Funding & Fees
No funding - £425.98 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
15 Hour Funding - £351.50 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
30 Hour Funding - £281.40 per week (8am – 6pm, 5 days, full time)
15 Hour Funding - £269.83 per week (8am – 6pm, 4 days)
30 Hour Funding - £199.73 per week (8am – 6pm, 4 days)

Staff have been great at helping with settling in. We chose the nursery partly due to the daily access to the farm and animals. We also like the fact that the children are able to move freely around the facilities and are not confined to classrooms. We have been very happy with all aspects of care and communication and would gladly recommend the nursery to others.
Finkley Down Farm Nursery is a brilliant setting. The facilities and environment give great opportunities for lots of different activities for the children to enjoy. The staff are enthusiastic and know each child's individual needs. Our child has developed hugely since joining and loves his days at nursery!
It was a great idea to have parents and teachers meeting to get the overview of our child's behaviour and progress. It would probably be better to have more reviews at least 2x in a term so we can compare the child's growth in detail. Thank you very much for organising this.
I absolutely love this nursery/preschool. I have 2 children that attend and they are always happy to go. They always have so much to tell me about at pick up. I love that the farms an added bonus, 100% recommend.
We feel so lucky to have our daughter attend Finkley Down Farm Nursery and Pre School. It has been such an amazing place for her to have her first experiences of being in a group setting to also be on a farm and experience animals too! The staff are so kind and really understand our daughter and her development.
The staff have been very welcoming, friendly, helpful and overall lovely. The setting is amazing and my daughter always loves coming and always has loads of fun. The communication with parents is amazing also. I would highly recommend.
She enjoys the fact she can go to the farm to see the animals and is allowed to spend time outdoors.
She has improved under the guidance of the staff at Finkley Nursery.
They both love attending and every morning they are excited to go.
We definitely made the best decision in sending them to Finkley.
His speech is excellent. He loves the staff and talks about them all at home. We love the outdoor aspect and that all age groups play together, enabling them to learn from the older children. Our son plays well independently and interacts well with other children. We would recommend this nursery to any parent.
I am so happy we decided to enrol my son in Finkley nursery. He loves it and all the staff are very professional, friendly and caring. Having access to the farm is amazing and receiving weekly updates about what they have been doing which is great.

Finkley is a lovely nursery with such a great atmosphere and a real family vibe! The staff are all lovely and you can tell that they are really passionate about childcare.

I am proud to be the Nursery Manager at Finkley Down Farm Nursery, where we create a warm, welcoming environment for every child.
Building strong relationships with our families is really important to me, and I love seeing children grow in confidence, happiness and independence during their time with us.
I’m incredibly proud of our team, who care for each child with genuine kindness and dedication, ensuring every little person feels safe, valued and supported to thrive.
Alex joined the Finkley family at the beginning of the year and has been a fantastic addition to our team. She oversees everything happening within the baby room along with our daily lead, ensuring that each day is filled with care, learning, and lots of cuddles.
Hello, my name is Jennifer Russell, or you can call me Jen. Some of the children fondly call me Jen Jen!
I am the Deputy Manager here at the farm, and I have worked in the Finkley family since we opened in September 2017!
I have worked in early years for 18 years, and I pride myself on working closely with both the children and you, the parents/carers.
I have a Level 5 qualification as well as extended learning in portage and special education needs in early years.
Laura-Jane started working at Finkley Nursery in September 2022. She has a Level 6 Qualification and has lots of experience working with different-aged children!
We asked Laura-Jane what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;
"Watching the children grow and develop through all the different activities and opportunities which are given to them. From climbing trees and getting messy in the sand."
Susie has worked for Finkley Down Farm Nursery since January 2024 and is currently our Preschool Daily Lead.
Susie is currently completing her Level 5 Qualification!
Carmen has worked for Finkley Down Farm Nursery since November 2025, when our baby room first opened!
She started as a baby room practitioner, but within the year, has stepped up and was promoted to become the Daily Lead.
Chloe started with us in September 2017, when we first opened and is a Level 3 Qualified Practitioner.
"I love watching the children develop and seeing how much they change from the time they first start with us to when they leave. I also enjoy watching the children become their own person with their own personalities and characters”.
Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.
We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;
"I love seeing the impact that both myself and our wonderful staff have on the children and their future outcomes. I love to get involved and enjoy running both Bucket time and BLAST sessions within all of our settings."
