Hurly Burly provides home style childcare with a large outdoor area and lots of outdoor play.

The team provide learning through play with genuine love and care. They work with parents to make sure that each child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential, readying them for school and their life ahead.                

The nursery has 7 classrooms; these are split into the nursery side for children aged 0-3 and the pre-school for children aged 3-5 years.
Each classroom has access to outdoor space, a wide selection of resources and age appropriate challenges.

The setting is friendly and fun and the team look forward to welcoming you.

Our daughter is 12 months old and has been going to Hurly Burly since she was 9 months old. She loves going and is happy to go in every morning which has made returning to work much easier. The staff are amazing and the care and activities are great. Tapestry is updated daily so we can see what she
has been learning and it gives us peace of mind. Thank you, Hurly Burly!!

I cannot praise them enough. My son (now 1 yr old) started around 7 mths old and has loved every day being there. For my older children, I used a childminder but I wouldn't now after experiencing a nursery. Not only does it remove the minder going sick leaving you with no childcare but there are more
staff on hand to help with all my son's needs.
He is such a happy boy and is really lovely with others which I honestly feel is down to being in such a lovely environment with other children.
He beams whenever he sees any of the staff. Us parents really love the nursery too, from the support they give to the feedback they provide, you're always kept in the loop.
They use electronic diaries or paper ones.
The nursery provides care from 8am to 6pm for a great price, which includes all meals/snacks, all made on site. You just provide nappies. They accept all sorts of payment types such as salary sacrifice schemes etc. I cannot thank all the staff enough for everything they do for my son.

Best nursery in town (we went everywhere to see facilities) and the best staff are always there. My child loves going there which is the best review (in a different nursery she was always crying).

My daughter started when she was seven months old and we have always been really happy with the quality of care provided by the staff and the excellent setting of the nursery.


Each day is well structured, varied and includes a lot of outdoor activities in the large outdoor garden areas all year round.

The nursery provides a good balance of both fun and educational activities and our daughter always enjoys her days at nursery and is happy at drop off/collection. The food provided is good quality, varied and plentiful throughout the day.


Biggest praise though has to go to the staff. They offer a superb level of care and engage and communicate well with parents. If and when issues do arrive they work closely to resolve them and are supportive in following routines created at home. The parents evening sessions are also a great way to discuss your child's development and look at next stages. The transition between rooms/ages groups is also well handled.

Fantastic setting. My little boy was so excited to attend and learn every day. Fantastic communication and they always followed my lead which to me was crucial.
