Partou Stockwood Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School in Stockwood is set within a fabulous purpose built facility for children aged 0 - 5.

The nursery and pre-school boasts an impressive outdoor area, with its very own allotment. Children grow their own vegetables, take part in Forest School classes and play in the spacious garden every day.

The team of teachers and practitioners prepare children for primary school with activities covering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.

The educators put a strong emphasis on learning through play and tailor activities to children's individual interests and needs. Staff have paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and all have undergone enhanced DBS checks.

Children at the nursery enjoy a varied seasonal menu filled with fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables – which can be altered to suit any special dietary requirements.

Both my children attend Partou Stockwood Lane Day Nursery and I cannot fault the level of care they provide. The staff have created a warm and welcoming environment for both children and parents.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Beautiful nursery with conscientious staff that have cared for my child from the age of 5 months to 4 years. Special educational needs were identified, met and funded and we were fully supported as a family throughout.
Staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate my son, his needs and special interests
as well as the transition to school. My son has made some special bonds at Stockwood Lane and we will miss this magical little setting when he leaves for school.

My child has been going to the nursery for nearly two years and has thrived there. The nursery staff are wonderful and clearly know my child well, they always take an interest in her and also me and seem genuinely interested in what we have been up to and they know her inside and outside and support
me with her behaviour and her development. She eats better at nursery and enjoys being with her friends. I really feel like they are family to my daughter and we would be lost without them.

We had such a positive experience at this nursery, it was our little boy's first time at a nursery and the nursery manager and staff in the squirrels room made him so welcome and settled. He was so happy and had so much fun, his development has come on leaps and bounds since. Thanks to everyone that
kept him safe during Covid-19. I would highly recommend this nursery to others! Communication was amazing always responded to promptly. Sad we had to leave Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood but unfortunately we moved house to another part of Bristol!

Our two year old has been attending Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood for nearly a year and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. His development and speech has come on leaps and bounds since joining. He is happy to go in every morning and comes out smiling every evening.
The wonderful nursery staff have taught him so much whilst also building a strong bond with him. We love hearing about the activities they organise each day and reading the thoughtful updates on the app. Everyone at nursery is friendly, helpful and reassuring. I know our little boy is receiving the best care everyday and he sees nursery as a home away from home.

The staff are very caring and understanding. My son went through a couple of weeks where he didn't want to go but they soon turned it around and now he runs in the door as soon as it opens. My son has been attending Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood since January 2021 and started when he was nine months old. We have nothing but amazing things to say about all aspects of the nursery. Luckily he settled in well but I think this has a lot to do with the staff that have settled
him. Having come from a childcare background myself I was very anxious about sending him to a nursery but I am so pleased I have! The communication is great, staff are very welcoming and caring and the manager is approachable and always seems happy to answer any queries. My son has developed so much since attending and the staff have got to know him so well in such a short time. I would honestly recommend it to anyone.

The entire team at Curious Hedgehogs Private Day Nursery, Stockwood have been wonderful from the start. After lockdown my little girl was anxious about going to nursery but within a matter of days they had made her feel secure, welcome and happy to be there. She loves the staff and her group of friends.
I particularly like the range of activities the children do everyday and I have seen my daughter grow in confidence and develop her social skills. It's been so reassuring to know my daughter is happy there.

Brilliant nursery with plenty of exploration play. My daughter loves it and always comes out happy. Most meals are very good, though the tea time options aren't always great being mainly sandwiches or wraps and tea is too early at 15:30pm. Apart from that, it's brilliant. It is hard to summarise and put into words how wonderful Curious Hedgehogs is! My daughters both attend for two mornings a week and absolutely love it.
Every single member of staff is always smiling, such a simple thing but it speaks volumes. They are clearly enjoying their jobs, which means my daughters
spend their time away from home surrounded by happy people.
One of my daughters has some additional needs, and again I can't praise Curious Hedgehogs enough for their flexibility and understanding with her. Her keyworker makes her feel like she is amazing and genuinely cared for, which has led to a huge increase in her confidence.
Curious Hedgehogs feels like a large family, all the staff seem to know all the children, and the setting is so homely, the activities are well thought out and creative.
Finally, I believe that the fact the Manager is frequently working within the rooms with the children can only ever have a very positive impact on both the children and staff.

My daughter has learnt so much at Curious Hedgehogs. We were really impressed from the visiting day back in July 2018, not only did they remember my daughter's name which other nurseries couldn't, we felt welcomed. My daughter is excited every time she has to go to "school" and enjoys her experience
thoroughly. As a parent we get a good insight into how they did that day, also tells me about her day. We love the observations we get weekly as we can see my daughter's progress and work with her at home to keep the learning going.
