Mead Open Farm Day Nursery

Overall, the nursery is a brilliant place for children - they spend most of the time outside and with the animals. Education is good. The staff are doing the best they can, most are very friendly and I'd happily recommend to any parent.

I have 2 children at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery and they both love it. The oldest is in the toddler room and comes home telling me about all the fun he's had. The development I've witnessed in both of them since they joined the nursery is fantastic. I love the fact they get to explore the farm, I feel it helps give the variety in their day. My youngest really struggled to settle and the staff went above and beyond to encourage her. I can't thank them enough as she now loves it, and is learning it's ok to be independent of me. I highly recommend this nursery.

It is great that the children can explore the farm or soft play almost every day and the nursery put on a wide range of activities.

Since our daughter has been at Mead Open Farm she has developed so much. She loves being outside and this nursery provides so much outdoor play. I am extremely impressed with all the staff who look after my daughter. She seems to have strong connections with multiple members and staff are extremely welcoming when I drop her off in the morning. I love how informed we are as parents as to what our daughter has been doing at nursery.

We love the personal connection our son has had with the staff at Mead. There are great facilities at the nursery and the staff take the time to understand him. Our son really enjoys his time at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery.

All team members, without exception, are friendly, welcoming, kind and understanding. My son absolutely loves his time at nursery, literally running into the room each morning. There are such a great range of different activities - indoors and especially outdoor with access to the farm and their programme of events. The most important thing though is the genuine care shown by the team - they are brilliant.

Our son has gained so much since joining Mead. His confidence has grown and he enjoys his time there. He gets to spend quality time outside, whether it be visiting the farm facilities or the free flow outside space. The carers are brilliant and attentive and take great care with him. They hold summer parties and are open to feedback and suggestions and are keen to improve their processes.

Staff are polite and attentive, always interested in our lives. Happy to spend time getting to know you. Key workers understand my children and their needs! Work well to encourage my child to eat a variety of food groups. They have a wide range of activities and always something different to enjoy. The activities are educational and encourage key skills.

Our child has been at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery since Oct 2017. He has never been upset about attending, and every day since he's been able to talk loves telling us about his friends and activities. He has developed enormously and the work the team here do is a massive part of that. Of course, nothing is perfect but this nursery is amazing and I highly recommend it. If we have a second they would definitely come here.

A fantastic caring nursery with lots of fun and stimulating interactive activities for the children to take part in. The farm adds an individual touch which cannot be found anywhere else in the local area. The children are happy, safe and cared for and I would definitely recommend it to other parents.

We're pleased we picked the Nursery and feel it will be a sad and emotional day when our daughter leaves for school but we will take with us the happy memories made there.

The trips over to the farm is a super bonus.

The staff are great and our daughter loves it here. The day trips to the farm are always an added bonus. The buzzing in which is definitely needed can be a little bit slow getting in. I understand that everybody is busy. It's a small negative but I'd rather be safe.

We couldn't be happier with Mead Open Farm Day Nursery. Our daughter has been going since it opened in April and thoroughly enjoys it. The staff are kind and professional, the facilities are excellent and the interaction with the Farm and the animals is fantastic.

Amazing brand new nursery. Staff are friendly and the link between the nursery and the farm is brilliant. My little one is so excited and comes home with loads of stories. Well done! Awesome team as well.
