Toddlers Inn Nursery School is based in North Chailey, on the site of St Peters Primary school.

Toddlers Inn’s fantastic custom-made building sits in a stunning setting. The beautiful oak tree garden, secret forest school garden, and light, open-plan classrooms are all in the striking hills and playing field grounds of St Peter’s Primary School, North Chailey.

The nursery has childcare places for 0 to 5-year-olds – the space is large but still remains intimate.

In this leafy, vibrant spot, there is no doubt the nursery can provide children with fun-filled days that will awaken the senses and kick-start social skills whilst establishing new, firm friendships.

At Toddlers Inn Nursery School, children have the freedom to explore a natural environment and can develop a sense of wonder about nature. It’s also a place where children learn to cultivate and nurture. In the gardening club, children can grow fruit and veg and eat them for lunch. How lucky!

The team and children are outside as much as possible to keep healthy, but when the children are ready to come back in there is a warm, homely space, a friendly face and a cuddle if wanted to welcome every child.

Pre school children access Forest School everyday, with their large outdoor classroom, two yurts and allotment, the children flourish in the great outdoors. During pet club they are able to learn about chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and giant African land snails!

Toddlers Inn Nursery is a lovely place for my child to come to, she really enjoys it and the staff makes her very welcome every time. The facilities and outdoor space is excellent with lots to do and play with. We regularly get updates with what she has been doing and the friends she has made.

Toddlers Inn has been fantastic for my child, with facilities for all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities. Fabulous staff, always friendly and attentive and have a lovely aura. The outside space is incredible and we especially love all of the animals that the children learn to nurture.

Toddlers Inn Nursery is an amazing nursery that I cannot fault. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone. The wide range of activities they have on offer throughout the day is great! The children get to take part in pet care, baking, science, yoga and woodwork sessions throughout the week, which

Such a wonderful nursery - the staff are all so kind and welcoming. They were very supportive when my child started at just one year old, they put me at ease and made me feel confident she was having all her needs met. My child is always so excited when I drop her off and never wants to leave! She is
always exhausted at the end of the day so it’s clear that the staff are engaging her in activities all day.

My son has been attending Toddlers Inn since January 2021 and he had the most kindest and warming welcome. All the staff have been fantastic they are so friendly and there is not a day where you don't see them without a smile. My son has made lots of friends with other children as well as staff. The
learning they do is very creative and lots of fun! I cant fault the nursery in any way and I only wish it was there when I was that age.

Toddlers Inn is a fantastic nursery where children (and parents) are known and supported. Staff are so positive and caring and are always happy to take time out to talk to parents, no question is too silly! Over the course of the year, the children are given an enormous range of experiences and activities
which we wouldn't think of providing at home. In the huge outdoor learning space, the oldest children pick up amazing practical skills and have additional responsibilities such as daily animal care (they have chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs!) An amazing team and a unique nursery experience. 100% recommended!

My son loves this nursery and we do too. Seeing our son flourish, be happy and safe is a priority for us, and Toddlers Inn has reassured us with this. Having recently moved to Sussex, we were concerned he might not settle. However, the team made him so welcome and cared for him when he felt nervous
around the other children, taking the time for one to one care. The nursery itself is fantastic with lots of different areas and activities and being an outdoor nursery, I can see how much more he has benefited. All of the staff are caring, friendly, and experienced. My son moves into the forest school part next year and they are transitioning him already and he loves it and feels ready to move which is a relief. They have been brilliant in supporting him potty train too. Overall, a fantastic nursery on all accounts and highly recommended.

Our 3-year-old son started Nursery after 18 months of staying with grandparents due to COVID travel restrictions. In a couple of weeks, he was well settled and his Language proficiency is unbelievably improved. The Manager and staff are very friendly and welcoming all the time. Now, he doesn’t want

Our son began attending Toddlers Inn just after his first birthday. He's now been there for 5 months and just loves it! The staff are so caring and kind (to him and us). They communicate with us about things like his sleep and if there are things to work on, like being more gentle with his friends there.
They do lovely messy activities, which he loves, and spend loads of time in their great garden. His key worker is even learning Makaton so that she can communicate better with him! Just recently, we had to isolate because of covid and they sent him a special delivery of activities to do at home, which was so lovely of them.

Toddlers Inn is a fantastic nursery. Every time I drop my son off, I know he’s going to have a wonderful time and have lots of great experiences. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and the daily updates on what they’ve been doing are greatly appreciated. Of all the nurseries we looked at, we

My 13-month-old son has been at Toddlers Inn since January when we moved into the area.
The joining experience was excellent, with great flexibility and understanding were shown to us by the team considering the fact we had yet to finally make our move, so travelling in from some distance.
The use
of the excellent outdoor space, even for the children from the baby room, is great, as is the variety of the food.
And the use of the app as an online tool to add photos /comments etc every single day is also something I find really helpful.
You can see the great rapport the staff have with all the children and sounds of laughter and happy children always greet you at the start and end of the day.
In summary, he loves going to nursery, you can just see when we arrive at the great relationship he has already built up with the team, who are also excellent at welcoming you when you arrive and letting you know how the day has been on pick up.
I would highly recommend Toddlers Inn

Toddlers Inn Nursery is a fantastic nursery forest school. The staff are so warm, friendly, kind and caring. My one-year-old little boy started in March after living his first year in lockdown, so I was a bit apprehensive. The manager and the team were so patient and reassuring and did lots of extras
to ensure he settled in well. He absolutely loves it there, and I get detailed daily updates, so I can see how much he’s enjoying himself, his development has come on so much since he started. The menu is excellent too, everything cooked on-site and it’s all locally sourced.

Our son joined Toddler’s Inn Nursery just before his first birthday, not long after the first pandemic lockdown. Despite the fact he had spent so little time seeing new things and new people, he quickly settled in and developed strong bonds with the caring staff. He has gone from a quiet baby to a confident,
independent-minded toddler since he has been there, which is a testament to the care and attention he receives. His curiosity is constantly fed, as well as his tummy, which he loves. He is always happy to be dropped off and is itching to get through the gate. I feel so grateful to the staff for all they have done for our son and it has made what could have been a really difficult time for him, feel positive, safe and secure. I highly recommend Toddlers Inn Nursery.

We had tried a few different settings for our nervous three-year-old as we were looking for a nurturing setting. We wanted something that was truly child-centred. Such a wonderful nursery and brilliant staff! I would recommend this nursery to anyone. My daughter has needed a bit of extra support, and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done. I took my son to have a look at Toddlers Inn Nursery not long before we went into a national lockdown, so we delayed him starting by nearly a year. Despite this, I knew this was the right environment for him. During the initial visit, we were there for nearly an hour, and he quickly became involved
in the activities the other children were doing. Since starting in January, he not only loves the nursery, he is thriving. The environment is warm and inviting. The outdoor space that was so vital for us making our decision is huge, and they have free reign to be inside or outside. They have an allotment on sight with animals such as rabbits, fish and giant African snails, and I believe they are looking at getting chickens. The food is made fresh every day, and the children help to make snacks and food. When I drop him off in the morning, I’m lucky if I get a backwards wave as he runs in so happy to be there. It’s honestly amazing, and I’m so pleased that we chose this nursery. Outstanding.

A friendly, nurturing nursery environment. The staff are kind and welcoming and the range of activities is fantastic. My son is very happy here and he has recently moved up to Forest School. He’s getting the opportunity to get involved in lots of new activities and is learning lots.
