The first in this family of nurseries, N Stoke Newington has been rethinking the nursery experience for families since 2017 and is rated 'Outstanding' (April 2019) by Ofsted.

In 2020, N Family Club opened a sister nursery, located just across the road on Church Street, which has been specifically designed for younger age groups. Children who join Church Street as babies will then graduate to join the Defoe Road nursery, dedicated to older children who will shortly be going to primary school.

N Defoe Road has a host of amazing facilities, including four beautiful, modern playrooms designed to support their progressive early years curriculum. All children over 3 years old have the opportunity to engage and gain an understanding of the great outdoors during the daily Forest School-inspired sessions. All meals are seasonal, prepared fresh on site, and have been created with the support of Laura Matthews, the former Head of Nutrition at Jamie Oliver.

Nurseries, for many, are more than just daycare. Now more than ever, families are geographically spread, and for some, the nursery community is that support network for families – a place to come together. N designed N Family Club with this in mind. There's a dedicated parent space to relax and meet new families. And, as N members, parents also have access to Family Club: a programme of events for N families to spend quality time together. This includes an annual Spooky disco, Christmas grotto, Sports Day, as well as monthly online talks led by experts in the early years sector.

Since joining N Club, my daughters' progression has come leaps and bounds. I honestly believe that if I kept her at home I wouldn't have been able to achieve the same results particularly the improvement in her range of vocabulary. Moreover, nether would I have been able to imitate any of the activities
she has experienced thus far. All staff are super friendly and helpful.

My child has been in N for 4 years and it's been quite a ride. He is neuro divergent and has been through a lot, from difficulties in transitions to being upset every time things don't go how they're supposed to go in his tiny little head. N has provided him with a safe place to be, educating but not
imposing rules or punishments. Thanks N for all the effort put in my child's growth. He will remember you as he goes to reception.

Fantastic easter celebration in the park with plenty of activities for the kids. Especially loved the face painting and easter bonnet competition. Lots of effort by members of staff and enjoyed by all the families and little ones.

I feel incredibly confident in the safety and happiness of my 2 year old son in the care of the N Family Club team at Defoe road. They go out of their way to make every child feel seen and welcome. When our son first started, they threw him a themed tea party with his favourite animal and the children
all welcomed him with excitement making him feel so special. Our son speaks languages other than English at home and they bring these languages into his learning experience at the nursery. The food menu is wonderful and brings in a nice variety and different food groups. These are just some of the things that make this such a special place. While they don't have a big outdoor space on site, they take the children to the local parks every day which is even better. It's not cheap but you get a lot of value and peace of mind for the money.

Our son has attended N Family Club in Stoke Newington (first the Church St nursery and then the Defoe Road nursery) since he was six months old (from September 2022).
Both nurseries are superb and we cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care that they provide.
The facilities are superb
and the learning curriculum is far more detailed and advanced than we have seen elsewhere.
A special mention to the chefs and food teams, the food is well-cooked, extremely healthy and varies every week.
N is certainly not the cheapest nursery option but we do think it actually represents value for money when you compare the fees to other nurseries and the fantastic service the team provides, we cannot recommend N Stoke Newington enough.

Our son loves N Family! The team are so creative with the activities they plan for the little ones, and they clearly really love their jobs. Couldn't ask for a better place to drop our little boy off every morning - caring staff, engaging activities, great food and a nurturing environment.
One downside
is the limited outside space but the team take the kids out every day which is great.

Both of my children have attended this nursery over the past 3 years. We've had a great experience and they have enjoyed their time here. The educators and the learning experiences including the forest school daily trips have given them both a solid foundation to go on to their next stages of education.

Our eldest son has just finished 3 years with N Family, first at Church Street before moving over to Defoe Road. We've had a brilliant experience throughout and our son has always loved going to nursery - which is perhaps the most critical indicator! With N there is a consistently high quality of staff,
curriculum, learning opportunities, food and even warm greetings as you walk in the front doors every morning. In our time across both nurseries we have been impressed that as our son has moved between rooms and educators, there has been a consistency in his experience. He ended his time at N in The Clouds which was run by a fantastic educator supported by a brilliant team. They created a friendly, inclusive, supportive and nurturing environment in which our son has developed hugely and is now ready for school. Can't recommend N enough.

Our son has been at this nursery since May 2023 and we're loving it. The overall experience has been exceptional. He settled in smoothly, loves his educators and all his friends. He has since transitioned to a new room twice with ease. We are amazed at the variety of daily activities and really pleased
with the level of education. We feel supported as a family with his behavioural and educational development, and appreciate the focus on a healthy, balanced diet. The team is loving, caring, well-trained and have excelled in guiding our son through all stages of development at nursery. He especially loves that they go outside every day to explore the world. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

All of the staff from management, reception through to the teacher/carers are outstanding.
We have loved seeing our daughter enjoying every single day.

My son loves it at nursery. That, if nothing else, would warrant an excellent review. From the moment you walk in at reception, you are welcomed by a wonderful front of house and management team that make every effort to get to know all the children to make them feel welcome. The parents' breakfast
and coffee area is always well stocked with delicious food and the facilities are clean. The highest praise I can offer the nursery is the care my son receives in his room. He is nurtured and cared for by three members of staff in particular as if he were their own and it is the most reassuring thing a parent can ask for.
Superb nursery all round.
