Partou Stockwood Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School

I was fearful about my daughter moving up rooms, but already a couple of settling in sessions have again made it feel natural. She will for sure miss her key worker, but I suspect they will still share a laugh over the fence in the garden!

Only downside is issues with the app.

Our son has been with the Nursery since 2021 now in his final year and our daughter in her first year from 2024. The Nursery has improved massively since 2021. Our children are always happy going in which is great barometer of whether they are happy to attend. Staff are great with our children and have forged really strong relationships. There is really nice blend of indoor and outdoor space/activities in each of the rooms. Whilst we have children in different rooms we love the fact that at times they will spend some time together which has helped our youngest become more confident and our eldest naturally take on really caring role for the younger sibling. We're really pleased with the level of care provided and would recommend the nursery to any one thinking of this setting in future.

There have been inconsistencies with staffing, but I can see that these situations have been out of the staff members control. The only thing I would love more of are updates/pics/moments to see how she's getting on!

My son is really thriving at partou, he's always happy to go to nursery in the morning and he loves getting outside to play. Overall we are very happy at partou.

My son loves his time at this nursery! The staff have been amazing and understand that its a huge adaptation for any child yet they are patient and willing to learn any extra support your child needs to ensure they have a smooth transition. My son has blossomed since being here twice a week and is always excited to go to nursery and see everyone. I Couldnt wish for a better environment for my child to spend time in. If i had to comment on something that could be improved on (as small as it is) its the storage room for the prams.. its far too cramped and sometimes my mum/nan find it hard lugging my sons pram off of the chairs stacked in there! The nursery has come a long way in the past 12 months and i wouldnt put my son here if i thought he wasnt getting the right support. Thank you to the amazing team!

I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate my son, his needs and special interests as well as the transition to school. My son has made some special bonds at Stockwood Lane and we will miss this magical little setting when he leaves for school.

My child has been going to the nursery for nearly two years and has thrived there. The nursery staff are wonderful and clearly know my child well, they always take an interest in her and also me and seem genuinely interested in what we have been up to and they know her inside and outside and support me with her behaviour and her development. She eats better at nursery and enjoys being with her friends. I really feel like they are family to my daughter and we would be lost without them.

The staff are lovely and caring towards my child and knows everything about what she likes and what she doesn’t. I am always kept up to date with what she has being doing and her learning. I highly recommend.

Since attending this nursery my son has really come on leaps and bounds, I have noticed a huge difference in his confidence and speech. The staff are amazing with him and so friendly. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has been going to Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood for two years. He absolutely adores it! There is a wonderful feel to the nursery and the 'curiosity approach' makes it a very charming place to play and learn. The staff are very kind and helpful. The perfect size of the nursery enables a personal relationship between children, staff and parents. The staff know the children's names and greet them encouragingly. I am proud that my son has a place at Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood and that he is getting such a wonderful start to his development. I highly recommend.

We had such a positive experience at this nursery, it was our little boy's first time at a nursery and the nursery manager and staff in the squirrels room made him so welcome and settled. He was so happy and had so much fun, his development has come on leaps and bounds since. Thanks to everyone that kept him safe during Covid-19. I would highly recommend this nursery to others! Communication was amazing always responded to promptly. Sad we had to leave Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood but unfortunately we moved house to another part of Bristol!

Our two year old has been attending Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood for nearly a year and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. His development and speech has come on leaps and bounds since joining. He is happy to go in every morning and comes out smiling every evening. The wonderful nursery staff have taught him so much whilst also building a strong bond with him. We love hearing about the activities they organise each day and reading the thoughtful updates on the app. Everyone at nursery is friendly, helpful and reassuring. I know our little boy is receiving the best care everyday and he sees nursery as a home away from home.

The staff are very caring and understanding. My son went through a couple of weeks where he didn't want to go but they soon turned it around and now he runs in the door as soon as it opens. I can't thank the staff here enough, with how they have worked through all the lockdown's and continued to let the children have a normal life as possible.

My son has been attending Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood since January 2021 and started when he was nine months old. We have nothing but amazing things to say about all aspects of the nursery. Luckily he settled in well but I think this has a lot to do with the staff that have settled him. Having come from a childcare background myself I was very anxious about sending him to a nursery but I am so pleased I have! The communication is great, staff are very welcoming and caring and the manager is approachable and always seems happy to answer any queries. My son has developed so much since attending and the staff have got to know him so well in such a short time. I would honestly recommend it to anyone.

The entire team at Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood have been wonderful from the start. After lockdown my little girl was anxious about going to nursery but within a matter of days they had made her feel secure, welcome and happy to be there. She loves the staff and her group of friends. I particularly like the range of activities the children do everyday and I have seen my daughter grow in confidence and develop her social skills. It's been so reassuring to know my daughter is happy there.

Great nursery, my daughter loves going, she has grown in confidence and in all her skills. It’s a great place, I would highly recommend. The food is amazing, the play and learning is fantastic and the staff are brilliant. They have done amazing throughout a tough year.

Brilliant nursery with plenty of exploration play. My daughter loves it and always comes out happy. Most meals are very good, though the tea time options aren't always great being mainly sandwiches or wraps and tea is too early at 15:30pm. Apart from that, it's brilliant. The staff are all caring, kind, attentive and are always happy to chat if I have any questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We have been with Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood for over a year now. My daughter thoroughly enjoys going here and has learnt so much in this time. The rooms are spacious and there is so much outside space for the children to play in. The staff are always happy to help and are always warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this nursery over and over again without doubt.
