Partou Stockwood Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School

So glad our child attends this nursery. Every time we drop them off we know they are in safe hands and will have fun while learning life long lessons. So much is included compared to what other nurseries offer. All the staff are amazing. They are caring, attentive and very professional. During this pandemic they have given us a sense of 'normal' which the little ones need. Well done team, be proud of what you do.

We have had a lovely experience so far with this nursery. My little girl is always happy to go in on a morning and always has a smile on her face when I collect her. Everyday I receive thorough information from staff, detailing how my little girl has got on that day. She always has a variety of different food during her time there. I feel I can relax knowing my little girl is being looked after well at this nursery.

Finally, I believe that the fact the Manager is frequently working within the rooms with the children can only ever have a very positive impact on both the children and staff.

Wonderful nursery. Very adventurous, stimulating play, lovely staff who know the children and their personalities well. Good feedback at pick up time. Good quality meals. Good security measures in place.

Amazing preschool, love everything about it. My little boy comes out full of stories about what a great day he’s had. He gets excited to go and see the staff and his friends. I as a mum feel really involved with his development and how he is progressing. Thank you so much. Definitely recommend!

My daughter has learnt so much at Curious Hedgehogs. We were really impressed from the visiting day back in July 2018, not only did they remember my daughter's name which other nurseries couldn't, we felt welcomed. My daughter is excited every time she has to go to "school" and enjoys her experience thoroughly. As a parent we get a good insight into how they did that day, also tells me about her day. We love the observations we get weekly as we can see my daughter's progress and work with her at home to keep the learning going.

I love this nursery very much, my daughter came here and thrived and my son is in here now and is getting on so well, his speech has improved so much! He also struggles with sharing and they are teaching him so well how to share would definitely recommend this nursery.

We have 2 children at Curious Hedgehogs and could not be happier. After a long period in lockdown, we were worried about them both starting somewhere new but the staff have gone above and beyond to make them feel at home. The feedback on how they have got on each day is thorough and consistent and it's clear that the staff really take time to get to know each child well. The learning diary updates are fantastic to receive and again, it is clear that the staff tailor activities based on a child's interests and needs which is wonderful. Our daughter has some medical issues and everyone at Curious Hedgehogs has taken the time to understand these and have given me absolute confidence that she is completely safe in their care. I honestly cannot say enough about how great I think this nursery and preschool is, we are absolutely over the moon with our choice to send our children here. They are professional, friendly, enthusiastic, efficient and caring, everything you could want in childcare.

Curious Hedgehogs has done wonders for my little girl, she'd never attended any other preschool before or been to any toddler groups so joining Hedgehogs was quite daunting to her, the staff have been brilliant helping her to settle in and she adores them all. Her speech and social skills have improved massively and she seems to be progressing with all areas of her development by attending here! She looks forward to her days here and comes out of every session as happy as she could be. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly and happy environment for their child.

All members of staff are so lovely and my daughter loves every one of her teachers. They have helped my daughter through the stages of potty training and helped with advice with taking dummy away, and she has grown into so a pleasant little lady, with the help of this team, her manners and her speech became so much better attending this nursery. She has made so many friends within her class, she always tells me about enjoying her day and on the bonus side of thing she loves their dinners! She's never been a fussy eater, but she always tells me how yummy her dinner was! Just an all-around amazing place, thank you for all your hard work, all of the staff are amazing!

My son loved being at home with me so settling in wasn’t easy but members of staff were very understanding, helpful and friendly. Now he runs in without looking back and comes out all covered in mud so I know he had a good time playing in the garden with other kids. He still doesn’t eat his lunch but always eats his snacks and cake. Overall it’s a lovely nursery with friendly and helpful members of staff.

Curious Hedgehogs is a lovely setting with great resources and a lovely approach to learning and play. The staff are excellent. Everyone I’ve dealt with is so friendly and positive. My children both love being there with them.

The food is excellent, he always eats all of his meals and snacks. We are told at the end of the day what he has eaten and it always has great variety and is very healthy. He is always happy, sleeps well there and I have never had an issue. Staff are lovely, interact well with the children and are always happy to help with any questions you have. The building indoors is lovely and all the toys are wooden or natural which means a lot to me. I could not recommend this nursery more, I am currently pregnant and my second child will be attending when she is one.

I feel confident that my child is being well looked after and that she has a lovely time especially as she is able to play in the garden lots which she loves! Now she can talk she has told us she has had 'cuddles' which is very sweet and I know that I will get a phone call if they have any concerns for her. She has recently had a baby sister which has been a big change in her life which nursery have helped support her with too. Also how adaptable nursery have been throughout covid.

My child learnt lots of things in a short time and his behaviour is going better now. He is very happy now and enjoys what he is doing. He has made lots of friends and he washes his hands every time when he eats. He understands very clearly.

My little girl originally started nursery when she was around 11 months old and would get upset when I dropped her off but I noticed she quickly warmed to the lovely staff at the nursery who clearly go out of their way to get a child settled. Now she is 2 and a half years old and she practically runs through the doors waving goodbye to me. I have noticed she is very confident and is learning a lot of new things from nursery. I was really worried about returning to work and felt like I was making a bad decision for her but it’s really the opposite, it’s been a very positive experience and we love the nursery, it’s practices and all the staff.

Our son has really thrived at Curious Hedgehogs. He loves the large outdoor play area and I really like their curiosity-driven approach to play and learning. The staff are fantastic, communication between us and the nursery is excellent and the meals are varied, nutritious and (according to my son) very tasty. We really like that everything is included in the fees, from food to sun cream.

This nursery is brilliant, both of my children have been. My son has additional needs and they go above and beyond for him. I also love that us as parents get updates with pictures and videos on the learning diary so I can see what achievements my child has made.

Our son has attended Curious Hedgehogs since he was 2 years old and has really loved social interaction with other children on a regular basis. The facilities and building are always clean and the toys and activities in good condition. He speaks fondly of pre-school and comes home full of enthusiasm about his time there. I would not hesitate to recommend Curious Hedgehogs to others as our experience has been so positive.

My daughter attends nursery two days per week. The staff are always welcoming and they communicate with me about my daughter’s care and learning. My daughter talks positively to me about the staff and the friends that she has made at nursery. I know that she has a good relationship with the staff and that they know her well. My daughter often role plays at home her experiences at nursery. I can tell that she has a wide range of experiences such as playing with sand, water, painting, role play, singing, small group time and outdoor play; all of which I know is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
