YMCA staff have been amazing with my little girl! She has grown in confidence, made lots of new friends and enjoys going every day. The environment is bright and inviting, and really appreciate the inclusiveness in celebrating various holidays with the kids. The staff do not miss anything, her key workers
have been great and tell us everything she's done throughout the day during pick up, and if she's feeling unwell, they call immediately. Both the manager and deputy are approachable and have been very supportive of us during a hardship in our family. Thank you so much for all that you do!

I changed my daughter to YMCA 18 months ago, and very quickly she settled in, and we noticed a major difference in her compared to her old nursery! The staff are great, and every one of them has left a lasting impression on my daughter; she still plays nursery at home and uses the names of old staff!
My daughter comes home every day with dinner medals, which is always a sign of good food. On the weekend, she still asks to go to the nursery for lunch. The staff are absolutely lovely to both children and parents and if there’s ever an issue, they’re quick to resolve and assist in any way they can. The only letdown is there are not many updates via the app, but I think that’s because they’re so hands-on with the kids, so can’t really complain!

My son started at this setting earlier this year and I am so happy with the care he has received. The rooms have consistent staff which benefits the children during their settling-in period and I receive a thorough handover each time he is in, as well as an update on their app. It is a bright inviting
setting and my baby goes in smiling which is a big relief for any parent, I have chosen to give this setting four stars, my only criticism would be to update the app more as I have only received one update since April.

I am extremely thankful we found this nursery. My daughter has been in the baby, toddler and now pre school rooms and all have been a pleasure. I am excited for my son who has just started. All the staff have a close bond with the children which is lovely to see. The activities they do are so varied

My little one has been attending YMCA Day Nursery for about 6 months now and he's really grown in confidence! The staff have been absolutely fabulous with him even from just his first visit and I really appreciate the very quick response I always get from the nursery when I ring up. I am also really

Brilliant staff and nursery. They are all lovely with my daughter, and all know her name even if they work in a different room. They are all genuinely interested and care for the children. They have a sensory room and a large outdoor area. The meals are varied and nutritious. The children go in happily
and come out happily. I would fully recommend this nursery, and it is near a bank.

YMCA Day Nursery staff are amazing with my little boy! They have listened to all my concerns and worked with me to give my son the best help he needs. I love that they do not miss anything out, they tell you everything he's done through the day. if there is an accident, they do not wait until pick up
to tell you, they will give you a call to keep you in the loop. My little boy is not very good at joining in and meeting new people, but he loves going to nursery. I could not fault this nursery. They have been so helpful and taken the time to actually speak to you. My little boy is not very good with his speech, and we learnt that when he's shouting for one name, this is his key worker. This is a big thing for him as he has only ever had a bond with myself and his dad, so knowing he's feeling so comfortable at nursery enough to ask for his key worker is amazing.

Really great staff, friendly, and the kids love them. My 2-year-old daughter has been at the YMCA Day Nursery since she was 9-months-old and really enjoys her time there. She also loves the food at nursery, and I have no worries about her egg allergy as she has an egg-free menu. The staff are lovely.

We are extremely happy with the care our daughter receives at the YMCA Nursery in North Shields. The staff are fun, kind, engaging and knowledgeable practitioners. We always feel 100% confident in our daughter's safety, care and early education when dropping her off for the day. While our daughter has
been in and out of nursery this past year, due to Covid restrictions, she has been supported really well on returning to nursery, which she has found quite difficult at times. We know she has lovely bonds with her carers and if she needs a cuddle and to quietly read a story with one of the staff, then that's what she'll get. Despite the interruptions to her time in nursery, she has come on in leaps and bounds and we're really proud of her development which we know the YMCA staff have played a huge part in. She loves to surprise us with the things she's learned at nursery and speaks really warmly of her friends and carers there.

My little one has been attending nursery for a year! He loves it! The change in his behaviour is amazing, the staff are like family, when I’m picking him up we catch up on what’s been done in the day, how my little one has been! The communication is amazing! Not only face to face communication also
online via the online journal, emails etc. Very friendly, helped my little one massively! He always comes out happy and in-home life he will say “mummy I’m going to tell nursery this, I’m going to tell nursery that!”
My little one classes YMCA nursery as his family and will be sad when it’s time to move on! I’m so happy with them I am sending my little girl there as well, she can’t wait to go! Trust these people massively! Nothing but fab experience.

We love the YMCA nursery, it’s such a lovely atmosphere for children to play and learn. All members of staff are amazing with our daughter and make sure she is happy every day she is there. She has come on so well with her independence and learning and she loves being there, we are extremely happy.
Communication with management is brilliant and they are always there to help with any questions you have. I highly recommend this nursery. 10 out of 10.

Me and my husband love this nursery. Our daughter is very happy here and is thriving well. We were concerned when she started, as she had a whole year with me and due to Covid-19, hadn’t really been left with other people. All staff put our mind at ease and my daughter has settled in brilliantly. She
is happy to go into the nursery and is actually in a mood when leaving as she doesn’t want to go home. We appreciate everything that all of the staff have done and continue to do, especially during this pandemic. Thank you to all of the staff.

My name is Ian and I am the Manager at YMCA Day Nursery. I have a passion for working with young children, providing a positive environment and helping them as individuals to develop. I have been fortunate enough through my experiences to work with children in some of the poorest parts of the world which has inspired me to ensure children have the best start in life. I have been involved with YMCA movement for many years and believe the YMCA approach to inspiring children and young people can make a difference to society. I like that YMCA North Tyneside works with some of the youngest and oldest members of our community. In my spare time, I love spending time with my wife and two children.
