Fantastic nursery, I am very happy that I choose this nursery over other local nurseries. My little boy started in October at 6 months old as I had to get back to work. The nursery manager was really great in arranging enough settling in sessions to ensure that the change wasn't a shock to him. He did a few half days before starting full time. He was assigned an amazing key worker with whom he has formed a strong bond with and he is happy and excited when he sees her, even if he's just woken up. I honestly think he misses her on the weekend. She is always excited about any new things he starts doing and I haven't had a day where I've picked him up and he hasn't had a great day. The other staff members in Explorers are also really friendly and great and he likes them all and will go to any of them without a problem. In addition, the nursery has been really great with handling his dietary requirements and facilitating elimination diets.
My daughter started nursery back in October. She was a bit upset at handover to start with but within a few sessions she was happy to walk in a wave goodbye. Her key worker is brilliant with her and my daughter has made a lovely bond. I always get great feedback at the end of her session. My daughters eating and speech has also improved. The only thing is Happy Days only have set times which is early morning 8-1 or 1-6. You cannot choose your own times. Other than that, the staff and nursery are fabulous.
My son loves going to nursery and always talks about the staff, and the activities he has done that day. They provide a good standard of care, fun activities and they monitor a child's development and encourage them to talk about how they are feeling.
They care deeply for the children and I am confident leaving my child there.
They ask about the weekends and any new information every day and any new interests carry this over into their planning.
The staff from Happy Days in Bath have been welcoming and kind with both of my sons from the start. Very involved with their wellbeing and giving me a lot of support with my children's needs.
Walked in on a staff member telling my child to ‘cheer up’ when crying and very distressed. A member of staff at the new nursery was also told by a member of staff here ‘No that my child was ‘whingy’ and ‘annoying’.'
No handover provided was always told my child had had a good day whereas I could tell otherwise and could tell my child had been crying for a long time.
No plans put in place for management of anxiety. Children were just left to wander aimlessly with a minority of staff choosing to take their role seriously instead of sitting chatting or doing paperwork.
My child enjoys nursery at happy days. He always talks about what he has been up to, the staff are friendly and this has helped him settle after time off. During lockdown they have kept us informed and would definitely recommend to family and friends. A lovely nursery and lovely setting.
Great facilities, the manager always goes out of her way to communicate or address any issues. I found most of the staff, with small exception, being quite unenthusiastic which is a shame for such a lovely nursery.
I have a good experience at this pre-school where my son has been going for a year. It is very nice and clean. The staff are very friendly. The teachers have prepared the children well for starting their school. I find my son has become more independent and tries to do all his work by himself. In recent days it has been very helpful to receive "the summary of the day" in writing, it helps us to understand what the child has eaten and have done throughout the day.
Lovely nursery. Very friendly.
Our 1 year old daughter has been at Happy Days in Bath since she was 8 months old, 2 mornings per week. She absolutely loves it and makes her 'excited' sounds in the car when we arrive. In fact, she has been happy here since day one and I have never felt that I am leaving her behind, rather that she is benefitting from every minute with the lovely staff and the peaceful, fun environment. Her key person has been wonderful since the beginning, but my daughter likes all of the staff and goes to them all happily. They have also been wonderful with our various dietary needs.
A warm welcome.
My daughter has settled in really well due to the great staff.

Meet the Team (1)
Hi, my name is Jodie! I’ve worked in childcare for over 10 years, in management for over 6 years, and been a manager for 3 years.
I have a level 3 in childcare, and a level 3 in forest school too! I love spending time outdoors, taking long walks, and also enjoying spending time with my family. I’m very excited to start my new role here at Happy Days Bath and support the nursery in the best way I can.
