Banana Moon Day Nursery Wollaton

Banana Moon is an incredible nursery. The warmth that we receive when we walk in the door puts both my child and myself immediately at ease. Staff are enthusiastic, confident, compassionate, respectful, creative and so fun. All the staff in the baby room have gotten to know my child and know her and her interests really well. They always make it a point to tell me what she's been up to and I love all the pictures and updates we receive through the app that they use. The food is excellent and the staff are brilliant at teaching my child to eat properly and to eat a variety of foods. My child loves all the activities and I always feel like she will be having an amazing day when I drop her off- a good feeling because I miss her so much during the day. I know she's learning and able to do wonderful activities we don't do at home. My older child (now in school) also loved Banana Moon and staff still greet her when we pick up the youngest! Thank you so much, Banana Moon.

My son has had a great experience and did lots of different activities. The app was updated every day for our peace of mind. The members of the Mini Moons teams knew exactly how to settle him in such as his favourite toys and books and were able to summarise how he got on each day at pick up time. Highly recommended!

We have been so impressed with Banana Moon. The staff are approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. Communication is excellent. The app ensures that we get all the information we could possibly need in one place. They have well thought out systems to connect home learning and in the nursery, learning to keep parents informed and involved. The provision in the Full Moon room has really suited our child. The mix of free flow and planned activities work very well. The food is excellent and they make the most of the outdoor space that is available.

This nursery has been a pleasure from the beginning! My daughter was a pandemic baby and premature she started this nursery at 8 months old and now is nearly 2, the way she has met all her milestones is amazing the constant care and attentiveness the staff offer is amazing! The staff will go the extra mile for your child to make them feel comfortable, the app was a selling point for me it's updated throughout the day with constant pictures and videos as well as your child's daily routine! You have an assigned key worker for your child also and this has been a huge help and support for us! We have always felt safe and comforted knowing our child will be looked after and cared for in the best possible way! The activities they offer and freshly cooked meals are outstanding I have no single complaint about this nursery they are fabulous, thank you to all the staff for looking after my little one especially all the staff in baby moons!

Having placed my daughter here in May, I was nervous especially as she hadn't interacted with many children due to covid restrictions. From the first settling-in session I was at ease, you could tell the team genuinely cared for her and are very friendly and approachable. I feel that my daughter has developed so much since starting here and it's great to see this and I love seeing all the activities she does during the day (via the app updates) as it's stuff I would never think to do with her.

Both my children have attended this nursery, and I’ve only had positive experiences. The staff are fantastic. They are genuinely friendly, attentive and caring. The app is brilliant and keeps me informed of my daughter's day and the fun activities provided. It’s hard leaving your child, but I know the level of care provided is excellent. I’d recommend this nursery to anyone.

A fantastic nursery with a really close-knit community feeling. The staff all take a very personal interest in the children and form strong bonds to support their development. Via the app you are kept fully up to date with several photo and video stories daily. Even in a Covid situation, we've always felt connected to what our child is getting up to and he loves watching himself back when he gets home. Between the app and regular check-ins at pick up and drop off, we feel informed and supported by the staff.

It's always difficult to leave your children in the care of someone else, however, I've never felt so confident leaving my two at Banana Moon Day Nursery Wollaton. There aren't enough words to describe just how brilliant this nursery is, considering where we have been to previously. I have a hard to please one-year-old and a sociable two-year-old and the staff at the nursery always go above and beyond for both children, very attentive, caring and always fun! There's always a huge range of activities within minutes of my children arriving, there's often a picture popped up of them doing something already and the app to keep you updated is fantastic. Seeing pictures and now videos throughout the day is a massive added bonus. Not to mention the meals provided are lovely, both my children eat them along with seconds most of the time.

My daughter has now been at the nursery for 3 months, she has settled well, engaging with all the staff in the baby room, interacting with the other babies, playing with the huge selection of toys that encourage learning and sensory play, enjoying the garden and the many different activities such as painting, biscuit making, card making, finger and foot printing to name a few. She naps well at the nursery, we regularly liaise with the staff to ensure her naps are consistent with what we do at home, she eats well - there is always a good variety of healthy meals and snacks. We get regular updates via the app and at pick ups from the staff and we are really happy with Banana Moon!

I love everything about Banana Moon but for me, it’s the staff that really make the place shine.

My son joined Banana Moon in January 2020 at the age of 3, I was so worried that he wouldn’t settle with joining in an older group but all the staff were so supportive and made him feel welcome. Fast forward 11 months and he is so excited to go to nursery on a Monday morning, refers to the staff as ‘his friends’ and has come on leaps and bounds with his writing, spelling and counting. The daily updates and photos are enough to make any parent smile, and my son's stories of his days are enough to tell me he is very happy there too.

She is always so happy to be there and I have peace of mind knowing she is having a great day.

My son started at Banana Moon in July and he loves it. All the staff are very friendly and they helped him settle in really quickly. The facilities are brilliant with lots of space and activities for the children to have fun and develop. The big smile on my little boy's face every time I pick him up tells me that he's being well looked after.
