My little girl joined in January and it has been a pleasure to be able to drop her off at nursery and feel confident that she is well looked after and cared for. This is not just by her key person or the team that runs her room (who are all amazing) but by pretty much every member of staff that she
has spent time with or come into contact with. You couldn’t ask for much more when leaving your little one in the care of others.
My only ask would be for a sugar-free cereal or porridge/muesli or yoghurt and fruit options to also be available alongside the current breakfast choices, please.

Both our sons have attended this nursery, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they have and are receiving.
The staff are all fantastic, and I feel selected because they hold the values and standards of the nursery.
The structure of the day means the children get to have continued fun and education
with a variety of activities, plus the added bonus of outdoor space.
The meals are healthy and nutritious.
The facilities are clean and safe with additional risk assessments carried out.

There is an excellent team of staff. The content of the day involves engaging activities. There is good communication from the management on any day to day updates as well as planned activities/themes. Most importantly the children love it.

Our son has been at Dicky Birds for over 2 years and my daughter started in October 2021 as a 10-month-old baby. The atmosphere throughout the nursery is bright and friendly. Every member of staff is approachable and the management team are very hands on. I honestly could not fault anything the Durham
Road nursery does. My son has flourished so much under their care and my daughter absolutely loves it there. The staff will call you during the day if they need to update you and anything I have asked for or requested has always been taken on board and acted on promptly.
The staff in both my children's rooms are amazing. Each member of staff has such a brilliant relationship with my daughter in the baby room and I feel so confident with her in their care. The daily feedback received is insightful and a delight to hear. My son can be "shy" and "emotional" at times and his key worker and room leader have also provided such support and help with him. We would definitely highly recommend.

The staff are all incredibly friendly and engaged. They are attentive and responsive to the children’s needs. They set up fun and interactive activities on a regular basis. The food provided is also fantastic.

I have been visiting my daughter for an extended visit and helping with the daily care of my grandson, including dropping him off and collecting him from nursery. I must say every day I am blown away!
The teachers are so friendly and helpful, always greeting us and asking us how we are whilst we get
settled and ready for breakfast. My grandson is always so excited to come into the nursery and see the teachers in his room.
The nursery has a welcoming and homely feel to it and always looks exciting.
It has been wonderful seeing you all for the last two months and thank you for taking such good care of all the children, especially my grandson!

We love the nursery, the staff are all so friendly and helpful and really care about the children’s welfare throughout the pandemic. One thing that could be improved during the pandemic would be some form of video of the children in their classroom as we can’t now go in. Just to see their environment.

Overall, I am really satisfied with Dicky Birds. My children are happy there. I can see a few things where improvements would be welcomed where possible. It has been a bit frustrating not being able to go in the nursery and see the little ones in their room with the pandemic and it would be good to
be able to go back when the rules ease. The "parents evening" once every 6 months doesn't either enable regular communication with the team. So overall, I find it difficult to work collaboratively with the team on the individual challenges that little ones can have. For example, my son happens to be a very shy boy and needs a lot of support to build his confidence when meeting new adults and kids. I don't feel that I can share and exchange with the team enough on that subject that is really important for his future.
Another area of improvement that I see would be the diet. Some meals have multiple carbohydrates (peas, rice and corn can be in one meal sometimes). Though overall really good.

We have loved Dicky Birds- my son will have been there for 2 years by the time he goes to school this September '21 and it's just been a joy!


Some specifics:


- The process was very well handled when we transitioned from his previous nursery and from the start we felt very lucky to have found

such a great setting for him.
- We initially had him in 3 days but they found space for 4 days when we requested this- and flexible to changing the 'off day'.
- I found the team to be very tactile and hands-on, keen to show love and understanding of the variant needs of the kids (confirmed by speaking to other parents).
- The handling of the pandemic has been exemplary, with lots of communication and support and guidance throughout - plus no forced fees when the kids couldn't attend!
- Small outside space but lots of outdoor excursions/ adventures.
- My son talks so highly of all his teachers and pals.


I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Dicky Birds Raynes Park!

Most important to us is that our 2 & 1/2 year old absolutely loves going to nursery! He goes four days a week and has the best time! We sent his big brother there as well and he also had a fantastic time. The staff are brilliant, so caring and loving towards the children and there's a clear curriculum
that we are regularly kept up to date with. Even during the past 12 months, the staff have made sure that parents are kept informed on what's going on in the nursery.
Highly recommended and we will be sad when our little boy has to leave!

Our child has attended Dicky Birds for 2 years and has thrived in their care. The staff are friendly and caring, even more so over the last 12 months of the pandemic where we have been lucky enough for our child to feel safe every day at nursery. There is a great balance of fun and structured time,

My youngest daughter is currently in the baby room at Raynes Park and we couldn’t be happier with the nursery. Everyone connected with the nursery is great - from the waiting list coordinators in head office down to the key workers within the nursery itself. The nursery has adapted well to Covid - moving
drop off and collection outside but you still get a chance to interact with staff and find out about your little one's day. I’d recommend Dicky Birds to all of my friends - but if you want to get in - put your name on the waiting list as soon as possible as it’s very busy!
