Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Academy Gardens cares for children aged from three months to five years.

Academy Gardens is an award winning setting. The Nursery has won many amazing awards over the years which include nursery of the year in 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well as Nursery team of the year in 2019, SEN Nursery of the year in 2020 and Top 20 nurseries in 2021 and 2022.

Due to their 5 days of training a year, staff are able to keep up-to-date with the current curriculum and care for and teach the children to the highest standard. The knowledgeable, long-standing and diverse staff team are extremely passionate about helping children grow and develop and help assist them to prepare for ‘big school’.

The entire staff team pride themselves on their excellent partnership they have with parents and feel very strongly about being able to help support many families within the community through their inclusive approach.

The Nursery has a beautiful and adventurous garden which allows the children to develop their imaginations as well as a creative indoor environment. The beautiful unique setting and authentic resources provides many opportunities to inspire curiosity, awe and wonder.

My baby started nursery in August due to my maternity leave coming to an end and me having to return to work, he started off doing a settling-in period which was an excellent way for both myself and him to slowly adjust to the changes we faced ahead. The nursery staff especially in the baby room kept
my anxieties low as I was very hesitant to leave him, as he has been home home with me for the last 10 months. I am 1 month into my nursery journey and I cannot thank the staff at Academy Gardens anymore, they have been absolutely fantastic. When I collect my son at the end of the day he is always happy and smiley, I also love that the girls keep me updated throughout the day with the app. I am absolutely overjoyed with my decision to pick this nursery.

Amazing nursery. My daughter is very attached and I can only leave her with people who know how to calm her down. I relax the 5 hours she's at nursery because I know she's in great hands and they do an amazing job with her. Highly recommend this nursery, especially for young babies.

My son has been attending the nursery for over a year now and since joining, he has come on leaps and bounds. In recent weeks my son has started potty training and all staff have been so supportive. I appreciate all of the ladies working at the nursery but I would like to give special thanks to:
My son has built a real bond with one staff member and it is always reassuring for me to see my son run to her for comfort if he’s upset at drop off. She always goes out of her way to tell me what my son has been up to, even down to songs they’ve been singing. My son has a speech delay and so I really appreciate hearing about the little details of my son's day that he cannot yet share with me.
Another staff member s very understanding of my son's additional needs, and the worries that come along with this as a parent. I appreciate her kindness, patience and reassurance.
The new deputy manager fabulous addition to the team and I’m so glad that she’s been promoted!

Since my daughter has joined Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Academy Gardens, she has settled in well. I have seen improvements in her learning, socialisation and overall mood. She is very excited to go to nursery in the mornings and is very happy and feels confident when it’s time to go home.
The
staff in her room display outstanding behaviour within their roles and they have excellent communication with parents.
I am happy to know my child is safe, happy and in a positive learning environment.

My daughter started Hungry Caterpillars - Academy Gardens at the end of February, to say I was extremely worried is an understatement as I had her in a previous nursery and she was not settling well. The team here are amazing and reassured me that we can take time to settle her in and make sure she
is comfortable. The team took the time to know my daughter's likes and dislikes and she is doing so well. The communication is great and nothing seems too much for them if asked. I love that they have plenty of activities to keep my daughter engaged and happy throughout the day. I love the way they look after my daughter as if she is a family member of theirs. This nursery is wonderful and I feel happy dropping my daughter off in the mornings knowing she will be well looked after. The meals that are provided are amazing too, always smells so delicious when going in. I would recommend this nursery to others. Thank you team Academy Gardens for the love, care and respect you give.

My son has been attending this nursery for nearly 4 years, having commenced his journey with them at only 9 months old. As you can imagine, being a parent leaving your baby with anyone is extremely daunting but this has become and feels like a second home to him. All of the staff are so nurturing and
supportive and they provide him with so much care, attention and positivity. I have always found my son's key workers along his journey to be very communicative as well as taking the time to understand his characteristics and supporting him to develop on his strengths.
I would highly recommend Hungary Caterpillar Day Nursery - Academy Gardens to anyone near and far looking for a nursery in the area. I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son.

Our son has just started nursery, he is so far enjoying it! Our daughter was here too for nearly two years and all went well for us!
A lot of change in staff since our daughter has finished, which was in September 2021!
Inside there were some changes and I think the outside area could do with some
change!
We look forward to our son starting full time in just a few days!

It is a good nursery and all the staff who work there are good, loving and kind, and I can trust them and leave my daughter with them, but there are some very simple remarks about diversifying activities and providing the place with a number of games, especially the outdoor garden, so that the child

The nursery staff are all very professional and caring. I feel that the care given is personal to each child. The staff really gets to know the children and they are easy to talk to if you need feedback or have concerns. When my child first joined, I was worried he was not going to settle easily but
was surprised he settled really well after only a few days! He is always happy there. The nursery is also clean and they have excellent and various activities for the children. Overall, excellent!

My daughter is very chatty when we get her home from nursery. She has become more of a little girl rather than a baby, thanks to the environment created by Hungry Caterpillars Nursery.

From the moment we stepped into the nursery for my daughter's settling sessions, the atmosphere was so warm and we felt right at home even down to my daughter being a bit unsettled - the staff were so understanding and attentive with her needs to settle her in.
Management has been so supportive from
the start to now and the staff have so much passion in their roles, so happy to find such a warm and nurturing environment for my daughter.
Communication is great, especially the app. In such a short time, I have seen so much progression in my daughter since her start at this nursery! My daughter comes home each time from nursery with a smile on her face and talks about her day! Will be enquiring about the baby to start soon also!

It took some time for my daughter to settle in as she is naturally a shy child (outside of the house).
Staff were supportive and attentive to her needs, and now she generally likes going to nursery and has made good progress. Communication is generally open and honest, and management has been particularly
supportive of our individual family circumstances. It's nice to be able to view my child playing with others through the App.
It would be nice to have more information on my child's progression, perhaps in the form of a sort of parent's evening per term in order to get a full picture and raise any concerns we may have.

My son is so happy to be there. Best nursery for me in this area. Good organised staff and provide good attention to kids. Even as a parent I would like to be invited to a Halloween and Christmas party there because they organise very well for kids! Because of this nursery my son started to speak English
better.
