There are three air-conditioned rooms designed for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The building has natural light where possible and there is a special nurserycam to enable parents to be part of their child's learning day.

After visiting six other nurseries in Watford, BLS was the only one that gave me total peace of mind. We waited over a year for a spot, and it has exceeded all expectations.
The management -Emily and reception-Cherryl are incredibly supportive and welcoming. My son was quite anxious about starting,
but his key person, Lucy, along with Betina and Emily, and the other staff members helped him settle and thrive much faster than I expected.
The facilities are tidy and well-equipped, and the daily schedule of sports, arts, and learning is top-notch. I especially value how they involve parents in events.
Highly recommended for any parent who wants the best start for their child!

My son has attended Bright Little Stars since April 2025. We have been impressed with the care, activities and overall warmth of the Nursery. The staff are friendly and communication is very good. My son is happy going to nursery and has flourished in his social skills and overall development since
joining. A BIG thank you to everyone who makes my son feel welcome in the Milky Team and leaves us as parents feeling reassured he will be well looked after.

Our child has been attending Bright Little Stars since August 2024. We wanted a Nursery where our son would be included, encouraged and loved and this is exactly what we have found at Bright Little Stars. Our child has additional needs and nothing is ever too much for the staff to meet his needs and
ensure he is reaching his full potential. He has flourished since starting, particularly from the support of the SENCO at the Nursery, Rachel, who has gone above and beyond to source training, ensure professionals are attending the Nursery and has supported with his EHCP. As Parents we cannot thank you enough for all you have done and continue to do. Our child loves the variety of activities available, the staff always work hard to provide a stimulating and positive environment so the children can excel. To all the staff at BLS - a big thank you!!

Our two son's attend Bright Little Stars in Watford - it really is a fantastic setting for the children to learn and play. The nursery staff are all so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, they continually go above and beyond our expectations. They organise trips for the kids. People
come into the nursery on a weekly basis, so many things, a few are: animals (insects etc) being brought in, Spanish teacher, yoga instructor, sports coach! Have parent/grandparent/carer events. Have activities to keep them entertained. Webinars for parents. Regular parent consultations. Charity events for great causes. Have the most amazing in-house chef! We have seen that our four year old has excelled at Bright Little Stars, things like the weekly show and tell has helped his confidence. It goes without saying that the admin and management team are fantastic, and all this support the staff and parents receive from them is the backbone of what sets this nursery apart from the rest.

Overall experience has been great. Staff have been attentive and nurturing. Our child has a great time and enjoys the provided activities. The care he receives is great and as parents are kept well informed. The info through the app is great. Meals are well balanced and our child enjoys them. Little
room for improvement with cleanliness but understandable in a room full of under 2's! Overall a thoroughly positive experience and would highly recommend BLS.

It took a while for my son to settled but he seems to be happy now. The team are great with the children but sometimes shy with parents. He has bonded quickly with his key worker and I enjoy the regular updates.

My daughter has attended the nursery since June 2024, we were very nervous when she started but the team in the Milky Way room really helped her settle in well and provided regular updates. She built a strong bond with her key worker but also the others within the room and we felt a real sense of ease
when dropping her off once she'd settled as she was visibly happy and excited to be there.
The transition into the Orion room has been managed well and the team have kept us up to date on how she is doing and provide daily calls if required.
The tools such as the mobile app are helpful as it provides us with regular updates including photos and it's easy to communicate with the team and access all documents etc.
The entire team are friendly, it's a lovely nursery, clean, great outdoor space, fun activities and we've seen our daughter develop in all aspects and are happy with how she is progressing. I would recommend BLS Watford to parents within the area!

I have two children at the nursery currently and could not be happier with how Bright Little Stars are with them. Both boys get so excited on the days they are going to nursery , the staff are all really friendly and interact with all the children. The nursery arrange a number of different events throughout
the year that are really enjoyable involving all of the family. I love being able to see what the boys are getting up to throughout the day via the app. They focus a lot on education and make it very enjoyable for the children, both boys have come such a long way since starting over a year ago and the nursery have a big part to play in that. Highly recommend!

My 3 year old daughter has been at Bright Little Stars Watford since she was 11 months old and she has absolutely thrived there.
The staff are attentive, reassuring and caring, the meals are nutritious and varied, and they do some really fun and creative activities. The parents are very involved too
with their parent involvement days and special webinars to support parents with things like fussy eating and toddler sleep. I especially like the fact that we have access to cameras - it means we can check on our daughter whenever we want. Great nursery and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Our child has been with Bright Little Stars for a few months now and we can tell he absolutely loves it. As parents, we are kept in the loop with everything he does and we know exactly how his day has been.
The app is very user-friendly. I'm able to upload to the app as well as the nursery staff. This
creates a nice two-way timeline of home and nursery achievements.
The parents are well looked after at the nursery and I always grab a fresh coffee in the morning from their coffee machine. I've been to a Father's Day breakfast and have done some free online courses they offer such as sleep training.
Overall it's a friendly and well-maintained nursery with professional standards that put my mind at ease leaving my boy there.
The manager seems very approachable and remembers all of the children's names which is a special personal touch.
Finally, the cameras parents have access to view their child throughout the day gives me peace of mind.
I highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been at Bright Little Stars since September last year and absolutely loves it. The team took such good care to let her settle in at her own pace. Since then it’s become like a second home to her. She is so fond of her carers. She loves the activities and I can see how much she learns

My daughter has been at Bright Little Stars for 2 years and she loves going in every morning. The staff are very friendly and have a great rapport with the children. I have both my children attending Bright Little Stars Watford from the age of 11 months and now my eldest is 4.5 and youngest 2.5 and I can’t sing enough praises. Honestly, the team are incredible, my children have learnt so much and with my eldest getting ready for school in September I have no doubt
that Bright Little Stars has given him the best foundation to build off. I would recommend them to anyone.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

Emily has been a part of the Watford team since it opened in March 2016, contributing towards the Ofsted 'Outstanding' grading in 2018. Emily has a Cache Level 3 qualification in children and young people’s workforce, using her knowledge and passion to develop her career and achieve several promotions starting as Senior Nursery Educator and progressing to her current role as Nursery Manager.


With over 12 years' experience in various childcare settings and 4 years in a managerial position, Emily prides herself on her role modelling skills; incorporating a child focused approach to support her team and keep morale high to provide a fun, warm and nurturing environment for all children to learn and grow.


Emily has strong motivation and dedication to succeed in all that she sets out to achieve, empowering and inspiring her team to achieve high standards of quality care for all children that attend Bright Little Stars.
