Little Learners: St Mary's Nursery

I would like to wish the nursery all the best as they deserve this recognition.

The best review of Nurseries of St Mary's and St Saviour's is surely provided by our son, who even after a two-week break over Christmas and New Year, could not wait to return to nursery this month. He literally runs into nursery in the mornings and is still smiling at pick-up time. He is always desperate to tell us about all the fun he has had and all the activities he has been doing. Once again, this month, when he was being dropped off, he said, "I'm happy". That's the best review we can offer.

My 2 children have attended Nurseries of St Mary's and St Saviour's since the age of 1. We could not be happier with the care they have received and neither could our children. All the staff are extremely caring, everything is well organized and they do many varied activities. My child particularly enjoyed visiting the old peoples home at Xmas with her clan to sing Xmas songs. We are so lucky to have found Nurseries of St Mary's and St Saviour's.

Both my kids love it. Children are learning a lot in pre-school.

Nurseries of St Mary's and St Saviour's is a wonderful environment. My 2-year-old loves all the staff and enjoys the many activities they engage in. I can't speak more highly of them and would recommend it as a nursery setting to anyone.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff are incredible and took away my worries about leaving my little one. They put emphasis on spending time with the children instead of doing paperwork which I have seen in other nurseries. The children enjoy the gym for Pilates and exercise every day! The menu is made by a nutritionist and we were invited to taste the food the children eat which put me at ease once again. They go above and beyond. The communication is excellent and the leadership really listen to me. Some of my colleagues pay way more for provision and seem to get much less. I really like the Saturday trips where I can meet other families as well.

Both my children currently attend St Mary's nursery and I have always been very pleased with the standard of care provided. The staff are always warm and friendly and the facilities are great. I love that they have access to so much outdoor space and also the use of the school gym when there is bad weather. My eldest son learns so much at pre-school and the baby room is a lovely caring environment for his little brother.

The nursery staff are wonderful. They made the settling process really easy. Our son now looks forward to going to nursery - if I mention it is time to go, he rushes to the door; and he always has a big grin when he sees his key workers in the morning. The space is excellent and it's clear he gets up to a wide range of activities with enthusiastic and caring staff. Our son can be a bit boisterous but they've worked with him and us supportively to help him socialise a bit more calmly. He had a very personalised report and parents evening, which was much appreciated - it was clear they had really got to know him and cared for him. Management are very responsive too and we appreciate the communication through regular newsletters (including song/book of the week), emails and forums. Thank you!!

My son went to this nursery previously and it was fantastic. We had to leave London for work. I didn't know how good it was until we left. We just can't find anything that comes close to what they offer at St. Mary's. My son loved the nursery.

The staff at St Mary's Nursery have been excellent with the care for our son. Particularly as he took quite some time to settle at drop offs, they were very patient and supportive to both him and us and pro active in finding solutions to help him feel more at home in the setting.

The communication between parents and the nursery is excellent, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.

My daughter started at St Mary's in 2015 when she was one and left in May 2017 at 3 years old as we moved out of the area. I left it quite late to look for a nursery place for our daughter and looked around 3 or 4 that had space available before visiting St Mary's. As soon as I walked into the nursery, I knew it was the right place for us, it just felt and looked how I'd imagined a nursery to feel and look and none of the others we viewed compared. From day one she loved it there and settled very quickly in the baby room and quickly developed a strong bond with her key workers. The transition to toddler room for her was seamless as it was only next door and she'd got used to seeing the other children in there. The nursery staff all seem to genuinely care about the children and I know our daughter felt loved and cared for whilst there. We were very sad to leave and are struggling to find a day nursery anywhere near as good in our new home town.

St Mary's is a wonderful nursery. My son is so happy there. They do a broad and exciting range of activities and they're child centred on each kids preferences. The care is also child centred. My son changed key workers when settling to those he had formed a bond with and all staff are loving and skilled.

They communicate well with parents using weekly newsletters, parents forums, parents evenings, term reports and online child development database tapestry which parents can access. I'm so pleased to have my son at St Mary's and have no concerns leaving him. He loves it too and my husband can't get him to leave at home time.

My daughter is very happy at St Mary's Nursery and looks forward to going each day. The staff are caring and plan varied and exciting activities which my daughter always enjoys. The facilities are great, especially as the nursery have access to the school facilities such as the gym.

St Mary's Nursery is a lovely welcoming environment, created by the wonderful spaces as well as the staff. My daughter recently started in the baby room and settled very quickly, which I'm sure was due to how comfortable she feels in the room and the caring experienced staff. I feel confident leaving her in their care and know she has a lovely time.

My son has settled really well into this nursery. The staff go above and beyond my expectations daily. It makes me happy that my son is taken care of by such lovely people when I'm not around. Thank you to all the staff at St Mary's Nursery.

We have been very happy with the care of our son at St Mary's. He has developed great relationships with several of the staff members, the activities offered are constantly being reviewed and expanded upon and the nursery makes an effort to communicate with parents and incorporate our feedback.

Our son has been attending St Mary's since he turned one. The nursery and its excellent staff have played a key role in making him the happy boy that he is today. He adores the staff and every day we can see (and hear!) the progress he is making thanks to the quality of care and the breadth of activities and experiences that he enjoys on his days there. The other day when we arrived to collect him, he was running around shouting "happy!" which speaks volumes.

We are delighted with the childcare provided by St Mary's for our 4-year-old son in preschool and for our 18-month-old in the baby room. The staff are enthusiastic, engaging and genuinely seem like they enjoy being there and spending time with the children! Most importantly for us, they seem to understand and appreciate the individual characters of our children and encourage them to grow and develop through play.

The building and rooms are clean and up to date with resources for the relevant age groups.

St Mary's nursery has provided excellent care for my daughter over the last 2.5 years. The staff are attentive, supportive and caring. The days are structured and children are encouraged to take part in all activities. My daughter always enjoys her days at the nursery, and she has developed many skills and learnt a great deal.
