Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Academy Gardens cares for children aged from three months to five years.

Academy Gardens is an award winning setting. The Nursery has won many amazing awards over the years which include nursery of the year in 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well as Nursery team of the year in 2019, SEN Nursery of the year in 2020 and Top 20 nurseries in 2021 and 2022.

Due to their 5 days of training a year, staff are able to keep up-to-date with the current curriculum and care for and teach the children to the highest standard. The knowledgeable, long-standing and diverse staff team are extremely passionate about helping children grow and develop and help assist them to prepare for ‘big school’.

The entire staff team pride themselves on their excellent partnership they have with parents and feel very strongly about being able to help support many families within the community through their inclusive approach.

The Nursery has a beautiful and adventurous garden which allows the children to develop their imaginations as well as a creative indoor environment. The beautiful unique setting and authentic resources provides many opportunities to inspire curiosity, awe and wonder.

The nursery is great, however on the pricey side and only offers allotted time slots so cannot do random days. Looks lovely and child-friendly. The nursery is very clean and the staff are polite and welcoming. My son learned a lot there, started walking and grew in confidence.

My son started here in October 2020 and he loves it at Hungry Caterpillar - he loves the staff and feels very safe. From the day my son settled in, I have been very pleased by the staff who are always there to help and support us when needed. The staff are also excellent at sharing what kids learn during
the day and provide us with an update report on our child's progress. Overall my son and I are very pleased with the nursery.

My daughter started this nursery at 10 months old, there was a lot of care from the very beginning. Her settling in period was fantastic and she settled quickly. My daughter calls her teachers her best friends. When I collect her from nursery the first thing she says is “mum I had a good day today”
with a big smile on her face. And she always says how she had a nice lunch.

My daughter attends the nursery since she was a baby. We were always very happy with her progress with the great people looking after her with healthy and tasty meals provided, and with the communication between us and the nursery.
Especially in these hard times, I can honestly say that the hygiene
standards were at an outstanding level, and the nursery managed to keep and look after the little ones in the most safest way.
Over the years I realised that to choose this nursery was the best decision that I could make for my daughter, and I would recommend it to every parent.
The fact that my child happily goes to nursery says everything.
I must mention the fact that is opened throughout the year, and this is very handy.

My daughter loves attending this nursery; she’s made so many friends and adores the fantastic staff. The nursery keeps parents regularly updated via an app; which informs of the daily activities; meals etc. It also keeps us alerted to any changes relating to covid policies and procedures within the
nursery and also inline with any national announcements. I would highly recommend this setting; my daughter is thriving, and her development and learning are very much supported.

Really pleased as my daughter loves going to nursery. She enjoys her time there and also the staff are very helpful and supportive. I also like the nursery’s app where we can easily communicate with the nursery and see pictures of daily activities and how the children are engaged.

Fabulous nursery, I really couldn't ask for anything more for my little boy. They keep the kids busy with a variety of activities and support their development in each of the pre-school areas, such as numeracy, letters, communication etc. Since starting nursery, I have seen my son flourish with confidence,
key skills and develop great friendships. The staff also keep parents well informed on the activities taking place in the nursery and have a great app that makes it far easier to communicate. I also love that they have an onsite chef who cooks fresh meals for the children each day.

Academy Gardens Nursery is a beautiful setting inside and out.
All the staff always have a smile on their face.
They are happy to answer any questions and always provide feedback about your child.
There is also an app that they upload pictures daily of the activities that the children are participating
in.
The app also provides information about the snacks/meals your child has had.
When I take my child to nursery I feel confident that she is in safe hands.
My daughter has attended the nursery for a year and a half now. I have never had any complaints.
She will be staying on an extra year rather than attend nursery school as I am confident she can learn and mature in this nursery environment.

After going to 5 nurseries, I settled for Academy Gardens as it was the best of all. Before joining Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery, we looked at 4 nurseries and were not happy with many different aspects. My eldest has been attending HC Yeading since 2014 and we were so impressed with the exceptional care she received that we sent our youngest in 2018. Unfortunately, Yeading closed
in late 2018 and we moved to Academy Gardens, even though it was tough to move there, due to location, we loved HC so much and their staff, that we were willing to move. My youngest also received the same level of love and care. I can definitely say the staff genuinely care for the children. We are really sad to move but my youngest is now joining the school nursery. There is a great manager and we have grown close to all staff members in the years we have been there. A shout out to our key worker for both my girls over the last 6 years we have been there. We will miss HC but will be back to visit and hope to support them in any future activities they hold.

My daughter is in the toddler room and she loves the nursery she’s always happy when she goes into the room the staff there are amazing and treat her like their own. The management are amazing as well and always there if you have a problem and easy to talk to. And with the Covid still about, they clean
from top to bottom and have everything in place when it comes to drop off and pick up.
