The staff have been excellent! The nursery is so clean and the staff are always keen to help and listen to queries, questions or suggestions we have. Our little boy is coeliac and is on medication as he is anaemic and they are excellent in supporting us with his healthcare needs. He is the eldest in
pre-school and I feel that he would benefit from time with older children (something the nursery have no control over). They have used the YMCA facilities for yoga and trips to the cafe which he has enjoyed! Would absolutely recommend this nursery.

The nursery has a very welcoming atmosphere and our child always has fun. She has made some good friends there who we know will move with her into reception and through the primary school they will attend. Staff are always happy to assist and keep us informed of our daughter's progress. Her speech has
developed immensely since she started attending nursery and she is a confident little girl who likes to boss everyone about. We are extremely happy with the nursery.

We have received an excellent service from the YMCA.
The staff are brilliant and have made my two-year-old feel at ease and he is always happy to go to nursery.

YMCA nursery have been great since we started using them with our then, 7 month old son.
The facilities are excellent being a brand new, purpose built nursery and our son can’t wait to get started every morning when we drop him off.
Staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and allow us to
feel really confident leaving our son there.
My wife and I have very demanding jobs, and without the friendly and flexible staff at the YMCA nursery we would struggle with Work.

We love everything about YMCA Day Nursery! Returning back to work was never going to be easy, however, my working life is very content knowing my son is well looked after. Although we aren’t physically there, we are always kept in the loop with everything. We have full trust and feel a huge sense of
safety/security from this nursery no unwelcoming attitude or bad vibes and I can see just how much they really care for each and every child. I have built a lovely relationship with staff which allows me to communicate effectively with them keeping my son's best interests at the forefront. I can honestly say the staff are so calm and reassuring which gives us peace of mind. I will forever be grateful to each member of staff as they play a huge role in his life, they are helping bring him up. Every moment is so precious, I’m so glad the YMCA staff are part of his little life. We will continue to enjoy every minute of watching his YMCA journey. With love, very satisfied and content parents!

After working in childcare for ten years now, choosing the right nursery for my daughter was very important to me. YMCA day nursery is amazing, my little girl loves going and is always doing amazing activities and bringing artwork home. I am kept up to date with weekly observations and I can check her
development online through the tapestry app. The staff provide a positive, friendly and loving atmosphere and I could not recommend them more. They also have a sensory room which is a big hit with my little girl as she loves lights and sounds. They have a great team and I could not be happier with choosing this nursery and the care my little girl receives daily!

A fantastic nursery. I knew from the moment I was shown around that my son would be safe and well cared for here. All of the staff are great. My boy comes home happy every time he has been to nursery. I love the fact that the children are quite frequently taken out of the nursery to go to the park and
library and dance studios etc., it helps burn some energy but also provides different learning opportunities. Thank you to all of the staff for giving myself and partner (dad) (first-time parents) the reassurance that our little treasure is having fun and most importantly kept safe.

Our son has attended YMCA nursery since March 2018 and absolutely loves it. He’s settled in well, the staff are really friendly and keep us up to date with his progress. There’s plenty of activities to keep him entertained, including lots of outdoor play which he loves.
He’s come on leaps and bounds
since joining. We would definitely recommend YMCA nursery

Good standard of communication, staff still learning, but they put maximum effort and are very caring.
Cleanliness isn’t perfect, but hey! - it’s a nursery, staff would have to be running around with the cloth instead of looking after the kids. It’s not dirty at all though. Just messy at times, the
messier the place, the happier the children are :-). Great sensory area and learning facilities for children. Keep it up!

My 19-month-old daughter has been going here since 14th March and I couldn't be happier. Her speech has really begun to develop and her list of foods she will eat is expanding! The staff are lovely and friendly, always happy to help and clearly care for all the children there. I especially love reading
the observations on tapestry. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic nursery with great staff. My son started upon opening in January and settled straight in despite not being left with anyone before. He always thoroughly enjoys the ever imaginative activities on offer. They also use an online facility that allows them to communicate with you at home
so you can see what your child has been up to with accompanying photos which are always lovely to see. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the nursery manager has been very supportive. I would highly recommend this nursery. I dread the day my son has to leave.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2019

My name is Ian and I am the Manager at YMCA Day Nursery. I have a passion for working with young children, providing a positive environment and helping them as individuals to develop. I have been fortunate enough through my experiences to work with children in some of the poorest parts of the world which has inspired me to ensure children have the best start in life. I have been involved with YMCA movement for many years and believe the YMCA approach to inspiring children and young people can make a difference to society. I like that YMCA North Tyneside works with some of the youngest and oldest members of our community. In my spare time, I love spending time with my wife and two children.
