My son started at The Old Station Nursery a few months ago and we couldn't be happier with our experience so far. He settled in within two weeks and we can already see the amazing ways it's helping him develop - he went from refusing food to munching full meals within a few days of starting nursery, his sleep has improved and he's super confident and happy there. We're so thankful for the wonderful staff there - from the ace baby room staff to the on-site catering queen to the brilliant manager, everyone is kind, delightful and goes above and beyond to make my son and us happy and comfortable. We were particularly impressed by the way that the nursery carefully noticed when he bonded with a particular person and made them his key worker. We get lots of updates on the app during the day and a run-down of the day on pick-up. They do a great range of activities and we love the way that the kids spend plenty of time outside too. Would encourage anyone who's thinking about it to apply!

We enrolled our son into this nursery at the end of October 2023 with an official start date in November and from the start of enquiry right through to our son's settling sessions the nursery and staff have been amazing. We were worried at the start about our son settling as he hadn't been away from us really into a childcare setting but the nursery was so comforting and understanding when he was settling and would offer plenty of reassurance to us as parents. It has been lovely being able to go in when collecting our child as it enables us to see him playing and interacting.

We are really happy with this nursery and we are glad to have chosen to enrol him here.

We’ve had a great experience with The Old Station Nursery Oxford.
The staff are caring and attentive, the facilities are clean, safe, and well-equipped. Everything feels well organised. We always feel confident leaving our daughter in their care.

My baby has settled in very nicely and has been looked after by the team of great ladies. They made sure she was safe and well. I specifically was worried about the nap times as she is very fussy who she falls asleep with, but with love and affection, they made it look so easy. Thank you. I would strongly recommend the nursery.

The nursery and staff I cannot fault. My son who is 3 has been attending this nursery since he was 4 months old and the service received has been excellent. The constant price rises are why I had to find an alternative nursery.

Since my son started here he has really thrived in all aspects and his key person is amazing and the other days are great too and really meet his needs. My son also comes home happy after his nursery session.

Such a lovely and caring place!

My son really enjoyed being there since the very beginning. His key person was so caring, supportive, understanding and warm. I’ve always been really happy with my daughter’s care at nursery. She has so much fun and the team really treats her as an individual understanding each child is (undoubtedly) different! We have been really grateful for the increase in photos provided as this was very minimal when she first joined. The team always go the extra mile with activities which is also really appreciated. This has been a wonderful nursery for our son. The staff are great with the children and make an effort to meet their needs. The transition between rooms as our son got older was handled brilliantly, and the feedback at the end of the day is detailed and personal. It really feels like they have the child's best interest in mind. My son speaks so happily about his interactions with the adults, as well as the children and activities they do at the nursery. The manager also really knows the children and families, creating a pleasant atmosphere!

The staff and management are so supportive and professional. They are always so accommodating too. My second child is now there and both children love it. The premises are lovely too with a great outdoor space.

My toddler loves the nursery! He's always very happy to be dropped off, eats well and sleeps well there. They have been very supportive when we decided to start potty training at 18 months. I know some other nurseries that wouldn't help with it or not until they're over 2.

My daughter started at the age of four months and the level of care was incredible. I was nervous about leaving her so young, but she flourished in the baby room and it felt like everyone on staff knew her name! The weaning journey as she approached one year was also excellent with high levels of support given to what we were also doing at home with food, and baby turned from a rather cautious eater to a big and varied appetite (thanks also to the wonderful catering lead). Update on her day is always personal, knowledgeable and invested and we also get regular updates through the app with clear indicators of her progress and what she's doing. Old Station Nursery feels incredibly caring and friendly and I'm delighted that my daughter has a place in this setting.

My son is happy to go to daycare and I believe this is a good indicator of how much he enjoys his time there. We get regular updates on his progress and developmental activities etc. and he is so attached to his carer.

My son was in a nursery previously but since moving he’s come on leaps and bounds. The care given to my son I really couldn’t fault or ask for much more!

Each member of staff are friendly and make me feel at ease. I drop my son with no worries what so ever. All I can say is thank you for changing my perspective on nursery’s!

I would say the greatest nursery in Oxford! Location is brilliant, loads of nature around.
They will walk extra mile to help your child, they will always support you as a parent and also will look for ways to help if needed extra sessions.
My child needed extra support with development, and nursery staff throughout the years looked for ways to help, one to one sessions, applied for educational support for upcoming years. My child achieved milestone with The Old Station Nursery! I will be grateful and proudly can say only great things about staff members.
Every day you receive feedback, photos and updates on development, how they spend days and always will ask if you as a parent need any help or support regarding your child!

I love Old Station Nursery and all the staff.
They really care and make my child feel special and always welcome and loved. My toddler absolutely loves going each day and comes home tired out from a fun-filled day. I love the updates and pictures to see what she’s been getting up to, it always looks like the staff and children have equal amounts of fun!
Always helpful with keeping sleeping bags, dummies and cups just for your child to make it as homely as possible. No need to cart them back and forth each time! I’m so so glad I chose this nursery and it made going back to work so much easier. I know that my child is well looked after and well entertained as well as learning key skills. I can see each time she is home the positive progression in her skills, it blows me away.
I feel the staff really care too to help develop those skills and increase them each time like helping with the walker or using a pen.

My son settled really well within 2 weeks, the key person was present most days and gave a daily update on activities and progress. He bonded really well with all members of staff in the baby room, who are friendly to all the children in the room.
Every day at drop off a staff member comes to pick up my son at the door and asks how he is and how the previous evening/weekend was. At pick-up time, there is always someone who provides an update on what he ate, how he slept and how he played/interacted with others.
Outside space/garden is accessible to all children easily. Daily moments like activities are captured in pictures and made available through an app. Framework indicators are ranked, and progress can be tracked.

All requests from parents seem to be accommodated promptly and general communication is very good.

Hello, I'm Charlotte and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Oxford. I am qualified BA Hons in Early Years.

We have a really friendly team here in Oxford and enjoy following the children’s interests in all that we do. We are really convenient for parents who work on the Park, but we also welcome all local families
