Mama Bear's Day Nursery and Pre-School (Whitchurch)

The staff at mama bears whichurch were so kind and understanding. My granddaughter loved them. They really helped with my granddaughters development and she learned so much there. We're all very sad that she had to go to preschool after Easter. We will all miss them terribly.

We're so grateful for the care and support they've given her during this early stage of her life. Thank you to all the wonderful staff

My daughter has been attending Mama Bears since September and has been thriving ever since ! I would like to thank all the staff especially Emma , Jess , Jess and Faith who work closely with her always making her feel comfortable and simply being the best ! My daughter has been attending the nursery for a year now, to begin with she was shy and reserved. She is now very confident and has truly come out of her shell.

She has a strong bond with her key person who she loves going to see each day. She even talks about her at home and to family members.

They have put on lovely stay and plays this past year including a winter/Christmas stay and play with lots of activities and just this last week had a Mother's Day tea.

She has got on so well I would recommend this nursery with not a bad word to say.

My son has been attending Mama Bears since Sept 2024. I was sooo nervous at first to put him anywhere as he was at a childminders previously and just wouldn't settle. Within his first couple of weeks at Mama Bears he settled and I could notice a difference in him, he was so happy there and he still loves it.

My son has recently had an operation to improve his hearing and the nursery have fully supported this and have helped him come out of his shell and explore more, whilst making extra efforts to support his weaknesses.

Every staff member has been amazing with Brody and I cannot thank them enough. I have and will continue to praise this nursery to everyone because it really is a fab place to send your child :)

This is a lovely nursery not got a bad word to say my son started off as a shy unconfident boy he would cry and cry and cry the staff have been so good and patient with him he now walks in confident and wanting to play we have no tears just smiles thank you so much for your help and support I would definitely recommend

My son has attended the setting for nearly 2 years and has numerous additional needs which was identified very early on in him attending the setting. The staff on a personal level are kind and supportive of the children. On a professional level, lack understanding and experience. Staffing and hours are inconsistent, meaning that they regularly cannot fulfil the hours my son is signed up for. My son has been thoroughly let down in terms of his Senco support - the excuses given are always lack of staff, training and staff sickness. I would never recommend this setting to anyone but especially if you think your child has any kind of additional need.

Our son started at Mama Bear's when he turned two and he has had two months now at the nursery. He was warmly welcomed there and settled in fast and well. Within the first couple of weeks he seemed to be at ease when we dropped him off and has since then been in no rush to leave when we pick him up at the end of the day! The nursery manager, his key person, and other staff have all helped make his adjustment very smooth and they have kept us updated on how our son is getting on. We would be very happy to recommend this nursery and we very much appreciate how well they have looked after our boy so far.

Thank you dearly to all the staff at Mama Bears Whitchurch for providing such a loving, secure and stimulating place for the children. My boy has made lovely relationships with the other children and carers alike and he always seems happy and engaged when I pick him up. Of the other nurseries he's previously attended, this settling seems by far the best managed and organised, with interesting, new activities set out every day in advance. Thank you sincerely for taking such excellent care!

They are usually very attentive to children needs which makes me happy and very comfortable sending my child there. The fact that the encourage kids to learn new things and the patience they put into it makes me really glad.

We recommended this nursery to our friends as we were so impressed. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for fabulous childcare.

I cannot say enough good things about this nursery. My little one loves going in everyday which definitely makes mornings a lot easier. I'm always so impressed by the range of activities set out in the mornings - I'm often tempted to stay myself! I had concerns about his speech before attending Mama Bears but this has vastly improved and I've noticed a big difference in his confidence as a whole. Ultimately, all credit should go to the staff, the team are caring and fun and evidently has lovely close bonds with the children.

Amazing nursery in general, and after coming back from the Xmas break, the staff helped my child feel at ease, with lots of fun activities, stories and learning. Lovely staff, they go above and beyond, all in a happy, clean environment. Would recommend it over and over again.

My daughter started at Mama Bears in October 2023. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the team there. She was made to feel so welcome and absolutely loves going on her days. She had been out of a nursery setting for over a year so was understandably feeling apprehensive about starting. But seeing her so excited to go from the start has made it such an easy transition. All of the nursery staff and managers are amazing.

There are no words to describe what a wonderful school it is. The staff are wonderful, attentive, concerned and passionate about what they do. My son loves all the staff members and is always happy to return to school. I couldn't ask for a better school than this. I recommend this school to any parent. Thank you to all of you for the affection and love you give to all of us and for leaving us parents with a lighter heart when we leave our son with you. Because we know that he is well-delivered.

All staff are very friendly and welcoming, and all very good with my son who is for the most part non-verbal. Love the photo updates that I receive and the communication about what they’ll be focusing on each term.

Lovely preschool. My son came from a childminders, and within a few weeks, I could see such a change in him. He’s now very outgoing and has come out of his shell. He loves going every day to see all of the children and staff.
