one until he left to go to school. Over the time he was there, he had the most fantastic care and experience. Nursery on the Green provides a fun, inspiring, educational, and most importantly, safe, loving and warm environment. Their creativity in
activity forest school, sense of fun and learning was excellent. The staff were always there to listen and help. My son thrived in this environment and leaving felt like leaving our Nursery on the Green family. My son left a happy, confident boy with great friends and memories.

Nursery on the Green is truly outstanding. The quality of care and education my little one has received throughout her time has been exceptional. The children take part in the most wonderful experiences, including forest school, cooking, and woodwork, to name a few. The staff make the children feel
so welcomed each day, they are so nurturing and have so much fun with them! Each member of staff gets to know their key child and family so well. The only downside is how upsetting it is when your child is school age and has to leave. I feel totally blessed to have found a nursery where I could drop my daughter off and go to work with total peace of mind. Highly recommend this extraordinary nursery!

My grandson loves his time at the nursery. The staff are always welcoming and positive. I get to see his progress through the app. They post photos and videos showing his daily activities. I couldn’t recommend the nursery more highly.

Since attending nursery on the green my sons speech has improved immensely. To begin with he was upset being dropped off in the morning but within 2 weeks he walks in happily and it’s lovely to see the change in such a short time.
