Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool offers seven individual home-bases tailored to each age group, with an external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning.

All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden (five of the rooms have direct access).

Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with the Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians.

All-inclusive fees include all meals, snacks, branded nappies, wipes and creams.

All food is freshly cooked by the on-site chef and is nutritionally balanced.

The nursery is conveniently located on a residential road connecting Solihull to Olton. The nearest train link into central Birmingham is Olton, which is 0.4 miles away with a train journey time of 15 minutes. The nursery is also located close to a good road network and a number of bus routes.

My daughter's been at Bright Horizon for over 3 years and my son 3 months. They both absolutely love it and have learned so much. Every day is different for them with lots of fun educational activities. The staff are amazing and take their time to get to know every child.

I have been very impressed with the care and activities at Bright Horizons for my children over the past 2 years.
I really like the regular feedback and photos of the children sent to us regularly.
I find the staff to be very friendly, caring and engaging with the children.
Have recommended it
several times.
The only drawback is the cost which is quite high, however, it offers extended hours compared to other nurseries and everything is included.

My daughter started settling in at Bright Horizons Solihull in November, she needed a few more sessions to help which the management and nursery workers supported me with instantly! My daughter has been in this nursery now for 6 weeks and is like a different baby, super happy and content. The staff
are all incredible and attentive and support your child's needs, whatever that may be. There is a brilliant selection of activities and toys along with an extensive menu for different tummies! The app used is another added bonus as you can find out what baby has been eating, drinking, sleeping etc, very useful particularly in those early days. We are really happy we chose this nursery.

Being a first-time mom, I felt very nervous putting my baby into a nursery. Bright Horizons was the first nursery we had a tour at and we instantly knew our baby would fit in here. We loved the extra lengths the nursery go to for security, this has reassured me my child will always be safe. As for the
staff, the girls have been amazing always keeping me and the family updated. They are very approachable and every single one of them deserves lots of credit for doing such an amazing job of looking after our little ones.

Our daughter has settled in really well since starting back in January. She always looks forward to going to nursery and comes home with a smile on her face. Having visited the nursery several times since she started, it is a fantastic nursery. The staff are always polite and friendly and can tell they
love what they do and have the children's best interests. Her key persons have always been really nice and have loads of communication with us through the app with pictures and what they plan on doing for the week.
The nursery itself is always clean and tidy, and each of the rooms looks great and engaging for the kids. The nursery has a massive garden, complete with a large play house with a slide and a reading den. Plus plenty of room for the kids to run around in. We are super pleased with how she is doing and all that is going on at Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool.

We went after big name ‘Bright Horizons’ but unfortunately, this nursery was really not up to the mark. After attending the 1st settling session, we were so disappointed that we had to make a decision to switch nursery. Staff had no control over the kids. I literally stepped on a kids poo on the floor
during our visit. During our visit, they said there is no registration fee because we applied for 30hrs funding. But after we informed them that we won’t be joining the nursery, the manager sent the invoice of £75 registration fee. Absolutely disappointed.

We do wish your child all the best with his nursery journey after you chose a nursery that was closer to your home, but as you are aware this nursery does not offer a fully funded place and a full-time place was reserved for your child with the non-refundable registration fee in place. Unfortunately, registration fees are not refundable at any of our nurseries.

Our daughter has settled into the nursery with ease. Her key person and staff in the nursery take great care of her, pay attention to the smaller details and she is thriving. Her language has developed leaps and bounds since starting and she is always excited to go in.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool. They’ve created a lovely, welcoming environment and go above and beyond. Since my son has started at Bright Horizons he's absolutely thriving, he loves coming on his set days he's always happy when he is there. The staff are all lovely and polite. My son has built a very good bond with his key worker. I love being kept up to date on the app also.

Such a lovely, warm and welcoming nursery. The staff are wonderful and really seem to care. My little boy started nursery throughout lockdown so the experience was a little different with not being able to go into the nursery, however, lots of settling-in sessions were provided to get him used of being
away from me and the staff were really supportive during that period. Since starting nursery, my little boy's development has been amazing - his communication is fantastic and I feel that has been helped a lot by all of the activities he gets involved in. It’s lovely to get daily updates on what he has been doing via the new app and see photos of him playing and learning new things. It’s also great to be able to see his nap times and what he has eaten - the communication is great. I can’t thank the staff at Bright Horizons enough and look forward to seeing my little boy develop during his next few years.

The staff are very friendly and great with our son. He loves going there and we are very happy with the care he gets at the nursery. The food that they give is very good and the new app to provide updates throughout the day is really good. The staff have been great with our son when he has been ill.

We are very pleased to have selected Bright Horizons in Solihull for our daughter. The staff are all friendly, always communicating with us and easily available to answer any questions we have. The nursery works closely with us to ensure progress is tailored to our daughter's needs. Whether it be an
improvement in social and verbal skills, independent feeding or potty training for her. The real bonus is the new app, which is updated throughout the day with all the activities that our daughter gets up to, including pictures. It also allows staff to directly send us messages and enables parents to record sickness or absence days. Thank you all the staff at Bright Horizons for all your work during the lockdowns and allowing our daughter to have consistency during those times.

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Solihull Nursery and Preschool since autumn 2019, starting when she was eight months old. We are so grateful to the nursery for helping her to develop into a confident, intelligent and fun-loving two year old. The staff genuinely care for our daughter's
development and well-being both in and outside of nursery and engage with us as parents, giving us confidence that we are hopefully on the right track at home too. After an incredibly challenging year for everyone up and down the country, the nursery has been our one constant through lockdown's two and three. We appreciate all of the sacrifices staff have made to ensure that the nursery can stay open and bring joy to the lives of our daughter and her friends. Communication has improved dramatically since our daughter started and we are looking forward to the new app that promises to bring us more insight into what our little one gets up to when she walks through that door. My son started nursery in March. The staff were brilliant at settling him in. He has really come out of his shell since being there. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. They do brilliant activities. They keep me well informed on his progress. I have also had some lovely treats and
cards for Mothers Day and Easter. I always gets lots of photos, drawings and paintings to bring home.

The nursery has come on leaps and bounds with the current manager. The staff are friendly, competent and experienced. Our son loves going to nursery, they have equal measures of structured and unstructured activities. We are amazed how much they get taught. Our son came home knowing all the numbers
on the clock the other day and my husband and I were flabbergasted, looked at each other and both said, that must be nursery that taught him that! The setting is clean with a lovely garden. We were having some issues with the terrible two’s and the nursery staff helped us and worked with us to navigate through it without judgement. The food is varied and nutritious and hot meals are served every day. We will be sad when our son leaves to go to school in September, the nursery has been an integral part of our son’s growth, development and he has been there since he was nine months old! Keep up the good work and dedication, it is much appreciated!

My daughter has been at Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool since 2019 and has flourished in their care during this time. She has made fantastic relationships with the staff who have taken the time to get the know her and aid her development. As a result she is really confident, has great
social skills and has made some lovely friendships with her peers. The nursery staff always go the extra mile around special occasions to ensure the children enjoy, learn new things and make special treasures for us parents. The team there are really friendly, approachable and always make me feel reassured my child is being looked after.

I’ve worked in the childcare sector for 25 years, and from a very young age, I always knew this was the path for me. Creating environments where children can flourish, explore and experience true awe and wonder is what inspires me every day.


I joined Bright Horizons in October 2023, and I’m passionate about leading a setting where children feel safe, excited to learn, and supported to grow in their own unique way. I believe in nurturing strong, trusting relationships with families, and as a mum of two adult children myself, I really understand what it feels like to see your child through a parent’s eyes in a nursery environment.


I’m proud of the work we do as a team, and I’m committed to ensuring that every child who walks through our doors feels valued, encouraged and given the best possible start.

Kerry has been at Bright Horizons Solihull Nursery, where she has been nurturing young minds since September 2018, after relocating to the area.


With a passion for early childhood education that began the day she left school, Kerry has devoted her career to the development and well-being of young children.
