Little Adventurers Nursery aims to offer the greatest possibility for discovery, exploration and adventure within a home from home environment that promotes positive relaxed learning. They believe in having adventures with children every day, giving children as many spontaneous learning opportunities as possible and learning in the moment.

As a family run nursery, they are enormously proud of their setting which offers care of the highest quality to childcare from three months to five years.   The highly professional and caring staff team are led by a manager who is an early years teacher with over 30 years' experience in early years education.

All staff hold professional childcare qualifications, have enhanced DBS checks and all full-time staff have paediatric first aid certificates as well as safeguarding training.

The nursery has both CCTV and a key fob door entry system installed throughout its premises for high level security.

The nursery's optimum nutrition menu has been devised in consultation with their in-house health nutritionist and their own nursery cook prepares fresh meals onsite daily ensuring the menu meets the whole daily nutrient requirement for children under five.

Parents and carers are encouraged to visit and see for themselves all that the nursery has to offer; including the wonderful nursery garden with a veggie patch and purpose designed mud kitchen.

My son started at this nursery from when he was only 10months old and he recently left to go to school. My daughter joined 2 years later also when she was 10months old and is still there. I love the nursery, they really make it feel like one big family. It's always daunting leaving your kids at childcare
from a young age, but honestly I feel so comfortable sending my kids here. The staff are brilliant, the food options are amazing and I love they have everything freshly made in house. Both my kids have learnt so much here and they really do provide great opportunities and life experiences. Especially forest school in the pre school room, my son learnt so much from these sessions. Thank you to all at Little Adventurers, you are all truly amazing.

My son is leaving for School after 3 wonderful years and my daughter has just started. He has so many lovely memories. From the home from home environment in the baby room to the wide variety of activities offered, and informal everyday learning in the pre-school room. The Staff are all amazing they
care for and understand each child's individual needs. Home cooked healthy meals are served daily which my children both loves. A lovely well-maintained garden which the children love and use daily. My son is going to miss Little Adventurers very much.

Fantastic nursery - our children love it. The staff are warm, with low turnover there is a consistent team for the children to develop relationships with. Great equipment inside and out, with trips to parks and strong links to the primary school to help with transition. We get daily updates and photos,
plus tasty, healthy meals (children even help with cooking and preparing the snacks). Always clean, welcoming, and supportive - highly recommended

I absolutely love little adventurers- it has been everything I hoped for and more. After a not so great experience with my older daughter's nursery, I'm beyond grateful to have found this one. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and accommodating. It's clear
how much the children adore them, and that strong bond makes such a difference. My daughter looks forward to going every day, which says it all!
The activities offered are amazing - there's painting and crafting to baking, role play, dancing, and learning. The nursery puts so much thought and care into keeping things fresh and engaging, and every room is filled with knowledgeable, supportive staff who truly understand and care for the children. The nursery manager is hands-on and completely in tune with what's going on with each child. It's so reassuring to know that every detail is being looked after.

Our overall experience of the nursery has been good. There are a number of positives to the nursery inc. 1. Classes from external companies i.e. sports, sing and sign etc which the children really enjoy.
2. A healthy menu with a wide variety of meals, my child eats things at nursery that she wouldn't
touch at home.
3. Lovely staff who build wonderful relationships.
Where I find the biggest challenge are the rising costs. From conversations with local parents Little Adventurers is now one of the more expensive nurseries in Upminster Over the duration of my child's time here prices have increased around 40% from the costs I was initially given when we signed up, to my child's final year.
With a number of new nurseries opening up in the area I would consider looking at other providers before recommitting to LA, Hopefully an increase in choices in the area will create more competition in the area and increased support from the government will make these fee's more manageable.

Of course, we too are disappointed to be forced to increase our nursery fees year on year. Unfortunately, our hands are tied as these increased costs are directly related to the proportionately higher increase to the minimum wage that the Government have rolled out in recent years. Coupled with this, businesses also face increases to National Insurance contributions, business rates and other expenditure. Whilst we work very hard to mitigate against these mounting costs, we are also keen to ensure the quality of our provision, food, resources and activities like Forest School, baby yoga, music sessions and Sing and Sign still continue. We are also committed to supporting our amazing team of qualified and highly experienced practitioners whom will all directly benefit from the fees increase. We take all reviews seriously and will share with our whole team.

My children have thrived so much in Little Adventurers, I am always amazed at how caring and lovely the staff is here.
The food is top quality and the chef always cooks fresh meals, which my children love so much!
I have also noticed that the nursery is always very clean and the staff members are
so welcoming, always with a smile on their face. In the mornings I know I'm leaving my daughter in safe hands and I trust the setting to take very good care of her!

Our little boy has been at the nursery for 6 weeks now and absolutely loves it! He has a big smile on his face as soon as he sees the staff and the other children. My little one started here in October 2023 and though he was unsure for the first few weeks, the staff made him feel comfortable and made us feel at ease from the beginning! He now absolutely loves going there and always has a good day. Every single member of the staff is very friendly, helpful and
approachable. His key workers ensure there are different daily activities to do which he enjoys and he has developed and gained so much confidence since joining. The weekly menu is carefully thought out which they change up every week to make meal times more enjoyable for the kids. They also ensure you get a daily feedback on what your little one has done for the day. Highly recommend this nursery!

From the moment we stepped into Little Adventurers to view it as a potential nursery for our daughter, we knew it was the one & we have only good things to say. Our daughter is thriving there. The staff are all so kind & friendly, they know all the children and parents on a first name basis. It is such
a welcoming environment, the children are all so content and happy whenever we have been there. Our daughter absolutely loves going there and runs in with a big smile on her face. We could not be more happy with how our child settled in and has grown since she attended nursery. The staff are wonderful, so kind and caring and they arrange many varied activities which my child enjoys and encourages her development. The food provided by the nursery is healthy and I like that the
menu changes each week. The nursery has a family feel to it. My child loves attending each week and has a lovely bond with the staff there.

My two children attend Little Adventurers (baby room and preschool room). My daughter has settled brilliantly in the baby room, whilst my son has thrived in the 3-5 year room upstairs. They do so much for the kids - exploring different themes each week, bringing in external activities to the nursery
such as sing and sign and football. My son particularly liked watching the chicks hatch and the butterflies break out of their cocoon. A great nursery with loving and caring staff!

My son has had a great time there in the last two and a half years. We chose the nursery out of many options because, from the beginning, we felt the welcoming vibe and considerable set-up. We appreciate that the nursery made a great effort to ensure that my son and I were ready for nursery life. The
nursery truly has a home environment for the children. Not only does the key person know my son well, but every staff member is amiable, energetic, kind, patient and reliable. They have lots of activities. My son goes part-time and he plays nursery games when he stays at home; that's how we know he truly enjoys all the games. The nursery provides very personal care: when my son was in the baby room, he only slept well in a cot, so the staff ensured he was in the cot for a good sleep. I also love that the staff communicates well regarding my son's daily day and milestone development. My boy eats so well in the nursery.

Little Adventurers Nursery is an amazing place for little ones to be and get involved in many things. Our son (who is 3 years old now) has been there full-time since he was 9 months.
There is not a day that you won't see the staff smiling and having a positive attitude that they are there for you and
the little one and that they have everything under control! From management to staff, all are very happy, positive and willing to help with everything!
Hygiene regulations and food are more than excellent and great! Garden outside for playtime is great with plenty of activities and creative toys for little ones to engage with and learn.
We love the place and we are so happy that our little one is there getting engaged with various new things and getting support for his amazing teachers!

During that time, Charlotte has also been promoted from Assistant Deputy to Deputy Manager and she is based in our under 2’s room. Charlotte has been with the setting since before opening as one of the core team members. “Joining Little Adventurers has reminded me why I went into childcare 13 year ago; to give high quality care in a loving and supportive environment. Seeing the change in our little ones from when they first arrive and settle; supporting them as they develop all their skills in prime and specific areas; watching them grow in confidence and enjoy their time at nursery before transferring to school. Kerry has been a member of the nursery team since the beginning and brings over 13 years of early years experience to the setting. Kerry is our Assistant Deputy Manager and was previously our Deputy Manager prior to her maternity leave. Kerry’s expertise is with our under 2’s age group and she is passionate about giving them a creative and happy time at nursery, “So much of their brain development happens at 0 to 2 years and this has a direct link to their likely outcomes at age 5 and above.” Kerry’s team say that she thinks outside the box and has a calming presence in the baby room. Kerry is also studying for her Level 5 qualification and has previously been a deputy manager. Talking about why she loves Little Adventurers Nursery, she says “It’s simply that children are always put first. We have the flexibility here to make them happy.” Kerry now brings her own little baby to nursery and what better testimonial can there be!

Lewis brings over 20 years experience of early years training to Little Adventurers. He has previously been in a deputy manager role and has Level 3 Business & Management Training. Lewis said that when he first went into childcare his passion was just about working with children but now he has developed that further and (along with having the experience of 4 of his own children) believes in keeping children happy and extending their interest through play. Lewis says, “Working at Little Adventurers has been one of the best supportive environments I have come across. It feels like a family here and it makes it a pleasure to continue my journey in early years education.” For us, it is great to have a male practitioner here at Little Adventurers and Lewis is such a hit with all our little ones!
