Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Academy Gardens

Amazing nursery, my child always comes home happy and full of energy and has lots to tell me. Teachers are very polite and welcoming. Very organised, very clean, just absolutely amazing with everything they plan and do with the children.

More than happy with the nursery that my daughter attends. Professional and very well trained staff, great channels of communication with parents, excellent in one word. Especially through the pandemic, they managed to be Coronavirus-free the longest period around the nurseries and schools in our area and to keep the children safe. My daughter improved her language and developed plenty of skills with the great support of the amazing teachers. I happily recommend Hungry Caterpillars Academy Gardens.

My older daughter went to this nursery and I found it to be very nurturing, so when it was time for my two younger children to start nursery, I knew I wanted them to join here too. The staff are amazing, very caring and happy to give me updates on how my babies are each day. This nursery has a very good ethos for educating children and I have noticed my 2-year-old's speech and language improving each week. The staff are always polite and even when I'm sure they must be tired after a long day, they always greet me with a smile and seem genuinely happy. I feel they really take pride in their roles and (as a nervous mum) I am lucky to have found a nursery where I can really trust the staff and the environment. The manager also is lovely and is always willing to discuss any matters, very approachable. The nursery setting itself is great with nice big spaces, always clean and the gardens, in particular, are very well kept and encourage play. Food is cooked fresh on-site each day and is always healthy.

Helpful. Friendly. Overall a good experience. Well maintained and covid aware. Current restrictions are difficult to work with but the nursery have adjusted very quick and efficiently.

The nursery is great, however on the pricey side and only offers allotted time slots so cannot do random days. Looks lovely and child-friendly. The nursery is very clean and the staff are polite and welcoming. My son learned a lot there, started walking and grew in confidence.

The staff are very patient and friendly. Everyone is proud and passionate about what they do. A lot of activities for children. My daughter loves the nursery and the teachers. Highly recommended nursery.

Staff very supportive. My daughter enjoys attending. Her key workers have been very attentive. She has been attending the nursery since she was one and she has learned so much from Hungry Caterpillars in that time.

I am very happy with this nursery. I have found the staff to be caring and patient, important attributes given my son. A big thank you to all of them. My child has settled in very well and loves the nursery. This is all because of the wonderful staff and care that is given to the children.

My son started here in October 2020 and he loves it at Hungry Caterpillar - he loves the staff and feels very safe. From the day my son settled in, I have been very pleased by the staff who are always there to help and support us when needed. The staff are also excellent at sharing what kids learn during the day and provide us with an update report on our child's progress. Overall my son and I are very pleased with the nursery.

My daughter started this nursery at 10 months old, there was a lot of care from the very beginning. Her settling in period was fantastic and she settled quickly. My daughter calls her teachers her best friends. When I collect her from nursery the first thing she says is “mum I had a good day today” with a big smile on her face. And she always says how she had a nice lunch.

Many activities for kids to develop their skills through play and interaction with other children. Staff very kind, patient and involved in their work. Personally, I recommend Hungry Caterpillar Nursery.

I must mention the fact that is opened throughout the year, and this is very handy.

Very good communication, very respectful and friendly staff. They were very supportive and patient with our 14-month-old during settling session. Very grateful to all staff and management as well. Very likely to recommend to our friends and family.

Fantastic nursery. My daughter loves it, she has thrived during her time attending nursery. Staff are all very friendly and approachable, and communication is great. They have worked so hard to adapt this past year and keep the nursery covid safe.

My daughter loves attending this nursery; she’s made so many friends and adores the fantastic staff. The nursery keeps parents regularly updated via an app; which informs of the daily activities; meals etc. It also keeps us alerted to any changes relating to covid policies and procedures within the nursery and also inline with any national announcements. I would highly recommend this setting; my daughter is thriving, and her development and learning are very much supported.

Super nursery. Very friendly, loving and hard-working staff. My son is very happy there, and the attitude of all the staff members. The manager is very positive and encouraging. I would really recommend this nursery to all parents planning on sending their children.

Really pleased as my daughter loves going to nursery. She enjoys her time there and also the staff are very helpful and supportive. I also like the nursery’s app where we can easily communicate with the nursery and see pictures of daily activities and how the children are engaged.

Very pleased with the support that the nursery provides for my children who attend. I utilise the family app system and speak to the staff to obtain updates on the progress of my children’s learning and development.

Fabulous nursery, I really couldn't ask for anything more for my little boy. They keep the kids busy with a variety of activities and support their development in each of the pre-school areas, such as numeracy, letters, communication etc. Since starting nursery, I have seen my son flourish with confidence, key skills and develop great friendships. The staff also keep parents well informed on the activities taking place in the nursery and have a great app that makes it far easier to communicate. I also love that they have an onsite chef who cooks fresh meals for the children each day.
