The nursery is arranged into five age-specific rooms, each carefully designed with premium Community Play furnishings and a rich selection of educational resources. Since moving to Shooting Stars in February, after having to quickly find an alternative childcare service, we have been extremely happy with the service, care and support provided by Shooting Stars. Their friendly and approachable manner meant that we got our little one happily settled into nursery
life again with no hassle and no tears! Our little one loves going to the nursery and with the daily observations and feedback, we can see she is thriving in the environment there which is very satisfying for any parent. The staff are wonderful and communicate very well - we highly recommend!

My son has been attending Shooting Stars for quite some time now and within a few weeks of starting, we noticed huge improvements in his social, physical and mental development.
We are always kept well informed with updates on staff and the nursery and also our son's development.
It's a huge relief
that he is so happy to go into the nursery and his key worker has developed a very good relationship so that he feels comfortable and is treated as an individual, I cannot recommend the place enough.
It's an added bonus that there is always parking and it's in a great location with a lovely building, surroundings, garden and facilities.

I would recommend Shooting Stars nursery to everyone. The staff are really caring and attentive and built an excellent bond with my son who was 15 months old when he started. He loved his time there and I always felt he was being well looked after. The outdoor play area is brilliant and the classrooms
are all newly refurbished with new toys and equipment. The staff are also really thorough with the feedback they provide and the parent can receive online notifications of my son's updates which gave me the added peace of mind that he was in good hands.

Our daughter has attended this nursery for over 2 years now and absolutely loves going. The staff are so welcoming and genuinely care about the children and their development. Staff go out of their way to encourage and engage children in activities and as parents, we feel comfortable that we’re leaving
our little girl in safe hands. Resources are great and the recently refurbished garden is a great space to play and explore.

What a fantastic learning environment!
My little one started last year and has loved every minute of it.
The staff and management team are supportive, creative and encouraging when it comes to developing and interacting with the children.
My little one requires extra support to build communication
and the manager and the team have pulled out all the stops to ensure he gets the help he needs.
I can’t thank them enough for also supporting us as parents too.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with Shooting Stars in Worcester. As a parent, finding the right care for your child is vital and when you find the right place, you just know it’s the place for you. That’s how I feel at Shooting Stars.


My Daughter is in the Pre School room and every day is a hive

of activity. She has so much to challenge her and stimulate her in the room and outdoor area and the activities are always new and exciting. The preschool staff are extremely knowledgable, professional and above all absolutely love and care for my daughter, respecting her as an individual and nurturing her in her own special way.


The Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager are fantastic. They will go out of their way to always help, offer advice and listen. Every day we are greeted with a warm smile and we really feel part of the family. That to me is so important and so special because I know we always have an open door and a friendly face waiting for us at nursery.

Shooting Stars has exceeded all my expectations of a nursery. The staff have an amazing passion and love of children and all genuinely seem to love their jobs. The nursery is welcoming and friendly and I feel more than happy to leave my son there. He has been there since he was 11 months and his development
has come on leaps and bounds thanks to the professionalism and loving attitude of staff at Shooting Stars. The rooms are set up to stimulate and encourage learning and socialisation and the outside space is a huge bonus. He loves the food especially.
The staff are brilliant at keeping me up to date with everything that happens and make me feel so happy and secure. I absolutely love it there and genuinely do not have a bad word to say about the place. I recommend it to everyone.

Shooting Stars is our first nursery and from the moment we walked in there, I knew it was the right one for our daughter. There is a real family feel at the nursery and that’s clear throughout all of the staff.
We get constant updates on our daughter's progress and development. The CCTV system is
something which I think really puts Shooting Stars above the rest. Anytime in the day I can check up on baby and make sure she is ok and it just gives me peace of mind. The food which is provided is always very healthy, varied and home made. The staff really care about our daughter and it’s almost like they are extended family. They spend a lot of time with her and I couldn’t be happier with the care which is being provided for her.

I have two children at Shooting Stars Nurseries at Worcester, both in two different rooms, the care they receive whenever they are there is outstanding and the communication at the end of the day when I come to pick them up is brilliant. I would highly recommend this nursery to anybody, the manageress

We absolutely love Shooting Stars. Our daughter has settled in beautifully, which is a real testament to all the staff who make her day so enjoyable. Since our son started in the pre-school room he has been welcomed and well looked after despite a couple of changes of key worker due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff are very attentive and I am always impressed at the variety of activities he has experienced, even in a half-day session (forest
school, phonics, writing, messy play, puzzles, circle time). The meals are very nutritious and the newly refurbished building layout is excellent, allowing plenty of space for the children to stretch their legs even when not outside in the garden. It's good that the children are also encouraged to get involved in regular themed days/activities and charity days e.g. Jeans for Genes Day, Children in Need, Annual Sports Day. Thank you to all at Shooting Stars for your hard work and dedication.

My daughter started in October in baby room, I can’t put into words how incredible the transition in to a nursery was. She was 7 months and our first, so expecting the worst, however, this wasn’t the case. She has amazing bonds with the nursery staff and even gets excited when we talk about them at
home. I feel at ease knowing she is getting cared for so well. Nothing is too much trouble and every member of staff go out their way if needed.
I enjoy the fact I can log in to the camera system whilst she is in nursery to see what she is up to and see her playing happily. She eats so well and really enjoys the home cooked food.

A lovely bright, light and happy nursery with fantastic caring staff. The rooms are spacious and equipped with high quality wooden toys. All the food Is prepared fresh on site. The staff all know my son and are engaging and enthusiastic when discussing him. I’m very happy with the care provided.

My little boy struggled to settle in initially but since moving up into the next group he has developed a really lovely bond with his current key worker and has come on in leaps and bounds! The nursery interior is great since the renovation with lots of toys and areas for them to access and learn in.
He does different activities every day and always is happy when we come to collect him! I feel like the staff care about him and have got to understand his personality which makes me really happy and confident with his care. Would recommend this nursery. Will be even better when the garden is updated too.

Emma joined Shooting Stars in January 2025. Emma brought over 24 years of experience in childcare and early years education to her role. Starting her career as a practitioner, Emma has progressed through various leadership roles, including Deputy Manager and Supporting Manager, and has spent the past 12 years successfully managing several nursery settings.


As a mum to an 11-year-old daughter, Emma understands the high expectations parents have when choosing childcare. Her personal and professional experiences shape her vision for delivering high-quality care and early learning. Emma is passionate about creating a happy, relaxed, and stimulating environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.


Emma is committed to working closely with families and her team to ensure every child receives the care and education they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

Tracy Hedges

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2011

I joined Shooting Stars in 2011 when we had just one nursery setting. I was originally employed in the role of Deputy Manager at our Stourbridge Nursery, then in 2013 I began the role of Nursery Manager, moving into the role of Area Manager in 2015. I’ve worked in Early Years for 28 years.


Prior to joining Shooting Stars, as well as working in a range of practitioner roles, leadership roles, and senior leadership roles within day nursery settings, I have worked as part of a specialist support team with children who were paralysed through spinal cord injury, and I began my career as a nanny. It is safe to say I have been part of the team at Shooting Stars long enough now that it is as much a part of me as I am a part of it!


I am really passionate about creating magical childhoods that grow excited, curious children and provide the best foundations for successful lives. I have a keen interest in well-being and believe that securing high levels of emotional well-being for children in our care underpins their capacity to thrive in all other ways. After lots of years being a practitioner creating secure and emotionally enabling environments for children first-hand, I now love nothing more than supporting the understanding and development of this throughout our teams, ensuring it is fostered deeply in our culture.

Kully

Kully Dhillon

Job Title: Strategic Development Manager Joined: 2014

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.


Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management. These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.


Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.


A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.


At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.


Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
