Romsey Day Nursery and Preschool boasts large outside spaces and a purpose-built building. The nursery is divided into four areas: Babies; Toddlers; Transition and Preschool.

In their dedicated area upstairs, babies benefit from a private roof garden and sensory room, where they're able to explore freely and safely.

Downstairs, children are encouraged to develop their attachments, communication skills, resilience and independence through a range of carefully selected indoor experiences. Outside they will continue to thrive and explore nature with their extensive mud kitchen, sand pit and garden games.

At the nursery the children have the opportunity for the children to learn through a Froebelian approach focusing on life, knowledge and beauty.

The nursery team takes pride in making links with the local community and are often out and about exploring the world around them. They believe children and adults learn from each other and enrich each other's lives.

We have three children at Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool and have always had a consistently excellent experience. The staff are genuine and kind- all children have formed lovely bonds with their key workers and other staff, which is reassuring to see as a parent. The children have come on
leaps and bounds since starting at the nursery, which shows a real focus on learning and development. We have not always had easy room transitions or times when the children are not settled, the staff are always great with this, being supportive and generally helpful. Thank you!

Very pleased with Bright Horizons in Romsey. The level of care for our children has been exceptional. Staff are always incredibly friendly and clearly care about the job they do. The children are always doing fun activities and always leave looking like they've had a great day.

Both of our kids have loved this nursery. The staff are caring, fun and always happy to talk to the parents. They do lots of great activities with the children indoors and outdoors, in the large garden area. In preschool, they really work with the children to listen to their ideas and what they would
like to do. In babies, toddlers and nursery there are lots of varied activities that happen throughout the day with love and cuddles in abundance. Facilities are good, purpose-built. Food is made on-site and kids enjoy it. The only downside has been the lack of air conditioning inside during the hot summer months (lots of fans made it bearable in the height of heat) and minimal shade in the garden.

Both of my daughters go to Bright Horizons, Romsey and they love it. My eldest daughter is in the nursery room and she's always very excited to see the team and tell them what she's been up to. She always comes home filthy (a sign of a fantastic day!)! My youngest joined at 8 months old and I received
the best support from the baby room with this transition. More recently, she has moved down to the toddler room where she's loving her day and is always happy and content. All the staff are supportive of their needs and put their all into everything they do! My eldest moves into preschool soon and she's already talking about it and what she's going to get up to! There are not enough words to describe how brilliant this nursery have been with my child. She's attended full-time since she was 10 months old and she's now 3 years old. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly, but above all else, so caring. In each room she has been in she's been looked
after by the most fabulous team. They are always there to listen and offer advice and give daily feedback on how she is doing - nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The activities are fun, but also educational. She never has any complaints about the food either (and she's a fussy eater at home). I would not hesitate to recommend these guys. A big shout out to the deputy manager, who is always there to greet us with a smile, every day!

I have two boys that attend Yellow Dot Romsey and I think it's fantastic. The staff are friendly and caring. Everyone is exceedingly helpful regarding queries or issues that arise. Everyone is amazing with the boys when they are unsettled in the morning and throughout the day. One of the best things
I can say is the boys come home filthy which for me means they've had a great day.

My name is Sharon Hillier and I have worked for Bright Horizons for 22 years. Over the years I have been building my career from Nursery Assistant to Deputy Manager where I joined Romsey Nursery in July 2020. Now I have had the opportunity to progress to Manager at Romsey. I am passionate about creating safe and stimulating environments for the children in our care and providing them with the right experiences and resources to see what they can achieve. I enjoy new challenges meeting new families creating relationships with them, and maintaining good relationships with all children and parents.

My name is Helen Allen and I have worked in childcare for 11 years and Bright Horizons for 7 years. I started as a Room Leader and have progressed to Deputy Manager recently. I joined Romsey Nursery in August 2020, where I share the vision of the nursery to deliver high-quality experiences through fun, enriching and stimulating activities for the children as well as having a strong parent partnership.


I have experience working with children of all ages and am passionate about supporting children with their development in all areas, I have also supported children with additional needs and I was fortunate enough to be a SENCO in a previous setting which enabled me to enhance my practice further. I work closely with our nursery SENCO to ensure we are meeting the needs of all children within our care.
