My son has been attending this nursery since May this year. Staff have been very welcoming and helpful in getting him settled in the nursery. When approached, staff have always been friendly and approachable. Thank you for helping him develop over the last few months and for looking after him.

We have used YMCA since 2013 for both our boys. During this time, the staff have been wonderful and are always attentive to their needs, no matter how small. My eldest really came out of his shell here and my youngest now has really thrived. Staff are friendly and like a second family.

The nursery

is beyond adequate and a home away from home. We live outside the area so it says a lot that we have chosen to bring our children here.

The main thing is that all the staff are very friendly and open. All the small ones are encouraged and involved in different kinds of activities.

Fantastic nursery setting, both my children have attended this nursery from the babies room right the way up to pre-school. The staff are very kind and accommodating and I always feel my children are in safe hands. I have watched my children develop and grow so much there and they are always happy to
go there which is most reassuring as a parent.

My son has been attending Greets Green YMCA nursery for about 9 months and he loves the place. He settled in really quick too. The staff are friendly and I love the energy they have with the children. Great range of activities, its kept fun but educational! Even parents can get involved. Highly recommend
this place.

My eldest daughter attended the nursery from 2010 - 2013 and by the time she graduated it was like a second home to her. So when I had my second child I had no hesitation in starting her at the nursery.

I was still very nervous to start with and my little one didn't like being separated from me.

The staff were wonderful, they gave her lots of hugs and cuddles and listened to my advice on how to comfort her. They were never too busy to reassure me when I called to check on her. After only around 10 days she fully settled in and started running into the room and throwing her arms around the staff members.

The setting is lovely, clean and inviting as well as homely and even though all of the staff work so hard they all have warm smiles on their faces.

I cant recommend the nursery enough for how they have taken care of my girls :-)

I have twins that attend the nursery, they love coming to nursery. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I especially like that they have now employed a male member of staff who is really nice, my children really like him and look up to him.
I feel very comfortable with all members of staff.
They listen to my queries and will always do something about them.
the nursery is very clean and inviting. All the children seem happy.

I enrolled my daughter over a month ago after hearing lots of positive feed back from other mothers from playgroups. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. My daughter has settled very quickly and enjoys her time at nursery. As a result, we have gone from one morning a week to one full day a
week. Me and my fiancee are extremely happy with the care our daughter is receiving. Thank you to everyone at the nursery.

I had little dealings with the nursery staff, as mum normally did the school run, but my girls always spoke positively about their time there and of the staff.
The few occasions where I would collect my girls from the nursery were always a bit difficult, as they'd refuse to leave! I always took this
as a good sign as they seemed very settled and comfortable in the environment.
They would talk about the events of their day with enthusiasm and would look forward to attending on the days they did go.
Overall it was a great experience.

My twin girls started attending this nursery in 2015. They graduated last month, July 2017 and it was a tearful day.
The staff at the nursery are great. They create lasting impressions on the children, as my girls would often discuss the staff while at home and were eager to tell me about their day.
They would say how a member of staff would comfort them when they were sad, or helped them with a craft activity or even may have scolded them for not paying attention during circle time (haha).
The memories they created there and the friendships they made are so precious and these friendships extend to the entire family.
The staff are very attentive to the children and would pick up on subtle changes in a child's behaviour right away. I have honestly never heard them raise their voice at a child, no matter how challenging the child's behaviour may be.
They are friendly, approachable and just overall brilliant.
I have absolutely nothing but praise for the Greets Green Centre.

My son went for the free for two and stayed up until his 3rd birthday. He loved the nursery. The staff were friendly and approachable. He learnt a lot but as I wanted to send him to a school nursery he left. Keep it up, guys!

My son went to the nursery for his pre school year doing funded hours, at the beginning he was unsettled and the staff were very patient, caring and gave him lots of encouragement to help him settle. Since then he has enjoyed every minute at nursery and looks forward to going, he comes home each day
telling me about all the exciting things he's done.
The staff are all welcoming and friendly and easy to approach. My little boy just had his graduation which all staff and children worked hard to give a good show for parents. It was so lovely. I'm sad to see him leave but will def be back soon with my little baby when maternity is up. It's going to be hard to leave her at 8 months but I know she will be safe and I have a lot of trust in the staff!!

My son has attended the setting since he was just a few months old, he loved it from the very first moment and three years later still does! He really enjoys his time there and never wants to come home! The nursery has a really warm and welcoming environment, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. My
son has learnt so much in his time at nursery and it has helped him to become more confident and sociable. Would definitely recommend the nursery other parents.

Both my children have attended the setting and my youngest is still there. I am very happy with the care they have both received whilst being at the nursery. Staff are always very welcoming and pleasant to myself and my child. There is always lots going on and my son is always happy to attend. His development
has come on in leaps and bounds in the last year and it is all down to the hard working staff. He is academically above his age and they are currently encouraging and stimulating his mind which I and his father are very happy with. It is a very clean and well looked after by the staff and management team.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.687)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.687) out of 10 for YMCA @ Greets Green is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.979 for YMCA @ Greets Green is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.979
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.708 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for YMCA @ Greets Green is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.333
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
