Staff have all been excellent! Settled our baby in really well and after a week she was happy to say goodbye to us. The manager replied to all our messages really quickly whenever we had questions. I would definitely recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience at Munchkins Nursery in Wivenhoe. From the start, the staff was welcoming and supportive, they showed us around before our little one's first day, answered all our questions and listened to our needs. They made us and our toddler feel safe and comfortable. This helped him
settle in quickly and create special bonds with the staff. We appreciate seeing pictures of the daily activities, where you can tell children are having fun and being nurtured. From what I see, the staff encourages spontaneous play and individual preferences, while proposing age appropriate learning opportunities. They planned special trips to the library, the park or the pier, which the children seem to enjoy a lot. We also appreciate receiving a detailed account of his day when we pick him up in the evening. For us, seeing our little one's wide smile at drop in and pick up is the best sign that he is in a trustworthy and positive environment, and we couldn't be grateful enough.

Could not recommend Munchkins enough! Both my toddlers enjoy their time here, always happy and thriving! All the staff are wonderful and care about the children so much and their development! Both my toddlers have the same key worker and she is absolutely amazing, they both have the best relationship
with her and adore her she is so good with the children and amazing when it comes to helping with their development and skills, she is so patient and kind as are all of the girls! There's so much to offer at the nursery they even get to go out on little trips. Best place for any child! Would not send them anywhere else!

Both of my children have attended Munchkins and they absolutely love(d) going there! I am so grateful for the care and support they have received and it's lovely to see them so happy when they're picked up at the end of the day. My little one joined the preschool room in September after we moved house.
She's settled in fabulously, she loves going and playing with all her friends and the nursery ladies.
We love the forestry location and all the outdoor space.

Having moved house and area in the Spring, we were looking for a new nursery for our daughter in the lead up to her starting school in September. From initial contact, through to registration, we received a friendly and professional service, which was a blessing during a time of big change for us as
a family. Our daughter settled in quickly and has really enjoyed her time at Munchkins. Her keyworker, and all of the staff, have been brilliant. The nursery is a lovely setting in a great location, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

My son couldn't enjoy Nursery more, he loves it at Munchkins. The staff were all brilliant at encouraging him when he first started and he has now come out of his shell and loves his nursery days. I can't thank the staff at Wivenhoe enough for how well they take care of my son. I never worry when I

My daughter absolutely loves her days at Munchkins! Her key person is just the best, she’s so enthusiastic and bubbly and my daughter has such a great bond with her. She cares for her as if she was family and it’s lovely to see. All of the staff are wonderful and you can tell they really care about
the children. She always comes home happy and I feel like she learns a lot there and is thriving. Her confidence has grown and I’m very pleased with the setting.

My daughter has been attending Munchkins for 6 months, 2 days a week and is having a fabulous time.
Staff are knowledgeable, and have noticed her little ways/quirks I’d presume as only a parent would and she absolutely adores all of them, is super happy to wave me goodbye and enjoy her day there!
The little experiences provided are a wonderful extra, again the staff go above and beyond to create these for the children, we had a Father Christmas visit with a particular character and a present for the child! All in the wonderfully decorated yurt which parents were able to attend.
I’ve received my daughter’s first Christmas craft projects, which were adorable and they even arranged coasters to be printed as an extra.
She is blossoming there, I have full confidence in the Munchkins team and the environment and the full range of activities provided both inside and out are assisting in creating a confident, happy and very settled child.
I really can’t praise the whole experience enough.

I have two children at Munchkins, both of whom receive excellent care. The staff and facilities are first rate and the kids always come home with smiles on their faces. We've previously had some difficulties with behaviour and development and staff have gone the extra mile to make sure that strategies
are in place to support them at nursery, and arrangements are in place for us to mirror this at home. Perhaps a little more pricey than some nurseries, but more than worth the extra cost. The diversity of experiences my children have from Munchkins is excellent.

My daughter originally didn't settle well at nursery; however, the nursery offered us some extra settling sessions and produced home-nursery books with pictures and simple text (one for home and one for nursery) to help us talk to our daughter about the nursery, helping her settle.
We get regular updates
throughout the day about how she is getting on, what she is eating, when her nappy was changed, what activities she has engaged in, etc.

My daughter started when she was three and has been at Munchkins for about 8 months. It's a great nursery, lovely location in the park and with good outdoors area, the staff are very engaged with the children and really take the time to get to know them. They plan lots of activities, this month they
have been making bird feeders and learning to climb trees safely, with handouts sent to parents and carers suggesting how the learning from these activities can be built on at home. There is great communication with parents via email, the Tapestry app and parents evenings. And I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done to remain open and (so far, touch wood) not to lose a single day due to the pandemic.

At the beginning of June, we enrolled our little boy into Munchkins. We were so aware that he had been stuck at home with just Mum and Dad, having also just moved to the area, we hadn't been able to establish a friendship group for him. The nursery manager and the team (especially his key person) welcomed
our son with open arms. His confidence grew, his motor skills improved, he started to come out of his shell and couldn't wait to tell me all the different activities he had done that day! He also started to form some lovely friendship groups! Munchkins is a beautiful pre-school, set in the most wonderful outdoor/indoor setting. I always felt so relaxed leaving him off knowing that he was getting all the support and love he would get at home. Thank you to the team, our son has grown at least an inch since being with you, not only in height but also in confidence!

The manager and the team at Munchkins are fantastic. As first-time parents and coming out of the COVID pandemic, it was so daunting to leave our son as he'd not been without one of us until then at 13 months. The team have made us feel welcome and at ease every step of the way and were so patient with
us. Daily updates of how he's doing, we can see the improvements in his progression at home too! Was all worth pushing through the tough first few weeks leaving him as he now loves seeing one staff member in particular in the morning and runs in without hesitation. Thank you Munchkins.

I took my 4-year-old to nursery this morning; it’s his last day. Four years of nursery has flown by, as it does for all parents I suppose. His time with Munchkins Nursery has been full of adventure, learning, caring and friend-making. The staff have been the most caring and nurturing that we could have
wished for. I’m just going to pick him up for the final time. I think the warm welcome that we receive from all the staff, but particularly the excellent manager will be sorely missed. We would recommend Munchkins very highly to anybody.

Our little boy moved to Munchkins in July 2020 after 4 months at home due to COVID. I was quite nervous about how he would settle after leaving his previous nursery and the period at home but everything has been handled so well! I can’t thank the manager and the team enough. The staff are all so warm,
kind and passionate and they have truly taken the time to get to know my son's likes/needs and routine - always being totally led by him! The nursery itself is warm and homely with a fantastic garden and a brilliant range of resources. The communication is fantastic and most importantly my son runs through the gate without looking back every morning - he loves it and doesn’t stop nattering about the ‘magic garden’ as it has become known in our house. The staff are so supportive of the children and us as parents. They look after the children as if they were their own and provide a fabulous variety of activities, great routine and the Forest school is superb.
We are so pleased we sent our child to Munchkins and the nursery staff have put so much
into his development, we cannot thank them enough for helping our little boy become who he is.

My child has been attending this nursery for 14 months and I am so happy with the care my child receives. All the staff are really lovely and friendly. The nursery provides great care and updates you daily with news on how your child is getting along. Highly recommend. Thank you.
