Romsey Day Nursery and Preschool boasts large outside spaces and a purpose-built building. The nursery is divided into four areas: Babies; Toddlers; Transition and Preschool.

In their dedicated area upstairs, babies benefit from a private roof garden and sensory room, where they're able to explore freely and safely.

Downstairs, children are encouraged to develop their attachments, communication skills, resilience and independence through a range of carefully selected indoor experiences. Outside they will continue to thrive and explore nature with their extensive mud kitchen, sand pit and garden games.

At the nursery the children have the opportunity for the children to learn through a Froebelian approach focusing on life, knowledge and beauty.

The nursery team takes pride in making links with the local community and are often out and about exploring the world around them. They believe children and adults learn from each other and enrich each other's lives.

We've only bee here a month, but feels like much longer. Our daughter has settled in so well, from her very first settling in session, she's loved it. We were nervous about how she'd do as she was so settled before, but it's all been great! Can't comment too much on the learning and activities so far,
but she's very happy, which is our main concern. We don't get as much feedback as what she's done at the end of the day, but maybe that's "pre-school" rather than nursery.

Always feel happy to leave my toddler with such a great team. The refurb looks amazing and they have all put so much into it and coped with all the juggling and room changes with Christmas in the middle but always put the children first, ensuring all their needs where met. Overall, since our daughter has been attending BH her wellbeing and social skills have thrived. The varied activities and care received is excellent. Improvements could be made in the consistancy of updating the daily progress in the app. Lots of resources are used to vary the day to day play/learning.
We are happy with the overall experience.

As first time parents, we were apprehensive about sending our son to nursery at just 3 months old. However, from the moment he started, we knew we had made the right choice. The transition was supportive, and any concerns faded. Now he is almost 2 and thriving in toddler room. Our son has flourished
in this engaging environment, becoming more advanced in his skillset thanks to nursery's influence. He is a very happy boy, who enjoys the plethora of books, activities and yummy food available each day. The recent refurbishment has only enhanced an already excellent facility, and we are so lucky to live so close. The staff are the nurserys true asset - caring, professional, and clearly passionate about their work. Our son has formed strong bonds with a number of staff and eagerly anticipates seeing them each day, missing them when they aren't there. Their friendliness and evident early years expertise are commendable, and really contribute to an excellent overall experience for parents and children alike.

We've had issues with my child's cars and sleep and all the staff have been fantastic accommodating this.
My child has been so happy and really loves all his cuddles from one member of staff in particular and it's great to see him smiling away when I come to collect him. This particular member of staff
is always happy to chat and let us know progress or if there have been any issues and we couldn't ask for any more in terms of her and the other staff looking after our little boy!

We absolutely love the nursery staff, everyone is so welcoming and friendly and they have made the transition of our little boy into nursery very easy. He loves it there and is always happy to go in which is a statement to the work of everyone involved. The development feedback is great and really shows
how much is done daily to help him thrive. We would love more photos of the activities he does but also understand how busy it must be. Overall, great nursery and would recommend to friends and family.

My child has settled in so well thanks to the efforts of all the staff. He really struggles to sleep and they have gone above and beyond to support me and help him to have his naps at nursery. The staff are lovely and really care about the kids. Great food and activities, what more could I ask for?

My little boy has only recently started at the nursery and all of the team have been so lovely and helpful. The team are great and I feel confident leaving my little boy here!

All of the staff at Romsey Bright Horizons are brilliant. Communication with me is excellent. I feel that they have genuine affection for the children in their care. The baby room staff have been so kind to me as well as my daughter. I know she enjoys her time there and I don't ever worry about her.

Such a great team here. We have been with this nursery for over 5 years now and our third child has been going for the last 6 months too now and loves it. The staff are so attentive and caring. The management has been great and the children really have fun there. Particular mentions to three members
of staff in particular who are wonderful and work so hard!

We've got a daughter currently attending this nursery and I can't fault them. The staff are always friendly and make time to welcome her, even when busy. She only took a few weeks to settle in and now looks forward to going. We regularly find our daughter showing developmental progress (i.e. miming
to nursery rhymes) that has been instigated by the nursery. The app you have access to is also great and is kept pretty well up to date throughout the day.

Staff have done an incredible job at settling our 2-year-old quickly and comfortably. He absolutely adores the food. Good handovers at the end of every session which is very reassuring. My eldest daughter has been attending the nursery since 2019 and my youngest started earlier this year.
We don't have a bad word to say about the nursery, our children are very happy there and the staff are excellent, very professional and friendly.
We feel very lucky to have this nursery so close
to home and enjoy hearing from our eldest about the activities she has been doing with her friends.
We also like that our daughters get to spend time together in the garden even though they are in different rooms.
We would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to our friends.

My child has attended the nursery for just over a year since she was twelve months old. All the staff we've encountered have been amazing and she settled in really quickly, she has loved it there. The staff are all so friendly, kind and caring towards my daughter, offering hugs when she needs reassurance.
They get up to lots of different activities and are in the garden lots which is great! The food seems healthy and varied and my daughter usually eats very well there.

My name is Sharon Hillier and I have worked for Bright Horizons for 22 years. Over the years I have been building my career from Nursery Assistant to Deputy Manager where I joined Romsey Nursery in July 2020. Now I have had the opportunity to progress to Manager at Romsey. I am passionate about creating safe and stimulating environments for the children in our care and providing them with the right experiences and resources to see what they can achieve. I enjoy new challenges meeting new families creating relationships with them, and maintaining good relationships with all children and parents.

My name is Helen Allen and I have worked in childcare for 11 years and Bright Horizons for 7 years. I started as a Room Leader and have progressed to Deputy Manager recently. I joined Romsey Nursery in August 2020, where I share the vision of the nursery to deliver high-quality experiences through fun, enriching and stimulating activities for the children as well as having a strong parent partnership.


I have experience working with children of all ages and am passionate about supporting children with their development in all areas, I have also supported children with additional needs and I was fortunate enough to be a SENCO in a previous setting which enabled me to enhance my practice further. I work closely with our nursery SENCO to ensure we are meeting the needs of all children within our care.
