From September 2026, the nursery has become a dedicated baby and toddler setting for children aged 0–3 years, providing a specialist environment tailored to their needs. Thoughtfully adapted to create a calm, nurturing, homely atmosphere, the nursery offers excellent resources and carefully designed spaces that support early development, wellbeing, and secure attachments.
The nursery benefits from a spacious, landscaped garden with free-flow access, giving babies and toddlers opportunities to explore outdoors, develop their physical skills, and discover the world around them in a safe, stimulating environment.
Conveniently located just off Bristol Road, opposite Whitchurch Primary School, the nursery is easily accessible for families in the local area.
The experienced team of childcare practitioners is dedicated to providing high-quality care and learning experiences, with activities thoughtfully planned around each child’s individual interests, needs and developmental stage. With a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, early learning, and nurturing relationships, the team creates a warm, supportive environment where every child can feel safe, valued, and confident enough to thrive.
Places are limited, and the nursery is welcoming enquiries for September 2026 and beyond. Families interested in the setting may contact the nursery to learn more about available opportunities for their children.
The nursery has extensive parking so parents can easily drop off and collect children. Parents who also have children attending Whitchurch Primary School will be able to conveniently use their car park for both drop offs.

I would only say when they are full they haven't got space for you to add extra sessions if needed due to work commitments but other than that a lovely place.

The entire team has been wonderful throughout. Our son has progressed in areas of speech, communication and social behaviour. The staff are very alert and have notified me of any incidents, in a professional and timely manner. The team work very well together. The whole experience has been wonderful, not only for our son but also for us. We will all miss the nursery staff very much. I sincerely recommend this nursery.

My son has loved this setting he’s been there since Jan 18 and has evolved massively with the help of the staff and the resources on hand.
The staff are approachable and friendly and keep you up to speed with constant feedback both verbally and through e-log.
The setting is excellent with a brilliant outside space which they use all year round, they offer a huge range of activities exposing the children to many different learning vehicles from basic letter formation to various messy play stations so that the children get a wide range of different sensory experiences as well.
They welcome parent feedback with a suggestion box and parent feedback questionnaires so are always striving to add new activities and improve if required.
I would recommend anyone send their child here and my youngest can’t wait to start in September.

Our son swapped from a different nursery environment to Mama Bear's Day Nursery a couple of months ago as we were unhappy with the level of care! He has settled better than could ever have been expected and we are sure this is because of the amazing staff that provide such a kind and caring welcome to all of the children! He has now made lots of friends and his learning and development has really come on in such a short amount of time! I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery and I am grateful to all there!

My son is new to Mama Bear's and has settled more quickly that I could have helped. He loves the children and staff and is excited telling me about his day.
The staff are amazing and provide a brilliant, fun learning environment and are very hospitable.

Since joining Mama Bear's in Whitchurch, my daughter has developed hugely. She loves going and can't wait to go back. She has a new found love of washing her hands and is obsessed with the 'please and thank you' song! This is the first time I have left her in a setting such as this and she has settled in so well - I have no doubt that this is down to the great staff employed at this setting. The manageress is so friendly and approachable and my daughters key worker is amazing and I feel they have developed a bond already. The children play outside everyday and they are always laughing and smiling. My daughter has a genuinely wonderful time there and I can't thank the team enough for that.
