Hurly Burly Day Nursery

We originally chose them for their brilliant amount of outside space but soon found the whole nursery has a lovely, welcoming and well utilised space. I would recommend to anyone!

Charlie and the team are absolutely amazing and we can not thank them enough for being the amazing child care support we all need in this society.

I have had both my children attend at hurly burly over the last five years they have nurtured and helped my children thrive! My daughter wishes she was still at hurly burly! They have always been friendly approachable and nothing too much trouble! Professional and consistent! I would highly recommend this nursery and am very greatful for the care they have given both my children. They cannot do enough to help and will engage the children in daily activities to bring them on! The manager is fantastic and all the staff are so good at their jobs! My children are well cared for and love attending!

My daughter moved to this nursery last summer when her previous one was at risk of closure. She has enjoyed nursery so much the last year and loves everyone who works there! They have supported my child accommodating all of her allergies & potty training

My son started here in January. I was absolutely terrified at the thought of leaving him anywhere but as soon as I stepped foot inside this nursery I knew I had nothing to worry about. The staff here are absolute angels on earth and you can see how deeply they care about each child and their progression and wellbeing. My son has thrived since starting here, his eating has improved and his confidence in himself has skyrocketed. Everytime I pick him up he is so proud of himself and I can only thank the staff for this as this is obviously from the encouragement and support they give him when he is there. I never thought I would get to the stage where I look forward to him going to nursery, but seeing how happy he is and much he is progressing in all aspects of his development I can't help but feel excited for him everytime he goes. I have been dealing with Hurly Burly since Oct 2024 and I have never had an issue or worry. My eldest has additional needs and I wholeheartedly trust the team with him, and have them to thank for going above and beyond to meet his needs. Charlie and the team have been so supportive throughout all aspects of help and guidance needed throughout and always well the children with warm smiles.

My daughter thrives at this nursery and there care and compassion is amazing.

We cannot recommend Hurly Burly Nursery highly enough. Our son joined when he was just one, having recently moved from Japan, and he settled in immediately - he's always happy to go and has never cried at drop-off. The staff are incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive, always putting each child's needs, safety, and happiness first. It's such a relief as parents to know he is safe, content, and thriving while we work. Several colleagues from my workplace also send their children here; many did extensive research before choosing a nursery, and all share the same positive experience. Hurly Burly provides a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to explore, learn, and enjoy every day. We are extremely grateful for the care, dedication, and attention shown to our son, which has given him a happy, confident, and positive start.

I would recommend Hurly Burly to anyone thinking of sending their little one to nursery. It's a hard thing to do, and I was very anxious to begin with, but the kindness shown from all of the staff made me feel so much more comfortable.

My son started here in September 2025, He was a shy boy to start with, with little confidence, but since starting at Hurly Burly, he has become more confident, more talkative, and super independent, he is thriving in all his milestones too. I cannot fault the staff, they are all super helpful, and always communicate with me about my childs day. We are also a high neurodiverse household and the staff at Hurly Burly have made note of this and are always putting in extra support for my son. The Nursery itself is full of postivity, they have lots of activities for the children to do. My child feels safe here and looks forward to coming in. My youngest daughter also attended here 8 years ago too and its the same calming environment that helped her thrive. I wouldnt send my child anywhere else but Hurly Burly.

My baby has loved his first 6 months at nursery and has really built up his confidence. Thank you to his lovely keyworker Sophie and all the rest of the team in the baby room. There are other nurseries locally with more outdoor space or fancier sounding pedagogy statements. But Hurlyburly has a wonderful culture of being caring, staff seem happy and there hasn't been much turnover since I first visited the service a year ago (there's been a familiar face every day since my son started). I think this speaks to fantastic management putting children and the staff that look after them first. I'd recommend to any local parent.

Hurly Burly Nursery in Tiverton has been absolutely wonderful for our little boy. From the moment we first visited, the staff made us feel so welcome and reassured. It's clear that they genuinely care about the children and put a lot of thought into creating a safe, happy, and stimulating environment.

Our son absolutely loves going each day and always comes home full of beans and very happy! The activities are varied and creative, and it's lovely to see how much effort the team puts into helping the children learn through play. His confidence and social skills have really grown since starting there, which has been amazing to see as a parent.

The staff are warm, attentive, and always take the time to communicate with us about his day, which means a lot. It's such a comfort knowing he's somewhere he feels happy, supported, and excited to go to.

My son transferred to this nursery when he was 12 months and they were so great with him, and continue to be great. Everyone who works there really cares for my son, and he loves going to nursery. Their communication is great as well.

The management are fantastic at offering support when needed. They respond quickly to enquiries and do their upmost to accommodate any changes in circumstances.

My little boy absolutely loves it here. He has come on so much since starting and his speech and knowledge is really showing. All the girls are so lovely and welcoming and it's so warming to see how happy they make my little boy.

What a lovely nursery! I know my daughter is in safe hands here. All the staff genuinely care so much for the children, my daughter loves all the staff in the baby room. Her development since going to hurly burly is amazing. Every week she has learnt something new. This is totally down to them, every week she has done something different, the activities are amazing too. She has been given endless opportunities. I am forever grateful.

We have now our second child at Hurly Burly nursery and we are very happy in our decision that we have chose them again. We are a bilingual family and the nursery supported both of my children to develop their English while they were/are attending there. My son loves going to this nursery and it makes all the difference at the start of the day that we know he feels emotionally safe and comfortable there. He has built up a strong bond with the staff there. They are going out to the garden in every weather and have a lot of fun being messy and creative.

Our daughter loves going to Hurly Burly. She walks in happily each morning, pleased to see the members of staff in her room. She loves the routine and her development is coming on leaps and bounds. The communication is great between myself and the nursery and I feel confident in the knowledge that they will inform me if there are any problems.
