The nursery comprises of three rooms, each with age-appropriate resources and activities, and a spacious, secure garden area. Babies have their own warm and comfortable space, where they can explore and learn at their own pace, with access to soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and various other toys.

Babies proceed to the Tots' room, where they can experience more structured activities and learning opportunities. Children at around 3 years old progress to the Pre-School room, where activities revolve around their interests, and includes support in the to preparation for their next stage of education.

The nursery's ample outdoor space provides plenty of room for children to socialise, play and engage in exploratory activities with their friends. Additionally, the Heyford Park community offers numerous activities for children to enjoy.

I couldn’t recommend The Old Station Nursery at Heyford more. It’s a fantastic setting and the staff really go above and beyond. My little one loves going to nursery and always comes back with a smile on her face.

Our son is a lockdown baby, he’s attended one baby class and really only seen family and close friends, so nursery was a big step for him (and me). We have been supported so well by the staff team. Our son now shouts to come in to play with all his friends, after 4 weeks. We are so happy that he’s settled
so well and I honestly believe it’s down to the fabulous staff. Our older daughter is in preschool and is loving life there but I just wanted to message to say thank you. It’s making my transition back to work a lot easier.

My son loves The Old Station Nursery - he's been with them since he turned one, and now he's almost ready to go to big school! It's been such an amazing three years for him - he's grown and developed so much, and the impact of the nursery is immeasurable. We've been struggling with some issues regarding
his health and development, and I feel that he has always been very well supported to help him overcome his problems.
I will be so sad to see him, leave preschool in September - his key worker are angels and deserve the biggest praise!

When I had to return to work I was very scared to leave my baby with anyone at such a young age. However, the nursery have made my baby feel very happy, safe and comfortable there.
I am a very happy mummy and I can relax knowing that she is in good hands.

It's a little hard to provide a meaningful review as access is understandably limited right now - I look forward to being able to see more of the nursery in the future.
The only real negative point for me would be around how the nursery charges parents - this seems to me to be set up very much in favour
of the nursery at the expense of the parent whenever a change is made or the nursery is unavailable - I think the nursery would do well to make sure it's policies are more clearly outlined at the outset.
All this is secondary, however, as the most important thing is that my son clearly loves his time in the nursery, and I can see that the staff are really caring - this outweighs anything else - it seems to be a safe, slightly messy, environment that this is a good fit for my son - so I would recommend this nursery.

Wonderful nursery, we have been delighted with it ever since our son joined in 2019. The attention they show all children is amazing, and they really bring the children on in a great way.

We are so happy with the nursery and would recommend it to all our friends.


The staff are absolutely amazing! From day one, they have made every effort to make our little girl feel part of the nursery family, which we are very grateful for. After being in lockdown due to Coronavirus, we have seen

her go from a very shy, timid little girl with other children to one who is now confident enough to approach others and initiate interaction with them. It is so lovely to see her get very excited every morning we take her to the nursery, and it's clear from the brief handover that she has developed a lovely bond with her key worker and the other staff. In the two months, she has been there, we have seen her progress in so many ways.


The regular updates we receive are great to see what she is doing and achieving at nursery. We also love that she is being exposed to other things that she wouldn't have at home, whether that is the food or the rabbits.

Both my children attend the nursery, one is currently in the baby room, and the other in the pre-school room. They started in January, having moved from another setting, and are both very happy.
My eldest always tells me he has had a lovely day - I've had no drop off tears at all, and that's a huge
compliment! The preschool room has been excellent for him, and his confidence has grown massively since he started there.
My little girl loves the baby room staff and is always beaming from ear to ear in all her pictures, so while she's too young to tell me, I'm pretty sure she's enjoying herself too.
Overall, I'm a very happy mummy and think it's a really lovely setting for my little ones.

The Old Station Nursery is a brilliant place to send your child. Mine has been in the baby room and now is in tots, and will progress onto pre-school. The staff are all lovely, kind and caring, and nothing is a problem. My little one has come on in leaps and bounds loves going in every day. I cannot

Given the year we have had (COVID and a house fire) the level of support from the nursery has been fantastic. We started our 2-year-old with the nursery as he had a big issue with being left by mummy and daddy to the point where he would get so stressed, he would be physically sick. The team managed
to help him settle in within a couple of weeks, and he has loved being there ever since, his social skills and language are developing now where previously I was concerned. I am so convinced of the value of the nursery that I have chosen to send my 11-month-old now earlier than expected, as I am confident that they will enjoy their time there and develop well with the support of the lovely staff. Thank you; you are superstars!

The staff take great care of my child, very happy with that.
Not entirely sure of the quality of the food, as she is always starving when I pick her up.

We have been delighted with The Old Station Nursery ever since our son joined in September. We were naturally apprehensive, having never used a nursery before, and our son being only 9-months-old, not to mention the pandemic, but we needn't have worried. He absolutely loves going, he is always getting
involved in exciting activities, has built fabulous relationships with staff and even has several little baby friends. We are kept informed of his progress regularly and get excellent feedback each day from his carers. It was 100 per cent, the best decision we made.

It was very hard for me personally to send my daughter to nursery as I had never left her before, but everyone in the babies room was so so kind and patient with us taking time to reassure both myself and my daughter; we were allowed additional settling in sessions, which helped so much. My daughter
is from a dual language family, and the nursery often asks for translations of words and songs, which I just find outstanding to support my daughter. Also, a huge thank you to my daughter's key worker, who is an angel, honestly looks after my daughter so well and keeps me at ease!

My son has been attending all three rooms of the nursery, and l was happy with the care he was getting in all of them. He learned so much in there, and l know for sure that there are some skills he still wouldn't get from the family if he didn't go to The Old Station Nursery.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with this choice of nursery care for our son.
The staff have formed a strong bond and attend to his needs and development very well. In such a short time, our son has made great progress in all areas of his development, and we couldn’t be happier as we know he
wouldn’t experience the same outcome from being at home. I am always well informed about my child’s day and information from management is always clear, thorough and concise. As first-time parents, we were well supported both with our son and our needs too. Overall, highly recommended and please see for yourself.

My son has been attending The Old Station Nursery now for around 18 months and he loves it! He has various medical and developmental issues and all of the staff go above and beyond to give him the help and care that he needs. If any of the staff do not understand my son's needs, there is always someone
there to explain how to handle and deal with him and put him at ease! The manager is absolutely amazing. She is approachable, lovely and so caring towards all the children and parents. During this pandemic, she has put everyone's mind at ease with all the safety procedures they have in place to make sure our children are kept safe. My son's key worker is also brilliant, my son absolutely adores her. She always goes out of her way to make sure he is comfortable and she is lovely to speak to at pick up time, she informs me of everything he has done that day and he always leans in for a cheeky cuddle from her before he leaves! I would highly recommend The Old Station Nursery to anyone!

Our son has only been with the setting for a few weeks, already we are very pleased with the service we have received.


The manager was extremely helpful and welcoming upon registration, all the staff are very friendly and also welcoming, together with all the children that already attend.


Our

son moved daycare providers due to medical issues needing to be closer to home and nothing has been a problem. He has settled in incredibly well, we are all very happy, we highly recommend this setting to anyone.

Hello, I'm Heather and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Heyford.


We have a really great new building on the airfield at Heyford Park, with room to play and explore. Families travel to the nursery on foot and by car, from local houses and further afield from nearby villages. All are welcome
