Nursery on the Green

Our daughter loves going to nursery! She loves the staff, has made great friends, and does such a large array of fun activities. There always seems to be something new going on, even now she has been attending for over 2 and a half years. We have always found the nursery to be so warm and welcoming, and are really pleased to watch our little girl learning and growing in confidence with the support of the team.

My son went to Nursery on the Green from the age of one until he left to go to school. Over the time he was there, he had the most fantastic care and experience. Nursery on the Green provides a fun, inspiring, educational, and most importantly, safe, loving and warm environment. Their creativity in activity forest school, sense of fun and learning was excellent. The staff were always there to listen and help. My son thrived in this environment and leaving felt like leaving our Nursery on the Green family. My son left a happy, confident boy with great friends and memories.

Nursery on the Green is truly outstanding. The quality of care and education my little one has received throughout her time has been exceptional. The children take part in the most wonderful experiences, including forest school, cooking, and woodwork, to name a few. The staff make the children feel so welcomed each day, they are so nurturing and have so much fun with them! Each member of staff gets to know their key child and family so well. The only downside is how upsetting it is when your child is school age and has to leave. I feel totally blessed to have found a nursery where I could drop my daughter off and go to work with total peace of mind. Highly recommend this extraordinary nursery!

My grandson loves his time at the nursery. The staff are always welcoming and positive. I get to see his progress through the app. They post photos and videos showing his daily activities. I couldn’t recommend the nursery more highly.

Since attending nursery on the green my sons speech has improved immensely. To begin with he was upset being dropped off in the morning but within 2 weeks he walks in happily and it’s lovely to see the change in such a short time.

I’ve had 2 children attend Nursery on the Green and I couldn’t have been happier with the care. The staff are so lovely and take individual interest in each and every child. I couldn’t have asked for a better nursery.

From the moment my son had started Nursery on the Green I knew he was in great hands. The settling in period went so smoothly with the support from the nursery manager and the extremely qualified staff. They were so supportive during this time. As an anxious mother, they also helped support me with uploading videos and photos to show that he was fine and happy. Since being at nursery he has grown great relationships with the staff members and is always talking about them when he is at home. This shows me how happy and settled he is at nursery. Nursery on the Green team have done so well in supporting my son’s development. I would like to thank all the outstanding nursery team for the support and effort they have put into helping him settle. Couldn’t have chosen a better nursery to put him in!

As a full-time working Mum, what Nursery on the Green offers me in terms of childcare as well as emotional support is invaluable. With both of my daughters, they have made me feel at ease leaving them as babies and going back to work, especially post-pandemic. Any parent will understand the wrench of leaving behind your baby, but the staff at Nursery on the Green are so empathetic and kind. The environment is homely, and you know your baby is going to be cared for, given cuddles, looked after if they feel sad or hurt themselves and that you as a parent are going to be updated and provided with information. I love seeing what they are doing during the day and love seeing the staff always engaging with the children. They have all the patience that I don't! The staff have helped me with everything from routines, fussy eating, toilet training and they are a part of my children's wider support network. Not having nursery for a few months in Covid just highlighted what this nursery means to our family. We love it!

Excellent nursery! When I drop my child off, she’s always smiling. The staff are all very lovely and caring; they update the app with pictures throughout the day and provide an update on how she’s been doing at the end of the day. They provide fun activities like arts and crafts, outdoor play and trips out to parks and forests. Highly recommend this nursery.

Nursery On The Green's staff are always friendly and take time to provide clear engaging feedback at drop-off. My child is so happy and thriving within the setting. There is a multitude of activities and experiences for the children allowing them to really develop social and motor skills through fun and play. I’ve had three children at Nursery On The Green and each one has had happy and fulfilling experiences. The level of care and attention given to the kids, and to maintaining an amazing setting has been consistent across the 9 years we have been going.

We couldn’t be happier with Nursery on the Green, it’s a home away from home. The children come first in every decision, their happiness and safety is always paramount. Staff are amazing and go over and above to provide the perfect environment. The level of care and support is phenomenal. Forever grateful.

Our eldest boy was at another nursery setting (the sister nursery to Nursery on the Green) and our youngest now attends Nursery on the Green as it is closer to home. Both nurseries are wonderful settings and any child would be lucky to attend. Our youngest settled instantly at Nursery on the Green at just under 1 year of age. He is full-time and really enjoys it. I am grateful to the staff for providing not only a nurturing and safe environment for our little one but also somewhere he can be inspired and grow. It is no surprise that waitlist times to get in can be exceptionally long but this is a testament to how fabulous this nursery setting is. We did look at other nurseries for our youngest as a fallback to not getting a place at Nursery on the Green. No other nursery in the area came close - we were constantly comparing them to Nursery on the Green. Forest school and learning about the world beyond nursery eg. visiting the shops, the fire station was hugely important reasons why we wanted him to have the same experiences as his brother.

This is an absolutely wonderful nursery with wonderful staff. My second child is currently at the nursery, my first attended for 4 years and my third will be starting shortly! I would not send my children anywhere else. I know my children are safe and happy here and not only that but they thrive. The thought and detail that goes into the activities and resources is second to none. My children adore the staff and management. They are always made to feel special and welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery

My son started attending Nursery on The Green after the family relocated to the area. He had already been at another nursery for a year and I was extremely nervous about how he would adapt to’new nursery’. The staff were fabulous at helping him settle in and he loves going. The range of activities is outstanding and I am amazed at the dedication of the staff to keep coming up with new ideas to keep the kids entertained and the setting up of different activities every day. In the last week my son has been involved in forest school, yoga class, music class, cooking sausage rolls and a trip to the local library. I would definitely recommend.

The minute we walked into the nursery, we knew it was the right one. Children play in a very large room and there is a separate section for babies (up to 2 years). We really liked the fact that our son would be able to see children in the older section and feel a part of the whole nursery. There are lots of different sections, including water play, books and much more. One area that stood out to us was the themed section, which changes every month, eg. Gruffalo Cave - this really showed us that the nursery goes above and beyond in their thought of activities. Children are also occasionally given activities for home, to aid their development at that particular stage. There is a large garden with lots of fun activities, from a mud kitchen, to ride along toys. The nursery also goes above and beyond by bringing in extra activities for the children including a great music and dance class that our son loves. Lots of lovely trips out locally too. Feedback photos and videos are lovely too!

Our son is very happy at this nursery. The staff are kind and caring. We are constantly amazed at the range of activities they offer - crafts, messy play, outdoor activities, days out and music. Every day is jam-packed full of fun. They have really good control of the children and there is always a good atmosphere when you come in. I feel confident that my son will have a safe and enjoyable day. Staff generally communicate well with parents and any practical issues are dealt with promptly. I would unreservedly recommend this nursery. Even though we have moved slightly out of the local area we decided to continue to send our son here as we were so pleased with the care he was receiving.

This is such an amazing nursery and I couldn't speak highly enough of the nursery itself and the staff. The staff are lovely and caring, making my children feel comfortable and happy each day, making it easier to go to work knowing they are in safe hands. They are always doing different activities to challenge their development, bringing home things they have made or paintings. Quite often the children are taken on activities outside of the nursery/days out, which makes it even more fun and enjoyable for them. Overall this nursery is excellent and highly recommended.

A truly wonderful nursery with endless ideas for play and learning. The staff are so caring and my children adore them, my eldest still goes back to visit them even though she’s now at school! They are incredibly creative always coming up with new activities and are kept busy with additional music and yoga classes as well as Forrest School, but the nicest thing is that it’s a home from home.

I would thoroughly recommend this nursery. I have been extremely satisfied with the level of care that both my children have received and I have always been reassured in the knowledge that they are safe and well provided for. The staff are warm, enthusiastic and extremely professional. The daily activities are always varied and well-considered with lots of stimulating opportunities for learning as well as play. My older child established some very strong friendships during her time at the nursery and I am sure that this was partly as a result of the ‘family’ atmosphere that is generated by the staff.
