Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool

Would not recommend this nursery. It has been refurbished to a high standard and has a great potential - unfortunately, there are so many issues that need sorting out. The Ofsted report highlights some of them but definitely not all. There is a high staff turnover, the key person would often be off sick or just not present. Lack of training is so obvious. There is a lack of communication with parents. Nothing is written when kids are picked up. When asked to write handover on the paper on a few occasions wrong information was provided. The menu is very complicated for children. Settling in sessions were short and initially were told will be three but went down to two. There is no handover between staff members, no information seems to be passed on. Nursery manager is not willing to be flexible and solve a problem or provide any option where/if funding is available. The price goes up without any notice. It’s the most expensive nursery in the area where the service and care they provide is far from good.

Our son has been attending part-time for a year now and has loved every minute. As soon as we are able we will be extending his hours. The staff have been both caring and diligent. We always get a rundown of his days and it's obvious the staff both enjoy and takes pride in getting to know the children and helping them with their development. There is always a warm friendly atmosphere and our son always looks forward to attending.

Our son loves it here and has learnt lots in such a short space of time.

My son is thriving at this nursery. The staff are so supportive and understanding of his needs and go out of their way to help him grow in confidence. Nothing is too much for the staff. It is clear that their priority is the children. My son is so happy here. The nursery itself is also very well designed, with large rooms for all age groups. Each room has fantastic resources and the garden area outside is the icing on the cake.

I have had a positive experience with Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool. My little one found it difficult to part with me after a year at home on maternity. Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool helped him settle and integrate.

Fantastic nursery. We moved from a different nursery and our son is so much happier here. Bright Horizons Solihull Day Nursery and Preschool has excellent facilities and the staff are so caring. I would like to see a few more organised craft activities but that is the only thing I can think of to improve. The outdoor space is amazing and the catering seems tasty and nutritious.

The nursery is bright, clean and well equipped with good outdoor space. Both children enjoy the healthy meals and snacks and both are making lots of friends. They are making good progress with their speech and other developmental milestones and are well supported in their learning. Each week I am treated to a new nursery rhyme learnt while at nursery.

This shows me how happy and settled she is here, which, as a parent, is all we want when leaving out little ones in someone else's hands.

Really supportive environment and staff. They have worked hard to ensure my child has settled in. Excellent new facilities, the garden is beautiful! Happy overall with the nursery; however, more structured activities would be welcome. There appears to be a lot of free play.

I find the staff very friendly. My son loves coming and playing. They have helped him be much more confident in himself. The nursery has such a wonderful atmosphere at all times at drop off and pick up. I'm sad to be leaving.

I am really impressed with the different facilities and resources. Especially the outdoor space. My son has settled quicker than I expected.
