Rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in May 2018, Bright Little Stars Nursery Watford is a purpose-built nursery located in the Watford area. The gated building has a castle theme, and is housed in a safe and secure environment, surrounded by a coloured fence.

There are three air-conditioned rooms designed for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The building has natural light where possible and there is a special nurserycam to enable parents to be part of their child's learning day.

The broad-based curriculum is designed to make learning fun within the Early Years Foundation framework.

My daughter has been with BLS since April 2016 and absolutely loves it there. The staff are excellent and take extreme care with allergies. (My daughter is allergic to dairy, eggs and nuts). They are caring and friendly and work really hard to develop the children's individuality. I am going to really
miss the comfort of knowing she is in safe hands when she leaves.

Bright Little Stars is an excellent nursery, both our boys attend full time (everyday/all day). All rooms have helped with every stage of development. The care is second to none and you can leave your child there with complete peace of mind. The food they receive is nutritious and varied, and our boys
always seem to have seconds, cannot thank the staff enough.

I can not speak highly enough of Bright Little Stars Watford. We have watched our little boy grow and flourish under their care. The staff are truly wonderful. Their patience, love and affection for the children is evident. We have always felt confident about leaving their child in their care, knowing
that he is being looked after and his growth and development is a top priority for the whole team. I wish he could continue his whole education with them.

My son hs loved coming to nursery. All the staff have been welcoming and supportive of the big changes that have happened. The activities he has been involved in he has enjoyed and speaks fondly of his key person. As a parent, I am happy as long as my child is happy. At times I think the organisation

My little girl has been in the Supernova room since May 2018. She is very happy there and absolutely loves her key person. She is very familiar with all of the carers and the support staff. She finds her sessions very stimulating and enjoyable. She is encouraged to progress in her learning journey but
in a fun way without unnecessary pressure. Her key person is the most kind, gentle and cheerful person I've known and they have a very special bond. The teachers will go the extra mile if needed. The room supervisor is superb and days are very well structured and organised. The nursery accommodates for children's diets and food is freshly made.
The nursery management treats children's safety very seriously.
I am being kept updated with my daughter's progress and I get a lot of emails with information about what she's learnt and some ideas on how I can support her with home learning.

My child started at the Milky way room in March 2019. Along the way, my child fell ill and the nursery was extremely supportive and very kind. My child’s key worker, the two nursery managers as well as the nursery administrator would call twice a week to find out how my child was doing.


I was really

glad to know how genuinely concerned the nursery was about my child. The nursery went out of their way to help my child settle back in and my child has settled in nicely since then.


From my experience, Bright Little Stars Nursery Watford team are really caring and very supportive, and ready to help, the Milky way team are truly exceptional, I’m kept abreast of all my child’s progress via the app and via daily emails, and my child’s key worker and other team members always have a few minutes chat with me about my child’s progress for the day when I pick him up.


I am really glad we choose the nursery.

Absolutely love the nursery. Within a few months of joining the nursery, my son formed a great bond with his key teachers and rest of the staff. We reviewed this nursery in February 2018 after our little one had been in the nursery for 5 months. We are pleased to say that since then, there has been lots of positive changes to her room (Supernova). Since February 2018, she has a new key person who has worked so hard with her and is very passionate
about her work. We had our first review with the key person today and was very pleased with the detailed review and suggestions to work further with our little one. The handover is now in the form of a communication book which has been working really well. The room has a new lead and overall, there have been many changes especially in relation to making the children school ready with all lots of classes for parents to help support the children for school. We are so pleased with how things have changed for the better since February 2018 and will definitely recommend the nursery. The food remains excellent with the children fed at regular intervals.

A fantastic nursery with friendly staff. Placing my little one in this nursery from 9 months old was the best decision. Emily Cooper

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

Emily has been a part of the Watford team since it opened in March 2016, contributing towards the Ofsted 'Outstanding' grading in 2018. Emily has a Cache Level 3 qualification in children and young people’s workforce, using her knowledge and passion to develop her career and achieve several promotions starting as Senior Nursery Educator and progressing to her current role as Nursery Manager.


With over 12 years' experience in various childcare settings and 4 years in a managerial position, Emily prides herself on her role modelling skills; incorporating a child focused approach to support her team and keep morale high to provide a fun, warm and nurturing environment for all children to learn and grow.


Emily has strong motivation and dedication to succeed in all that she sets out to achieve, empowering and inspiring her team to achieve high standards of quality care for all children that attend Bright Little Stars.
