The Old Station Nursery Oxford

My child is very happy at Old Station Nursery. His key person knows him well and they have a strong bond. We talk about his development and areas on which I would like the staff to focus on. The staff responded with competence and care to a medical emergency my child was in recently and I am very grateful for that.

The Old Station Nursery based at Oxford Science Park is absolutely amazing. My son is in the preschool setting and his key worker is so thorough with handovers and updating photos of what he’s been up to every week. Communication is great when needing to contact the settings for changes etc. Everyone is so friendly, polite and really welcoming. As my son has progressed through nursery his old keyworkers have kept in touch and are still in contact with him which is lovely. My son absolutely loves coming here! Couldn’t recommend it anymore! Massive Thumbs up!

Our daughter, who has developmental delays and a working diagnosis of ASD loves her nursery and the wonderful staff that look after her. The nursery is very inclusive and welcoming and the staff are always cheerful, patient and very friendly. The resources are great too. Everyone is always very helpful and we feel confident our daughter is happy, safe and cared for really well. The children also spend a lot of time outdoors in a lovely and spacious garden. I would highly recommend this setting.

When you send your child to nursery you hope for a few things, they are looked after by caring individuals that are invested in their well being, the environment is safe and fun, and all their needs are met (such as good meals and snacks, timely nappy changes, naps, support when upset). But they’re also given the opportunity to learn and explore through thoughtful and interesting activities. Old Station Nursery, Oxford achieves all this and more, my son loves attending the setting. As a business, I find Old Station Nursery, has great planning, foresight, and communication and the level of care is very high and consistent. With both daily updates, and more long-term development updates, you feel well supported as a parent and very safe in the knowledge your child is being cared for by a wonderful team of professionals, who are excellently managed.

My daughter runs into nursery every time with a happy face and full of excitement! We never have any issues and the staff are very helpful, the only thing I would change is introducing a system where we can see the fluid and food intake on the app every day, sometimes we don’t get a clear handover of what she has eaten and drank during the day. Thank you for a lovely, safe environment for our little one.

As a first time mum, the staff at The Old Station Nursery were amazing at welcoming my son and making sure he was settled. They understood the anxiety as a new parent leaving your child with a stranger and comforted me as a parent offering support and advice which was amazing to feel. The staff are open to try new routines and adjustments to suit the needs of the child. And are constantly offering support and advice. My son has an amazing bond with his key person but will happily go to any adult in the room. I feel happy knowing he has a fun-filled day at nursery. The Old Station Nursery offer some amazing activities for babies such as music, messy play, role play, song time and outdoor play. As well as ample opportunity to free flow giving the children the choice to decide. The food always goes down a treat, my son always comes home with a full tummy and a messy shirt. A sign of a fun-filled day. I couldn’t praise the baby room staff well enough! I cannot wait to see how he progresses!

Since my daughter joined the nursery last year, I could not be happier with the overall experience. All the members of staff are kind, helpful and always smiling. My daughter absolutely loves it and you can tell that she is very well looked after. I have not seen the new facility properly yet but it looks amazing from the outside.

My experience with the nursery continues to be an extremely positive one, the staff are incredible and have made everything from dealing with Covid to a site move smooth and uninterrupted. My daughter goes from strength to strength at this nursery, she has grown in confidence and independence and a huge percentage of this is down to her time at Old Station Road and the impeccable level of care and support she receives there, the facilities and the team are second to none.

My two daughters really enjoy going to nursery, especially since moving to the new building. The staff are really amazing and very attentive, telling you all about their day when you pick them up. I have so much confidence that they are being well looked after whilst I am at work, thank you.

We've had a really positive experience for the entire year our son has attended. Staff have always been very kind, happy to help and friendly. Our son's key worker, in particular, has made an amazing attachment with him and he's always very excited to see her.

Staff are very nice and friendly. Girls are very happy.

My toddler is very happy at the Old Station Nursery. She gets more stimulation and undertakes more activity than I could ever provide at home. She learns a lot and the staff are great. There is a good menu and variety of food, although my one criticism would be that I would prefer that sugar was not on the menu, which is something I have experienced at other nurseries too.

Absolutely wonderful nursery. The staff are fantastic and are really lovely with the children. My son loves going and comes home to tell me some fantastic stories. Highly recommended this nursery.

Our son is always happy to go to nursery and to come back. He has lots of stuff to tell us about his day. He loves the food. He has no problem napping. And he enjoys playing with the rabbits, giving them carrots. Children can spend lots of time in the garden.

I have found The Old Station Nursery to be incredibly supportive and welcoming to my son and have worked hard with us to help him settle in well. The staff, and especially his key worker, are kind and sensitive to his needs, and I know he is well looked after there.

Lovely setting - very professionally managed with caring staff and a creative, play-led approach to learning. Our daughter has settled well and is very happy here. We’re delighted to see how quickly she’s developing under the guidance of her teachers - art, music, speech and language, motor skills, socialising, sense of humour… Excellent work, guys; thank you!

The staff are absolutely fantastic. My son really, really enjoys nursery and is making rapid progress in all developmental areas. He always smiles as soon as he realises where he is, and how he interacts with his key worker is amazing. I couldn’t ask for more.

The staff are excellent - always there to listen to any questions or concerns and to talk about our son and the things he got up to during his day. Most important is our son comes home happy, chatting about the fun things he got up to, and excited to share art and other projects he made during his day.

Lovely staff and very good at what they do. My son enjoys his time at nursery and learns lots of new and important things that will ultimately benefit his life skills moving forward. Thanks to everyone involved.
