Mead Open Farm Day Nursery and Pre-school is part of the Farm Day Nurseries group and sits within a farm environment. It has two self-contained, nursery and pre-school buildings, a fantastic garden and the opportunity for children to visit the farm and play attractions daily.

It has modern facilities in a rural setting and provides nurturing care for children and babies from the age of six weeks to five years, with funded pre-school places available. The nursery ensures that the children have a well-balanced diet, and can cater for any special dietary requirements that may be needed.

Our daughter loves going to Mead Open Farm Nursery, she does such a wide variety of activities and she really loves visiting the animals at the farm.

My son loves going to Mead Farm Day Nursery, he enjoys his daily visits to the farm and playing with his friends. The staff are always very helpful and informative.

Our child has been at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery since Oct 2017. He has never been upset about attending, and every day since he's been able to talk loves telling us about his friends and activities. He has developed enormously and the work the team here do is a massive part of that. Of course, nothing
is perfect but this nursery is amazing and I highly recommend it. If we have a second they would definitely come here.

Mead Open Farm Day Nursery has been everything we wanted from a Nursery for our daughter. She is doing amazingly well and her progression is great. Each week she comes home with new stories and is eager to show us what she has absorbed that day.
We feel our daughter is well looked after and is provided
the best care and teaching for her age. She has recently been potty trained and the support from staff in the Nursery has exceeded our expectations and we will be forever grateful for their help.
From pick-up to collection it's a smooth process and the staff are great with updating us on our daughters day which is lovely and reassuring to hear. We're envious of their daily farm trips and all the delicious food they eat. We feel as parents that communication is great and the family events they hold are so personal.
We're pleased we picked the Nursery and feel it will be a sad and emotional day when our daughter leaves for school but we will take with us the happy memories made there.

Excellent nursery. Brilliant tasks of learning through play. My daughter has come on dramatically since going to Mead Open Farm Day Nursery.
The staff are out of this world, very experienced and affectionate my daughter loves all of them.
The trips over to the farm is a super bonus.

The staff are great and our daughter loves it here. The day trips to the farm are always an added bonus. The buzzing in which is definitely needed can be a little bit slow getting in. I understand that everybody is busy. It's a small negative but I'd rather be safe.

We couldn't be happier with Mead Open Farm Day Nursery. Our daughter has been going since it opened in April and thoroughly enjoys it. The staff are kind and professional, the facilities are excellent and the interaction with the Farm and the animals is fantastic.

Hi, I’m Vikki Bosworthick-Bass, Nursery Manager here at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery & Pre-School! With daily visits to the farmyard, children LOVE meeting the goats, counting the piglets and bottle feeding the lambs. There is plenty of animal interaction and learning opportunities here.


We are situated within a farm environment on the edge of Leighton Buzzard and provide children with the very best early year’s education, following the EYFS structure of learning like all our other farm-based Day Nursery sites.
Mead Open Farm Day Nursery & Pre-school has its own dedicated nursery garden and boasts modern
facilities in a rural setting.
